- World Cup Finals in Andorra was an amazing way to end the season. Not only are the organizers accommodating and so welcoming, but the weather was perfect and the vibe was so great. Even though I went into the series with the slalom, giant slalom, and overall globes locked in and no pressure, ending the season on a high note with a podium in slalom, and a win in giant slalom was so special (especially given Thea Louise Stjernesund and Valerie Grenier skied so strong).

Not only is Mikaela the greatest ski racer of all time, but she just might be the most gracious, kind, thoughtful, understanding, and eloquent world class athlete there is today. All athletes should take a page out of her book. She is amazing how she can compete at a world class level, do countless interviews with grace, and fulfill all of her obligations with a smile on her face, kindness, and a willingness to be thankful to all of those who support her. An amazing athlete and an even more amazing person.

What an awesome and humble woman. i raced with her father a number of years back in VT and know he would be so immensely proud of how she is handling all of the attention and pressure. Jeff was kind and humble as well. Congrats young lady and all the best moving forward.

Mark Twain once said that "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." I don't know what the answer to the "why" part is (only you can answer that) but I like to think the answer has something to do with the power of your example. I'm speaking of your ability to inspire people in a positive way and showing the rest of us how to be a good and kind person in this crazy world. All of your victories on the slopes don't mean anything if you're not a class act, and you, Mikaela, are indeed a class act! The Train Don't Stop, baby!!

Another wonderful and perfectly balanced episode of this unforgettable season. Thank you Mika for bringing yourself and doing your best. The results are now written in stone. Enjoyed you sharing this. As I've said before I enjoy watching you complete. I look forward to more in future seasons. I am sure it will be more great adventures for you. If one day, we could share a chair lift ride and ski run that would be a bonus to my 50+ years of skiing adventures.
What an amazing video showing the times you could soak in your success and have some fun while also showing the work it takes to be on your level. Just wanted to tell you I have been fallowing your skiing almost from your World Cup start . I would get up early on a Saturday or Sunday just to watch you race on tv . You are an inspiration to so many. I've watched you overcome so much the last few years and it helps me with my own sorrow of loosing a father. To have to watch my dad suffer for years with dementia was devastating. I felt for you when you lost your dad so young. But you've picked yourself up and you persevered. It's not easy and you'll never get over being without your dad but it inspired me to move forward and remember when times were good. Thank you. I loved Ingemar and now it's time for you to set a new bar for others to try and achieve.

I think you're the coolest skier to watch. There are a lot of fast skiers who look like they are always right on the edge in every turn, always just a moment away from a mistake, but you always look so precise, elegant, and in control. It always looks like you know exactly what you're doing. A lot of people say that that is "making it look easy" but I don't really think that's what it is, because I think it seems so extremely hard to stay so perfect under pressure. I don't really know what I'm talking about, because I barely know how to carve, but the results alone show that you're clearly a unique and awesome skier

One thing I wanted to mention, was in an earlier episode, there was a brief moment when you're on podium after winning, and you have your eyes closed and I think are having a private moment in the wake of your family's tragedy. Frederica Brignone looks across at you and smiles so kindly and genuinely, and I just thought that was one of the loveliest things I'd seen in sport. You must be a really special person when your close competitors are so authentically happy for you even after you win!
This has been an awesome series. It was a look inside the lives of ski racers that few on the outside could even imagine. Truly a hectic life and filming for all these episodes added to the chaos. Thank you for the huge effort that went into the making of Moving Right Along. You hard work is very much appreciated.

Dumb question. Are ski/wax techs as important in alpine skiing as they are in cross country. As we saw in the Tour de Ski, an in form Jessie Diggins simply had no chance to win because she had poor skis. Is it less important in skiing that has immensely steeper downhill slopes and no uphills? It has to make a difference though in a sport where the margins are in the hundredths of seconds. Maybe that’s the answer.
Ski techs are among the most important, if not the most important, components of our team! It's different than xc, obviously, but in the game of hundredths their work can make all the difference with the number of variables we deal with (weather, slope gradient, etc).
@@mikaelashiffrin This would make a great subject for an installment of Moving Right Along. What the techs do. How the skis and waxing are tested. Thanks for this great series.
