- We're back with Season 2 of Moving Right Along...hope you all enjoy the new season, and tune in to the races this weekend on my home turf in Killington-it's one of the best races on the World Cup and the crowd is absolutely incredible!!
I'm going to be honest, we had no idea what we were doing last season with this series, and my small but mighty team kind of just dove in head first, joined me for the ride, and crushed it...it was truly an unforgettable season and I still have to pinch myself. This season, join me as we share stories from the road, and I give you all a glimpse into my life on and off the snow, as well as introduce you to my team. In this episode, you'll meet my Atomic servicemen-Robert Bürgler and Lukas Rottinger. They are such a vital part of my team, and I am so thankful for Atomic's support. I wanted to share with you all what our Chile camp is like, how we work with the equipment to fine tune everything and "dial it in" for the season. I hope you enjoy it...many more to come!

You have been a huge reason on why I love ski racing.
Just incredible vulnerability and honesty from the Greatest ever who is still doing the work, day to day and teaching each one of us by sharing that everyone is simple, complicated and that we too can do better everyday. I hope this video finds one child who can see a new way forward and be better, happier and as determined as their hero is.
How rare it is to see someone so successful and grounded in humility at the same time. This is why she is the GOAT!

This is a brilliantly produced look into the life of a top level athlete. The productions levels are so high. I am captivated by this series. Thanks to all involved in producing such entertaining and informative episodes. It is rare we get to see behind the scenes of a career like this. The physics of your ski techs secrets is fascinating. I have followed this process every chance I get. The hand tuning of your edges is pure magic. When you have techs that understand the physics that much with tiny variations it is just mind blowing the thought they put into your skis. I wish they could tell more. The physics of the racers brain in tune with the skis I bet is like a perfecly tuned and balanced Indy 500 car. I really liked that section of this video. I hope you can share more with your techs along the way. Not so much secrets but just more like on raceday. It would be cool to see how much a race does to your skis setup after the race is over and you have smoked the field.
Any video production that involves a dance routine, let alone disco, wins every time! Tears, so good! I see a new ABBAish in the future. I love the intimate look at every side of the journey, but the very intentional methods. I have laughed and cried through season 1. There is one very core (tragic) commonality we have, so this series brings me a lot of comfort. Thank you for this.

Being an ex-racer and a father of racers who tuned a shitton of skis I really appreciate these details of ski maintenance.
I completely feel you. Several years ago I learned how to tune my skis myself from A to Z (young ex-racer) and after that, the feeling on the slopes is unmatched. Maybe I cannot drill a hole to the wall, but boy, I will make sure you will make that turn steady on the block of the ice :D
@ Yeah, a well tuned ski makes a big difference. I took my skis to a quality shop because I needed some edge work and they waxed the skis as well. Unfortunately, I did not rewax the skis before a powder day and they were dragging. Before I realized how far off the wax was, I jumped off a cat track and the skis just stopped. I did some serious damage to my meniscus that eventually required surgery. That injury eventually led to a knee replacement so I will not trust any wax that I did not apply.

This takes me back to July 1977 when I was skiing in Portillo, and we had a huge storm, 110 mph winds, 8 feet of snow and lifts couldn’t run for days. We hiked up for our turns. Airliner pilots had to ski out down the road to get back to work.

It is indeed a privilege to have a truly supportive team. The highs are fantastic but the real reward is how they can help you bounce back during the lows with their wisdom and belief.

Knowing nothing about ski tuning, it was fascinating to learn just how much goes in to tuning a race ski, even down to checking the snow temperature. And the slightest adjustments can make the difference between the podium or 6th.
I really enjoy this series, It must be very tough to win these races, everyone at the top is SO GOOD!

Very insightful as usual. It is especially fascinating how you reflect on your loses. When you win, it is easy to get and give the praises, but when the result is not the desired one, it is even more important, how you would react. And not only emotionally, but even more so to analyze every detail to get better the next time,. When you have basically achieved everything, it is very impressive to be able to do so.

The ski tech stuff is brilliant... of course for most mortals we have one pair of skis and one or two waxes that have to last a week but the reasoning behind it all is great! But I find it fascinating there is a pair of skis just for inspection. Love to know more about that... do the techs learn a bit from looking at them after inspection?

Well, theirs will be a most entertaining wedding with a major dance segment....raced at Portillo in September for a FIS Masters...unbelievable venue and truly one of the most beautiful venues on the planet..the family who owns the "Love Boat on the Snow" are great people and the on-site disco is fab and the party in the hot tub is epic. There are a typically a ton of Brazilians/Argentinians def add a major festive vibe to all. Be sure to ask for a room on the top floor facing the lake. Those rooms have the most quiet for great sleep and have the best views.
Saw you free skiing at copper last week. Potentially the coolest part of my life lol. Also very intimidating

Thanks for giving the opportunity to have a look behind 'the curtains'. Preparation procedures for equipment plus what kind of life the athletes spend there. Glamour is not the word that comes in mind in tvis vlog, but hard and consistent work. Michaela has been in this new season 2023/2024 more dominnant than ever. Like a, wine with aging gets better.After her long and very succesfull race history she gives an impression that she is stronger than ever. Why so, we dont know, but probably there are many explanations to that. I wonder what her competitors think now, and how they try or can imbalance her success. All those ppl love winning, and 'podium is better than six', but said that, its, always for top 10 racers a disappointment. For Petra Vlahova especially, because she is the key challenger, and thus, season has lost bit her edge. Time will tell if anyone can challenge truly Michaela, before she moves on in her life. But she wont do it before breaking the winning Record of 100 Wold Cup Race wins. And passes legendary Ingemar Stenmark in record statistics. Thats my educated quess. What you think?
