A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on CZcams. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on CZcams went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a CZcams video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on CZcams. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On CZcams, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”.
Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. It Was a great concert, who was not and could regret it, a big mistake.

Consider: Her parents have guided her career. In doing so, they have entrenched her within a demographic that is notoriously hard for younger artists to break into.
Consider: She will soon have complete creative control.
If we stop for a moment and consider that there is a plan in place for her to unleash that power that is so evident once she has "official" control, she will hit a younger audience as well. In doing so, she will already have millions of fans in a hard to crack demographic before fully taking on the rest...
Prepare for world dominance.

Angelina is sixteen years old in this performance. She is currently seventeen and she will be turning eighteen on January 10, 2024. She is the most musically gifted and talented young artist I have ever heard. Pianist Rob Christie is a two time Grammy award winner. He wrote the musical arrangement and Angelina created the vocal arrangement to this cover.

In Scandinavia she is more than a superstar. In late summer 2014 (age 8) the people of Norway declared her their National Treasure. Nothing for an american (Sir I am not trolling) but we crazy europeans respect such an honor badge. Since than every musician in Scandinavia is deeply moved when working with her, as she is a humble soul. Today she resides in LA and helps the homeless community where she can. Dicreedly!!!

She’s one of a kind my friend. Angelina won Norways got Talent at the age of 8 ! She sang “Bang Bang and Summertime “ Please check those out before you listen to her current music. It will blow you away. Her covers of Adel , Whitney , Elvis , Rihana are better than the originals. She performs in bare feet because she met a child in Asia that didn’t have any shoes. After talking to her AJ gave her the shoes she had on and ever since she goes barefoot to call to attention all the children that don’t have shoes to ware. She did an interview in Norway that will melt your heart . She tells about meeting the girl and giving her the shoes. She also sings during the interview.
Hope you enjoy and share a deeper dive into AJ's life work. She was 16 when she recorded this version of Suspicious Minds. Feel free to go back in time to when she was six years old. I suspect I am a decade or two older than you and have enjoyed all kinds of music over my life. I have never encountered anyone like AJ, her talent, her character, her innate beauty, all converge into a presence that cannot be ignored. She literally lights up any room or stage she enters. Her stage presence is commanding now and has been since she was a child and there are probably more than 250 videos on CZcams to demonstrate that. I am sure you will hear much more from her dedicated fans.

She sang for Quincy Jones and he was so impressed he remarked that she is the next best thing since Michael Jackson. High phrase indeed. You can choose ANYTHING she has done, original or cover and you are going to be blown away. Yes she is that good.
You are at the edge of one very large musical rabbit hole...over two hundred CZcams/TikTok recordings. She usually arranges her own music, and has been singing since before the age of seven.
It doesn't matter what your wheel house is. She will fit in very nicely with whatever you like. This girl can sing anything and she can sing it about as good as anything you have ever heard.

Angelina is amazing and well worth a deep dive starting from her childhood and if you expect childish performances you'll soon be proven wrong. I'm 79 and she's one of the most surprising singers of my lifetime!
The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the preteen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette and the Piano Player is Rob Christie Director of the Republic Records Los Angeles Studio which is the record label that Angelina has been signed with since she was 14 years old.
She is the best documented prodigy ever. Videos going back to 1 1/2 with her matching notes with Whitney Houston. She will go down in history as one of the best ever.

She is well known worldwide in the industry. Her family and Angelina have been holding back turning down many of the biggest in the industry while she finishes school. Remember she just turned 17 January 10th. They finally signed with Republic Records about three years ago after getting a deal that gave her control of her artistic vision and has since released 2 originals, 'Million Miles' & '7th Heaven' plus the opening soundtrack for the New Movie "The Hating Game" with her song 'Mercy' performed most notably by Duffy. Republic has labeled her their Highest Priority and assigned a team to her including Rob Christy a multiple Grammy Winner, often on the piano in many of her performances and a whole team of equally qualified professionals. She has worked with some of the best musicians in the industry and always get exactly what she wants. Some call her the Boss and have immense respect for her. Yes, this was her arrangement; if you like a dusky voice I think you will love Angelina... She does have a powerful voice though she doesn't unleash it unecessarily.... I think she's fantastic and if you explore you will discover she has sung many style, mostly on the jazz / blues end of things... Pretty sure you are going to enjoy finding out more about her....

Thank you for your reaction to Angelina Jordan. I am sorry that Angelina doesn't belt often. We have countless singers who can and do. Angelina only belts when she believes the song calls for it. Angelina is my all time favorite singer storyteller as she makes me FEEL her music more than any other. Every beautiful note has an intention to take us on a journey through the song and her rich, deep, full tone conveys the emotion. If you want to have more stories sung to you, then you have more than 200 to choose from by Angelina. If you want belting, you have more than 2000 singers to choose from.
For comments was in no way intended to be any type of a critique. It was merely my stating that I would like to hear her about something out because of the power she holds within. I have had a few people recommend her rendition of the Whitney Houston song that she did, so I will be reacting to that. The entire point of that statement was to emphasize the fact that I think she would put pretty much all of the other ones out there to shame. So many classic songs, which I have heard countless times in my 65 years, that I never heard or understood the lyrics and the meaning of the song until I heard Angelina sing them. She has re-imagined so many of the elite artists of the past and now is blessing us with her own music. I greatly appreciate the exchange of comments.
Yes Andy. Belting is just one of the many things in Angelina’s tool box. She uses it when needed to tell the story. Never just to show off which unfortunately some singers do. Her take on this song definitely does not call for belting.

You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (170+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice!
If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40-piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come.

AJ is know as the girl with a thousand voices, all emotionally expressing the story of the song. She sings in many different genres and many believe her covers are more moving than the originals. She also has many original songs and may as good a writer as she is a vocalist. As good as her recordings are she sounds even better live.❤
Angelina is from Norway, currently age 17 she lives in LA now. She competed on Norway's Got Talent at age 7, won at age 8. Appeared on AGT Champions at age 13, and released an original EP this year. Her Grandmother is the one who played this classic music that she fell in love with. She does do the arrangements, she is the boss. She is still so young, but sounds like someone 30,40, 50 years older. She has been describrd as "an old soul", to which I completely agree.

I agree, for power this is one of her best, BUT, which cover? "I Have Nothing" is one of her most favorite songs and she has covered it close to 10 times that I am aware of! And that is the ones that are on CZcams! The first was at the age of 13! It is great especially for a 13 yo. She did it much the same as Whitney, and you can tell towards the end her voice was getting tired. Starting in 2022 at her concerts in Norway she did it several times and has done it several other times since. She no longer does it in the same key as Whitney because she has a much deeper voice, but the range and power are still there every time! As for which is better than the others, if you asked 8 different fans you would get 8 different answers! They are all great. To give you a hint as to her power and stamina, check out her first performance in Norway in 2022 ( Allsang pa Grensen, the outdoor sing-a-long concert that she has performed at several times since she was 8 years old). She was suffering from jet lag having arrived just a few hours earlier from California where she now lives. Also the wind was blowing very bad! There were technical problems, both with her and with the TV crew. They had her sing the song again and with only one minute and 47 seconds between performances. The second performance is the one used on TV and on CZcams. A couple of others that show her power (there are several more) would be "It's a Man's World" at 12 yo performed with Norway's military band, and Queen's "The Show Must Go On" at 13. AJ is an extremely talented vocalist that has song many musical genres, all with a high degree of proficiency and from a very early age. She won the Norway's Got Talent competition at age 8 after auditioning when she was 7. AJ is a jazz goddess in the words of one the NGT members following her audition. Her recent originals, from her "Old Enough" EP, merge classic jazz and blues with contemporary hip-hop, rap and pop (and some other styles I have not identified). The vocal dexterity shows exhibits is, indeed, otherworldly.

My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. She's more about emotional nuance with a jazz feel. Her new EP, "Old Enough" shows where she is. Tons of stuff show where she came from. "I Put a Spell On You" at age 9 (b/w studio) is spectacular. The Hagstrom Red Guitar used in this video is a modern up to date copy of the one Elvis used in 1968, and belongs to Rob Christie, AJ’s A&R rep from Republic Records/Universal Music Group.
The Hagstrom Red Guitar belonged to musician Al Casey, a member of Elvis’ backing band during the special in 1968. According to an accompanying letter from Casey, he was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they "thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set."

Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. He is also the music director of Republic Records, the music company she is signed with. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King!
Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity.
Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out later this year. Angelina just recently released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to be a superstar, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. I think it is partly a CZcams phenomenon in the sense that we can follow, via YT videos, her career (and some aspects of her life) over so many years - her Grandma Mery recently released a video of Angelina singing Dolly Parton's song I Will Always Love You (the Whitney version) in her cot at the age of 18 months and it is amazing - and we become addicted followers who feel pride as she progresses.... also she has a very compelling (kind and compassionate) personality.

That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, three years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records
Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision.
AJ now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her. She states; "I feel incredibly lucky to have been signed by one of the biggest record companies in the world. I have my own studio where I make my own music. One note of caution, though Angelina is immensely powerful vocally, she only ever uses that power when the lyrics demand. Angelina uses her voice to promote the song and never uses the song to promote her voice..it’s never about her.

I'm not sure where your wheel house is, but I expect that in Angelina Jordan's wide spectrum of songs you will find many to enjoy! This young artist is 17 years old, but has been in the industry for almost 10 years. I think she is generally considered to be a Jazz singer, but she has not been afraid to reinvent songs by Elvis, Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Freddie Mercury as well many female artists from the past and present. Her voice is so versatile, she can do so many things, but only as appropriate to the song. For Angelina the story is of prime importance, she uses her vocal skills to bring out the emotion of a song, she feels the music and invites the listener to join her in living the story. If passion is what you are looking for you have come to the right place.
You might like to start with her rendition of I put a spell on you, in the original style of Jay Hawkins. She does every kind of music and can flex her voice to suit, yet it is always distinctively her.... don't know how she manages that. So dont expect 2 songs to sound the same. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."
Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song.
The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family.
Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

There is just something about her that will draw you in, she is a storyteller of the highest level. Her cover of "I Put A Spell On You" at age 9 is a must reaction, it is a truly phenomenal performance. But really anything she sings is amazing, you'll see. Congratulations, you just stumbled on my favorite "vocal artist," not just singer, of my lifetime. I stumbled on her 6 years ago & have been listening to her every day since then. Her ability to transfer emotion to her listeners is unmatched by any other vocalist I have heard, male or female, & I've been listening since the 60's. Liked & subed for your Angelina journey, just as she is about to explode in popularity when she becomes a legal "adult" on Jan 10, 2024 & her family lets her fly.

Angelina never brlt.belts just to show she can. It has to be integral to her interpretation of the song. Her voice is so expressive in chest, mixed, snd head voice that she rarely needs to belt. In fact she frequently drops to her powerful lower register to convey her emotion.

From her audition on Norway’s Got Talent (2014 - age 7 - Gloomy Sunday "Billy Holiday") through the final on America’s Got Talent The Champions (2020 - age 13 - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road "Sir Elton John") and the 130+ videos in between you will not be disappointed. This includes three originals song: “What Is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” Since then she has done many new covers and now her new singles "Million Miles" and “7th Heaven”, along with her movie soundtrack "Mercy" from the motion picture “The Hating Game”. As well as this brilliant version of Elvis’s “Suspicious Mind”. She released her latest album “Old Enough” and it is definitely some of her best stuff. My personal favorite is her cover of Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die". Although the soundtrack is really growing on me.

This is my first time here because I follow Angelina almost exclusively. I subscribed hoping you will do more Angelina in the future. She is an absolutely amazing singer and human being as well. She has been singing since she was 18 months old and a world sensation since she was 7 years old, when she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. Her roots are in jazz and blues and you can hear it whenever she sings. There are about 200 some videos on CZcams of her for you to watch. Hope you're insterested enough to come back to her. Peace.

Oh, don't you worry, I have been. I firmly believe that her parents have done a brilliant job thus far. If my thought processes are correct, I think that she is going to go supernova when she "takes control" of the trajectory she is on. Take a moment to consider what has been accomplished thus far. I have read multiple comments that her biggest fan base is presently "older" people. In doing this, her parents have entrenched her in a very hard to crack demographic of listeners that most new artists have difficulty breaking into. Now, imagine, if you will, her gradually moving into a younger audience by unleashing that power that is so evident. By doing that, she will conquer the ENTIRE music listening world.

Check out I have nothing I have put a spell on you stay easy on me for a few more current songs are great too. She has been directing her own accompaniment since she was 4 years old. She also has written 140+ songs of her own knows at least 2 languages well and plays 4 instruments. She won Norway got talent 7 to 8 yrs old.
