It was something different for these guys too, because they certainly don't have an artist like that in the Log Cabin Recording Studio very often. You can see on their faces that they can't believe it, but when the "recording" sign lights up, the child has disappeared and you're dealing with a critical professional singer - an unusual experience for sure.

I think what this video shows you is that it won’t matter what age or what genre you choose for Angelina. She will never disappoint you. More often than not, she will surprise you or stun you. Angelina just has an innate feel for the rhythm and essence of different genres. She doesn’t flaunt her vocal skills, but gives the song what it needs. If you want to see what amazing skills she has in her vocal toolbox, however, let me suggest her cover of Adele’s “Easy On Me” that Angelina did about two years ago. Quincy invited her to sing for her his 85th birthday in the O2 arena. He compared her talent to that of Michael. Afterwards people who attended the concert said that her surprise performance (she was not on the program) was all the talk afterwards.
I think we have mentioned it before, but it's worth repeating, Angelina is just the definition of an "old soul". Outstanding version. I am quite familiar with the song myself, though I don't think I've heard June Christy's version, but there are many ,many artists that have done this song. I'm know the Frank Sinatra version.
When AJ played with one of Sinatra's (also Ella, Ray Charles, etc.) drummers (Greg Field) a couple of Christmases ago he told her (paraphrasing) "I'm not exaggerating this. You have a gift for storytelling, and the greatest singers, Buble, Ella, Sinatra, Vandross, basically were wired so whatever they said they meant. Frank famously said "I never let my singing get in the way of my storytelling"." He basically went on to tell her how impressed he is with her storytelling, and how organic and effortless it is. I recently made a mashup of Frank Sinatra and Angelina Jordan doing this song together you can search it up..Despite the generations between them, they harmonise so well together!! I chose the version she sang when she was very young only because it was the only version that lended itself to the remix with Sinatra given the song key, BPM/tempo etc (obviously I still had to make subtle changes to these but luckily nothing too drastic).
