When Tony confronts Valkyrie about her participating in the Death Race as a means to distract herself from her ongoing depression and loss, he related it to the time from Iron Man 2 where he was slowly dying of radiation poisoning and joined a dangerous race just to distract himself from his own ongoing situation.

In this Universe, Tony's Shoulder Plates didn't came off to give him extra momentum to go back to earth. That's probably why he didn't make it to earth before the portal closed.
Am I the only one who thinks that this episode has the best iron man suit transitions in the entirely of MCU till date since the first movie.

I think it's great to put Tony to participate in races, we must not forget that he was in a race in Iron Man 2 and he was a driver and collector of many cars, very good episode, the season is quite solid at the moment
The reason why Tony's helmet didn't come is probably because the grandmaster cut it off. Usually when Tony opens his helmet, only the yellow part opens up and the red parts stay as is, but when the grandmaster was handling the face mask, it had the yellow part surrounded by a bit of red indicating that the mask was forcibly cut off and not removed properly like Tony does.
You missed an important detail in the Avengers movie. After Tony passes through the wormhole and leaves the nuclear bomb, Jarvis detaches the repulsor to create a push for Tony to reach the wormhole before it closes. However, in the "What If" series, there is no detachment of the repulsor, which is why he doesn't reach home.
Really loved Tony in the episode! The moments where he felt relieved that Earth was saved after the battle of New York and pepper was safe honestly became some of my favorite Tony Stark moments ever in the entire MCU. I also missed his classic suit up instead of the nanotech he got later in the franchise so it was nice to see those incredible suit up a mechanical sequences back! I also love to Tony's philosophy in this world you have to leave a place better and then you found it because that is the mission of a true and real hero because that's what he does. He's Iorn-Man! 9/10 episode! I also loved the Mad Max racing sequences!

It is nonsense that Tony Stark can create flying parts mechanism suit. Coz he's still in Avengers 1 time, he could only invent that technology in Iron man 3 timeline (mark 42). 😐 :3
Moreover, the suit in this episode can even convert into a real powerful racing car as well.😅
I'm real Iron Man fan, but this inconsistents make me feel pissed off.
Before Endgame (throughout whole Infinity Saga), MCU has great consistency between each movies to and fro.
Hope to see Disney focus more on quality than quantity, just like the past glorious MCU (before Marvel has been bought) 😢😢
@@bhonekyawthu I mean just think of it as Tony experimenting with the tech way earlier than in the main timeline. Small details like that shouldnt hamper your enjoyment too much. And honestly a little sacrifice on consistency for a decently-written story is way better than the mess they've been shitting out for the past 2, 3 years.

This episode has been the best so far as Marvel has used its animation potential to the fullest. The action sequences were phenomenal.
in the actual avengers movie, tony just barely makes it thrrough the warm hole because jarvis detached parts of his suit to give him some extra boost, but in the what if episode, we dont see anything get detached from his suit while falling back towards the warmhole, thats why he doesnt make it
so in a nutshell, if jarvis didnt detach tonys armor plates to gain extra momentum, age of ultron wont take place since tony not there to make ultron, infinity war and endgame also canceled , since they killed thanos

Well Tony would return back to earth for sure... as we can see he was ready to fly off that planet to Pepper, just before Gamora abducted him.
So he might've still created Ultron just with some modifications I think using the tech he encountered on his little adventure to space.... and perhaps instead if going on for the Ultron gig, he'd have gone for some more space exploration bots.
Ad for Thanos, that surely ends the possibility of a infinity war & Endgame. Maybe some of his henchmen or his children may try to fulfill his dream, but the Avengers would foil it early with Gamora's help.
This episode was major Spy Kids 3 vibes, the race took a lot of inspiration from it with similar framing/vehicle design etc
I commented the same I instantly recognised the peculiar vehicles and remembered the race from spy kids movie.
4:55 Not sure if you notice but the statue connected to the road. That's basically out of its head looks almost like a Galactus the destroyer of worlds

Someone also noticed that a few sneces from the race looks very similar to the Spy Kids 3 race? The one-wheel bike that Tony rides, the tunnel they enter from the racing track and how they fall on the track is literally in that film!
You missed one detail, in the beginning of the episode, you can see Tony brought the rocket into space, after that he lost power to his suit, but if you'll notice, the some parts of his armour's shoulders were never removed so he could catch up to the portal unlike in the original timeline where the some parts of his shoulders got removed and successfully came back to earth.
1:38 perhaps its not the action in endgame but whay he did to Thanos' ship n Army... nuking it after New York battle.
And this is also how perhaps Thanos knew Tony in Infinity War during their iconic conversation, "Stark, you're not the only one cursed woj knowledge."
Hi Lad, love all the videos you made. Anyways in ep 5, there was a moment where captain carter was talking to steve and she drop the shield. The next scene she had it back to her arm. Moment after that it was on the floor again.
The reason why tony can't reach earth through the portal is in the avengers movie Jarvis released the suit shoulder part and give him an extra push but in this universe Jarvis didn't . Anyone noticed that
What I think is a detail from episode 5, "No. No. Steve would be stupid enough to do the same for me." and at the end when Carter refuses to attack Steve, Letting his friend/her love interest hurt him/her trying to wake him up verbally instead of fighting back, just like Steve did at the end of The Winter Soldier.

Anybody noticed Korg, Valkyrie and Tony actually did the slow motion walk when walking into the stadium for the race? Then Korg being HeWhoStatesTheObvious actually said it as soon as they came back to normal speed
This might be obvious but did you guys notice that the neck zapper changed position from when Tony and Gamora got zapped (He got zapped on his left side) to when they were in the room with Korg (Its on his right side)?

I noticed a possible detail in episode 3. When Happy saved the guy at the end the guy says "You saved me. Why?". The words are the exact same and the tone sounds almost the same as that one Kung Fu Panda meme where Monkey says "You saved me. Why?" Before being told "Monkey". I had to do a double take because it is such a dumb and silly reference. I didn't think they would reference memes. I'm almost wondering if it was indeed a meme reference was it snuck in by someone.
I noticed an AMAZING detail. In avengers 1, Jarvis ejects the shoulder pads when tony starts coming back to earth, giving him an extra push, but in this episode, they do not deploy, so he doesn't get that push, meaning he just doesn't make it.
The throwing glass thing you mentioned also happened in Thor the dark world, when everyone was celebrating

Iron man's suit didn't remove back thrusters to give him a push that helps him succeed in crossing the wormhole.. But in the movie "Avengers" the back thrusters gave him a push..

Another detail! When Tony talks with Valkyrie in the tavern, he comments about her "demon in a bottle". This is a reference to the 128th issue of The Invincible Iron Man, where he confronts the same problem (a lot less shown in the MCU).

A detail you may have missed. During the race, there is a vehicle that resembles a droid from star wars attack of the clones showing the artists love for star wars
There was another NASCAR reference/joke when the Grandmaster said 'Race cars are similar, but very different' as all cars in NASCAR are basically the same

I more detail is that in the beginning after firing the nuke at the chituari ship in the original Avengers movie we could see iron man suit remove few parts from the shoulders in order to loose weight and reach the portal faster ... But in the what if episode ... Nothing from the armour is released... That's the reason why Tony stark in this universe got stuck

the grandmaster isnt refering to endgame, he specifically uses the picture of iron man with the rocket from new york, thats why its surprising they know who he is because that only just happened but because time works differently its already been a few days since that happened

Time 2:30 - when hela's crown crashes, visual comes 1st the explosion and sound comes 2nd, (The speed of light as it travels through air and space is much faster than that of sound; )

Peter's ship lands exactly at the block where the final fight of Avengers 1 was fought...
when tony says" almost there pepper " before gamora appears behind him the ship there're in makes the same sound as the time travel machine in avengers endgame
I feel the scene where Gamora and Tony are in a room to “hook up” as a joke was a reference to when they hooked up in the comics.
In Thor Ragnarok, I remember there was a building that had the face of each champion and that elephant-like face was one of them.
I have found a mistake in this episode. When Grandmaster threw a zap machine (I don't know the real name, lol) on Tony it was on his left neck and when Tony removed it using his arc reactor it was on his right side. Apart from this small thing this episode was a lit 🔥

I believe they took inspiration from “spy kid” movie in which they race in the similar manner.
Nice video, but one thing is incorrect, tony stark is known to Grandmaster due to he defeated thanos in newyork battle and not in endgame. Engame has not happened yet. He even shows picture of ironman carrying nuke. Later in episode it is diacussed again by gamora. And in this timeline endgame might happen differently.
You didn’t find that many details in episodes 2 and 3? What about them saying T’Chaka’s father helped in the war, likely a reference to that exactly happening in the comics. Or Happy’s Freak design very obviously being based on the Incredible Bulk?
Those are good details don't get me wrong, but the title 0.25x speed just doesn't fit for those details. I could catch them even in regular speed. For example, majority of the details in this video, it would require a 2nd watch or slow-mo watch to catch these details. Episode 2 and 3 aren't like that.
I can't believe no one else has brought thus up so I guess i have to. When topaz puts Tony and gamora in a together she says the grandmaster sensed something between them this is a reference to the comics where Tony and gamora hooked up
Is the reason why ironman didn't fall through the portal when he nuked chitauri is because there was no extra force given to him by the ejection of the suit as compared to avengers 1, when the suit ejected itself partially near tony's shoulder in order to give tony a push, you can clearly see the suit giving tony extra force to reach the portal when he was in space in avengers 1
in episode 4 tony takes off his zappy thing by using the magnet in the arkreakter

In the New Episode of What if... Season 2 "What if Hela Found the Ten Rings",
Odin came to Earth to take The Ten Rings to Asgard to keep them Safe, In the Main MCU also he also brought Powerful Weapons to Asgard like 'The Casket of Ancient Winters' etc.
In this Universe Odin is Portrayed as Slightly Evil but in the main mcu also he was evil.... He Truely Choose Peace not after imprisoning Hela.. But after Adopting Loki. After which he choose the path of True Peace. (If you Watch Thor Ragnarock, this is Cleverly imprinted in the dialogues of the "Play" and also when Hela Talked about Odin.)
Just so everyone knows the reason Tony is so good at racing is because in iron man two we see him racing telling us that he already has some experience racing
for episode 5, Bucky Barnes actually replaces Alexander Pierce, which was pretty cool to me ngl
When I saw that, I dreaded for a moment that Bucky would turn out to be a Hydra mole like Pearce! Glad they didn't go that route.

why marvel isn't using hulk in what if S2 i mean in the 3rd episode when avengers were fighting with purple hulked happy hogan barton asked for help from banner but he didn't transform also in 5th episode in new york battle hulk wasn't there but we know that banner exists b/c natasha offered help of either tony or banner to captain carter
Also a detail i have found that b/c supreme strange & ultron felt & interacted with the watcher in S1 that's why we don't see any watcher peeks in S2 b/c he is afraid of a "2nd ultron" except when he peeked in ep5 to captain carter & she managed to see him( i don't know how) & yelled his name at the end.
I still don't understand something:How did Tony call his suit by pieces? The Avengers happened before Ironman 3,where he developed this feature and I know he called this suit with those bracelets,but it was the entire suit.
