This video is really for the BL80X, and specifically for the 500X. Although we are told that it applies equally to the BL50X that is not entirely true. For example, it shows the additional power port and the data port on the ESC - this is only true for the BL80X, they are not on the BL50X. It also gives the approximate head speed for the 75% and 85% - this is only valid for the BL80X and specifically when fitted in the 500X. The BL50X fitted in a 450 or 470 will have much higher head speeds at 75% and 85%
Does Align have a video tutorial on how to program the Align RCE-BL 100 Amp ESC using the Asbox multifunction programmer? I’m stuck on this part of the build, and programming of my Trex 550x. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. So after setting up HELI 2 I will just set throttle curve to for example 70% streight line and go fly with governor mode keeping 70% rpm constantly? Is it that easy? I have align BL60G and it also has HELI 2 setup. But it says that gov mode is only for Idle up 1 and 2 (no Normal to be used). So i have to set throttle 70% in Idle 1?
@@bmt9998 Hi, I decided to fly with my regular throttle curve. If you want it to fly more stable. just increase rpm. I did not find a difference between governor and normal curve. it is all up to your preference.
@@rmiklosh Cheers man, thanks for replying. I turned on the Align ESC gov and it's been pretty good so far. It'll do until I set up the gov on the beast x
@@bmt9998 Hi man! I gave up on beastex gov, cause could not find a single line receiver to buy. Seems like they are not as popular anymore. That is what u need for governor to work on beastx. Well, good luck and write back how it went. I know from opinions that it warks more precice then those gov on ESC. The only draw back is it is going to eat your bettery faster because it needs power to sustain rps constantly.
@@bmt9998 I also think that ESC governor works well, but I stuck with throttle curve because i fine tuned it to how i need the motor to work in various situations. Also, good blades (expensive) really pay for themselves compairing to cheap ones - night and day difference. Seems like the "stick" like a glue to the air comparing to cheap ones and also you don t need to balance them (work right off the box)).

Do I need to reverse the throttle channel on Futaba radios?
My 500x has the rce-80a and i cant program it like this
Anybody know how to program the rce-80a without the AS program box?
