    Hi Tmac i have been going insane for weeks!!! CLI wouldn't work to set throttle to 1000 everything else worked fine I used extended limit's it goes to 150 , now i cant get throttle to 2000 even at max .I am a newbie ,this drone was going to fly with or without a controller hehe. finally i must have typed in the correct words in CZcams or online ,cant remember but i finally found you with everything i needed, Verry informative i thank you for taking time to help people lie me that dont seem to read manual's (i usually do but just cant find it in my mess) God bless and thank you for stopping me from going insane i hope i can arm it now and not smash it into a wall or myself lol. took me long enough to get the drone to stay connected to the controller long story that one (no one buy a tiny bee made by bee rotor emu and beta flight do not let it connect as its to old). i hope they dont expire me to soon hehe. i will be watching as many o your videos as possible (subbed as well0 much love from sth aussie outback. ox

    At 100 my range on all my throws is 1159 to 1840. I put it to the max at -150 and +150 and still only reaching 1074 and 1925 as my range. not enough for the quad to arm. When I click channel monitor on my tx its showing a range of 988 to 2012. Any suggestions on how i can fix this?

  • @marckart66

    I just purchased a tx16s. Bog standard, brand new. I bound it to my quadcopter but my range in betaflight receiver is 1184 to 1850 on all channels. rxrange in cli doesn't modify anything. All my channels in the model setting are set to 100. My midpoint in the receiver tab is dead on 1500. Really struggling with this. I can't go past 100 in the output menu.

    Thanks for the great video. I was hoping this method would help me. After arming, I raise my throttle stick to full, and the motors are at full. But when I lower my throttle stick, the motors remain at full power, and my throttle stick no longer effects the motors.

    • @TMacFPV
      @TMacFPV  Před 2 lety

      If you're doing this with props off that's normal. The flight controller is expecting your quadcopter to be flying when you raise your throttle. When it doesn't (with props off), it continues to increase throttle to make it fly. If that's what's happening, try putting props on, take it outside, and gently raise throttle

    So glad I found your channel, and as it happens you make exact video I wanted to ask about. I have Radiomaster TX16S and I also can't set max endpoints to 2000. Is it a bug in Radiomaster ?

    • @TMacFPV
      @TMacFPV  Před 3 lety

      No, it's not a flaw with the transmitter. You should calibrate the channel endpoints with every quadcopter as it's the receiver speaking to the flight controller. This can be different on each quadcopter. If you perform the steps in the video, you should be able to get max endpoints to 2000. We're you not able to do this with steps in video? Even using extended limits as explained in video?

      @@TMacFPV I have done this before. But on TX16S it jumps from 1999 to 2001. It is just odd that this happens same as in your video. It looks like a bug. Maybe it is betaflight bug or maybe radiomaster, but looks like a bug. 9:45

    • @TMacFPV
      @TMacFPV  Před 3 lety

      @@noobFPV oh, now I understand what you're saying. That 1 microsecond off shouldn't make much of a difference, but yes, I was not expecting 5hat either. If you really want to get it to 2000 exactly, use the rxrange CLI command I mentioned at about the 6:23 time mark. For example go-to CLi and type rxrange 0 1000 1999 (where the first 0 is for the 1st channel, in my video it's for roll). If you're getting 1999 on second channel (such as pitch), type
      rxrange 1 1000 1999, for 3rd channel type rxrange 2 1000 1999, and so on ( for whatever channel you want to change 1999 to 2000). After you type this into CLI, hit return. Then type Save into CLI and return. Go back to Receiver Tab and max output should now be at 2000

    • @TMacFPV
      @TMacFPV  Před 3 lety

      Its a "chain of events" type thing. Transmitter talks to receiver, receiver talks to flight controller. Every configuration is different. Different receivers, different flight controllers, etc.

    @henshaw7 Před 3 lety

    Josh Bardwell has a much easier way to do this within Betaflight 's CL. but thanks for another view on it.

    • @TMacFPV
      @TMacFPV  Před 3 lety +2

      Thank you for watching - as I mention at the 6:23 time mark of this video, yes, there are a couple ways of doing this. However, if you use the "rxrange method" (mentioned in this video) in the CLI that will change your min and max endpoints but you still may need to change your PPM center which means going back to the Outputs Page and using the subtrim column (which is the same page you'd be on anyway if you use the method I'm demonstrating in this video). Usually, there are more ways than one to do things with Betaflight, OpenTX, etc.

    • @TMacFPV
      @TMacFPV  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey lucada32, congratulations! I'm excited for you. I am VERY happy you asked me that question before you started to do anything. First of all, your TX16S will work absolutely fine without you doing anything to it like upgrading firmware. Please, do not attempt to update any firmware on it at this time. In fact, most people make the mistake of attempting to update firmware on their new transmitters without fully understanding how to accomplish it and end up with a transmitter that doesn't work and then having to go through the frustrations of trying to get it fixed over the internet or social media. Having said that, yes there are things you should do with it and I do have videos that will help you. Specifically, I have a Playlist of videos on the RadioMaster TX16S here you can reference. czcams.com/play/PLKAiYAaTdvmrEDFS4el4MjDOrY_Et2QnG.html The first video in the Playlist is how to set it up (calibration, etc. and uses the User Manual for it). It also goes through some customizations. The second video is on backing everything up before you do anything else. i would recommend those two videos initially. Then, I would recommend you watch the first two videos (at least) of this Playlist on OpenTX. czcams.com/play/PLKAiYAaTdvmqxtSKfP-2_QQlS_fd6h2YU.html The first video is on OpenTX Basics as an introduction/overview so you won't get completely overwhelmed with what you're about to experience. The second video (although using a Jumper T16 transmitter) explains the types of firmware you have on your RadioMaster TX16s (yes, there is more than one). Both the RadioMaster TX16S and the Jumper T16 use OpenTX operating system firmware AND have a multi-protocol module (MPM) that has its own firmware. The video I'm speaking of explains this better than my comment here. Lastly, if you're new to FPV and/or drones in general, I'd encourage you to take a look at the course curriculum for the Fast Track FPV Course here tmacfpv.thinkific.com/courses/fast-track-fpv . You may also find "some" useful info by browsing through the pages of my site at tmacfpv.com/ . Hope this helps. Should get you started in the right direction! Once again, congrats on your new TX16S!
