Thanks man, that’s been the best part for me. Great pickup and beyond lucky to be making memories with it. Thanks for watching, subscribe if you haven’t already.
i have a 97 ford ranger xlt extended cab its 5sp 2.3l 4cylinder ive had it since i graduated high school 18 years ago it was my first vehicle and what i took my driving test in. 370,000 miles and its still chugging along. its not that fast but dependable and anything ever hardly goes wrong with it. i honestly never though i have it this long after i got my good job
Theres definitely something special about the Ranger's. Im blessed with much more expensive vehicle's but my 07 bought last year really makes me happy. Ive completely restored it and its just like new.
I have owned two Ford Rangers and love them. My current 2009 Sport 4x4 has 250,000 km and still runs great. Ford trucks have strong engines that will last as many years as you need, if taken care of. I recommend Lucas oil additive; reduces engine wear and and quiets engine noise.
I have an 08 ranger. I took out the vinyl armrest and just shived a little Titan cooler as an armrest with storage. Also put in a dorman heated seater under the vinyl seat. I love the truck! Great video!
Great video, bud. Love my ‘99 XLT. Rebuilt AT, all new suspension front and rear, all new brakes and lines. New exhaust with a growling muffler. Rear frame repair. Can’t wait to tear into the interior and do sound deadening too.
Just replaced everything with the suspension on my 2011 Ranger with 2.3 motor. New brakes, rotors, shocks, tranny and coolant flush, ball joints, and Penzoil Ultra synthetic oil change. Truck is like new inside and out. Has 80,000 miles and I'm keeping it another 7-8 years. Incredible truck!
Yep they are amazing trucks. I’m replacing my radiator here soon, going to just do the lines and thermostat as well. They built them not far from where I grew up in Minnesota, proud to own one.
I have a 1990 Ford Ranger XLT Standard Cab....4 cylinder 2.3L 2xW Drive Automatic Trans......LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!!!! I'm the 3rd owner of this truck and when I bought this truck the engine had 115.000 miles 16 years later I had the engine rebuilt in 2016 a d at that time it had 227.000 miles. Now here recently I had a new suspension put in under bed area....(new shocks...new leaf springs....etc. I also had the transmission rebuilt.....this was the original transmission with about 500.000 original miles!!!! I'm in the process of going to have body work done and doing some front end work to prepare with new parts that need it!.....Pretty much a restoration. LOVE THIS TRUCK!
I have an 87 Ranger XLT long box with the 2.3 and a 4-speed overdrive transmission and I love my little truck. It is not the fastest vehicle, but it has been the most useful thing I have ever owned. It has been in my family since new and was set up as my folk's tow vehicle and hardly ever got driven (has 63,000 miles on it now). I have people asking me every so often if it is for sale and I just say no, cause what would I replace it with? It is just too handy and a part of the family.
as soon as this guy said "Jack shit" and "punk rock" I had to subscribe instantly, great review! I'm looking at a 92' ranger, just something fun to cruise around in.
Good to see you back! Have you thought about doing any other upgrades like an LED lights, upgraded radio, door speakers, different style mirrors, chrome grille & bumpers, etc?
Oh, man. It's really nice car. I've been owning one since 2019. It's quite hard to keep it ok'ish here in Russia, but I don't care :) Tomorrow i'll finish (hopefully) my tranny's repair. No one wanted to fix it, so I decieded to do it myself :)
So you replaced nearly everything. I also replaced everything in my 2000 Ford Ranger, except for the engine, some things I replaced twice, like the radiator. I estimate that I've invested around $15k into it, just to keep it on the road, so nothing fancy added to it. I've been putting non-ethenol fuel in it since the shtuff was being offered for sale here, around 2005. So I imagine that the engine is super clean, or at least whatever the fuel touches is super clean. During oil changes I always forget what kind of oil to add, so I tell the mechanic to add either synthetic or the real shtuff. Not to shabby cause I bought it from a friend and I only paid him $3,500 for this truck, which I made payments on for under one year, paid off, no interest.
Looks like Ford Rangers can do anything. They even bring families closer together!
Absolutely mate!
Got to agree me and my daughter both have one 2001 and a 1999
if there taken care of from the begining, they'll basically run forever, reliably. with proper maintenence.
Yep, I’ll be keeping it for the rest of my days
That's an awesome story with your daughter! I just got my first Ranger and every one is telling me how they love it! They just are awesome 😋

Heck yeah man! They are a special vehicle that doesn’t come around often.

Bet that’s a nice rig. Great pickups!!
I just bought an 83 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3l 4cyl automatic duel tank with 85 000 miles on it. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!
All original and in mint condition aside from the dashboard pad crack.

Great little truck.I have 1999 with 211189 miles and still running fine.
Best small pickup ever made imo.
I have an 08 ranger. I took out the vinyl armrest and just shived a little Titan cooler as an armrest with storage. Also put in a dorman heated seater under the vinyl seat. I love the truck! Great video!
I’ll check out those coolers. Do you have the 2.3L in your 08? Thanks for watching & commenting!
I do have the 2.3L manual as well. I was very lucky to pick one up in very good conditon.

Just got a b2300 super clean 04. such a lost art with these 5 speeds
I have 2 Rangers, a 94 manual 5 speed and a 09 automatic 5 speed, both 2.3 L... great trucks!
The best mate!

I have a b2300 ,2.3 liter and love it just the same. planning on keeping it around for a long time.
🙏Love Your channel Brother!! Keeping coming, Ps what size Tires do you have on your Ford? 🤔
This looks exactly like the same 2002 one I have! I love it, just bought it a week ago. Have to fix a squeaking on the driver side.
I put Monroe shocks on my 2011 Ranger and they work just fine. I think Ford used the same ones, but branded them with the Ford logo.
Had a 93 ranger so I got a 97 after 93 was totalled. So reliable
Totally agree! I don’t think I could kill mine off if I tried

What's your gas mileage
@@BudgetBoysGarage About 20 city and 24 highway....on the average.👉👍😃
What wheels and tires you running? Stock ride height or lift?
I have a 2008 ford ranger auto xlt. Are they any good??

That’s amazing and you’re right about not being able to replace it. Low mileage Rangers like that pull some good money but I’d never let it go.
as soon as this guy said "Jack shit" and "punk rock" I had to subscribe instantly, great review! I'm looking at a 92' ranger, just something fun to cruise around in.
I bought my brand new in 99 and now 25 years later and never 200,000 miles it still runs like a brand new truck
Good to see you back! Have you thought about doing any other upgrades like an LED lights, upgraded radio, door speakers, different style mirrors, chrome grille & bumpers, etc?
Nah, the upgrades I’m doing are going to be all mechanical. Probably do a new rear end, drive shaft, suspension etc..
I like those trucks
Amazing pickups

Thanks, I have quite a few fans from Russia. I would love to visit there one day and do some car reviews.
@@revnation_auto wish you all the best in this plan!
Does that have the 2.3 4 cylinder engine? Probably going to replace all my front end parts as well!
Yes it’s the 2.3L, the best engine by far imo
@@revnation_autoIs the 2.3 still the best engine in the later years of the 3rd Gen? Like 2007-2011ish (speaking of automatic)
I just got my 2000 ranger 😛
They are fn great
I wanna fully restore my 04 if possible and just run out the 3.0 and swap it lol.
I have a 4x4 97 ranger with a 4.0l motor and automatic transmission and I love it but I kinda wish it was a manual
How many miles on your Ranger? I have 211327 in my 99..Still running strong.
164k, still has tons of life left!
Just got me a 98 with new motor step side 4 2k
Manual
How hard was it do to the shocks
Rear are super easy but I actually had the front installed professionally, I wasn’t there when they did it.

Your wife is a lucky woman.
97 Ford ranger 330k miles Og block with a junk yard head
Man I just bought an 08 ranger 2.3 16 valve 5 speed with a Leer camper shell one owner.mint condition. I'm as happy as a pig wallowing in shit.
Because the old ford rangers and full size trucks are actual trucks ment to do work and not drive around a city to never even see a trailer
Give your daughter the ranger in a few years
Looks nice! What’s the size of those tires?
