Want to learn how to trim a mustache? It's not that hard really. It's takes the right tools, knowledge, and confidence. In this how to tutorial video I'll show you a few aspects of how to trim a mustache. Not only will I trim my mustache but give you some guidelines and rules to follow to insure your success.
As in my other beard and mustache videos you know how important it is to use good tools. In this video I show the stainless steel mustache scissors that I love. It's always important to use good tools to get the job done right the first time.
Included in this video is establishing your mustache, your mustache part, and how to clean up the body of your mustache as well as cutting and trimming your mustache ends and tips. - Jak na to + styl
I was gonna trim my stache....then I saw your stache..and I put the scissors down. ...and walked away.

:((((
Thank you for making this video! I have been growing mine out for a while and it's getting pretty epic. I've only lightly trimmed it in the past and it needs another trim because it is looking crazy.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.
hey Baron,
Just wanted to let you know this tutorial helped me so much. Ive been growing my beard and epic stache for about 8 months. Ive trimmed my beard many times, but have barely touch my stache. The paper tricked helped a ton!! Before this I've only snipped random hairs and had troubles distinguishing them from my beard. Now my stache is looking on point!
Thanks again,
Andy
Great advice....I will definitely keep your tips in mind when trimming my mustache.
Looking better now with the epic beard and mustache!
Thanks for this video Baron. I am very hesitant to trim anything on my stash but after 7 months I had some hairs doing some crazy things. It was great to see how a boss does it the right way.
i love how serious the intro is this is gold!! :D
Just found your channel and used the tips from this video to trim my mustache (which has been very difficult for me) and the tips worked great. Thank you Beard Baron 🤘
glad I watched this. I have a pretty good beard but keep my mustache short to access my food hole better but lately after seeing your videos and a few others I've been wanting to grow it out. thanks again for the video and now you have a new subscriber.
James Dormady Thanks for watching and subscribing James!
I want to thank you so very much! I have had my beard since I was 17 years old, and I am 52 now. In all that time I had always tried again and again to grow out my beard past the very neat and closely trimmed style. I wanted the look of a Civil War era man, but my beard would rebel and look funny to me. It would get a bit longer and curl, or look uneven to me and I would relent and go back to the neat trimmed style. I am now on my 2nd month of growth, and now I am using beard oli, beard balm, and stache wax. My beard is growing out and because of your videos it is a success. I finally learned how to use products that were good for my skin and beard, and kept the longer hairs looking neater. I still have some bad beard days, but I tell myself to wait them out, and I always look better soon. Thank you for your videos!
Thanks for the advice on symmetry. I was driving myself crazy about it.
Your beard wash is spot on too. Cheers for the assistance Johnny.
I'm so glad I decided to watch this. I was just about to shave it all off. I have a couple months growth now. I'm gonna keep it growing! Thanks! Great vid.
This the only long-mustache tutorial I found online.. I tried it myself.. Came out great !
Really loving this series so far, thanks for the knowledge!
Tyler Hackett Thanks for watching Tyler!
Top class advice my friend, really feel encouraged by your help. Thanks
Excellent, subtle advice. Thanks bro 🤙🏻
Looking to trim my mustache and this video really helped, I'm definitely subscribing and picking up some mustache wax. You've helped correct a lot of bad trimming habits. The white paper trick helped a lot too.
That was SO informative! You are a great inspiration.
It's also nice the you don't upload tons of videos on your channel, just for the sake of it.
Your passion for facial hair washes joy over me. Thanks for doing this.
James Ayers Glad you liked it James, thanks for watching!
Hah! Solingen is like the next closest city to where I live. Feels good to hear that people appreciate the german craftsmanship of our blades. They are quality though!
I use a Merkur safety razor that was made there. My car however is from Munich lol
Thank you so much for this. I have a 7 month beard now and its looking great because of your awesome advice! CHEERS
All the best Gabriel!
it took about 6 months for me to need this video from the last bad trim. good advice man thanks for the video
Glad it worked out for you Aaron!
Thanks man! This is the first video on CZcams that explains this properly.
You're welcome James! Thanks for watching!
love the videos! keep up the great work. I'm in the process of letting my beard grow out for the first time. for the past 2 years I've just kept a shot close beard but I'm ready to let this thing rock. just ordered some oil wax and combs. can't wait to see how it grows!
Welcome to the club Samuel! You're going to love the oil, wax, and combs!
The video I've been waiting for!! Thank you! Great information that will definitely help me!
You're welcome Jason!
Another great video with useful hands on information for fellow BEARD Brothers. You're a true BEARD ambassador and I want to thank you, kind Sir. Thanks Beard Baron, keep up the good work!
You're welcome Giovanni! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tip man! It's looking better then before!
thanks man! You hit all the points im having issues with. Another problem i have is that i live in South East Asia where barbers dont do beards, where shops dont carry beard caring products, and where often things ordered online from outside of the country do not get delivered at my house.
I decided to start my beard from scratch about two and a half weeks ago, (chin puff with a mustache) and these videos actually are really damn helpful, especially since my mustache grows asymmetrically from one side to the other. You perform a valuable public service sir!
warpedwiselegoman Glad I could help!
Excellent video the paper trick is awesome
I want to thank you for this amazing channel. Your videos are high quality and really, really interesting.
Before I started watching it, I had a rather short, full beard. Actually I didn't even care about it, I just had it. Than, I saw one of your videos and thought: wow, this guy is cool! The way you approach having a beard made me think about growing a larger beard, but with a classy look. I started using oil and wax to tame that wild hairs and it worked great.
So about 2 months ago I started growing my beard out, and it already is quiet large, but still looks really nice. While growing out the beard, I'm also growing out the mustache. This was pretty hard at the beginning was rather strange because of the hair getting into my mouth, but now as it grows longer I'm getting more used to it.
Thanks again for the great channel, keep doing this great job!
can u make a video on how to eat and how to kiss ?

With straw.. n avoid losing get the main thing done🤣

Did u ever figure it out??

Great video!
I'm in my fourth Month of growing a beard and you're the one that gave me the confidence to go for it. I keep my stache pretty short but I took a bit too much off. Litterally five mins later, I saw this video.
Beard on!
Glad I could help boost some confidence for your beard!
Awesome tips BB
Greetings from Germany Baron! I love your work here. Unfortunetly I have a very patchy beard, and my job doesn't allow to grow myself a beard. It entertains me very much to watch your tutorials!
***** Thanks for watching!
I'm only 16, so I can't grow a beard yet :( but I'm watching all your videos, so when the time comes for me to grow a moustache, I'll be ready :)

I had to wait until I was 23/24 bro..
A great tutorial!
I´ve heard that many people prefer to train the hair to grow on the sides and not to trim. Of course it depends on what you´re looking for.
Thank you! Great Vid with awesome insights.
Really helpful.
Thank you so much for the video. Lots of great information and tips from experience. Will be definitely be buying the scissors in a month or so.
Someone said I looked like a lumberjack today, I'll take that as a compliment thank you haha.
Keep up the great work.
wow! thank you so much! the paper trick is what I'm going to try. i was so scared to just "freestyle" it, but that paper trick looks awesome. it was the "body" of the mustache i contacted you about months ago. thank you for making this.
You're welcome my friend! Best of luck trimming!
Another helpful video... Thanks Baron!
That is extremely helpful! Thanks a lot Baron!
dank brew You're welcome!
Great video thank you so much. It really is a pleasure learning knowledgeable person who loves sharing their experience. Great tips, easy to follow - just beardly briliant!
Great tutorial. I really like the paper trick to see what you're dealing with.
Thanks! Sounds sound. I'm gonna look up your scissors.

Great advice! Thank you so much!
Great advice! When in doubt, grow it out.
Holy hell! That is the most informative and brilliant video on mustaches I've ever seen! Wonderful tips! I've made a ton of those mistakes and managed to turn out ok. This is gonna take my game to the next level! Thank you
Thank you so much Patrick! I'm glad this video was extremely helpful to you! :)
Thanks! I haven't seen any other trimming videos that explain how to clip the ends without blunting them. Not one.
Looks like I am now ready to trim my mustache! Thank you for the great video!
brady anderson Best of luck with your trim Brady. Just take it slow and you'll do just fine!
Thanks man!
That's the most epic facial hair I ever saw!
Keep up the good work man!
crypticns Thank you!
Or something
Awesome tips
Cheers for this man, also love the beard!
wow man some pro stuff right there!
Great guide as always ^^
Just bought some mustache wax from you to tame my stache a bit more, one side seems to curl naturally better than the other side, 1 side curls and 1 side naturally stays down. Cause of that I'm always messing with my stache and making sure it looks somewhat symmetrical, the last wax i had i did not like at all so going to give this one a shot, it seems very good and sturdy.
Good advice, thanks for sharing! I've always had a penchant for hair trimming, but beards are an entirely different ballgame. One thing which makes giving advice so hard is that everyone's beard is slightly different.
My a beard's six months old now, and my mustache curls inward so aggressively that it's constantly getting in my mouth. Even at 2" long, it just wasn't taking the turn outwards. So after a two week deliberation, I just trimmed it with the help of your video. That paper trick is an excellent idea, and I used it to great effect. My next decision to make is whether to cut a beard line to get rid of the cheek scruff, but I digress. Thanks again for the tips! 👍
great videos as always....I ordered one of your t shirts and cant wait to get it and represent the beard baron in Oklahoma. Keep the great videos comin...thanks
prosjeffrey I appreciate it Jeffrey! All the best!
I think you saved my stache. Thank you Beard Baron.
I'm fairly new to growing a beard and stache. your videos are awesome! keep up the good work
Mike Ward Jr All the best Mike!
The Beard Baron I made an order yesterday from you. It shipped today. I got all three combs. Some wild wood wax and beard oil. I'm excited to get it.
I've been using a cheap .99 cent comb. Which I think damaged my beard a bit. But live and learn right?
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing. I also received my Waikiki oil and wax! Smells and feels great.
Glad you're enjoying them Nathan!
You are just amazing man , I have watched many videos , but this IS F*** AMAZINGGGG WOW
No real beard here, but my 'stache grows like bamboo in a rainforest, this really helped a lot!
I'm digging that paper trick! useful info thanks for spreading it. subbed liked
superb video. Thank you
You're welcome Paul!
Sounds like a boss right there.
First off let me say I've been growing my beard for two months. I was trimming the stash every week but decided to just let everything just grow out. I'm a disabled veteran and I decided for now to let it grow till it reaches the floor.
Beard Baron, I'd just like to thank you for making these videos. Since subscribing to your channel, I have bought myself a Kent comb and I now know how to trim my beard and stache properly. I always used to cut way too much off and pretty much screwed up everything. Now I know: Just crumbs.
That really is the trick, just crumbs!
thanks mate
Thanks Much this really helped.
Thank you I especially liked the part about walking away when things get a little bit tense. I can't tell you how many times I ended up shaving it all off out of frustration. I also believe it is important to know how to do this yourself. I can't tell you how many times I've been pissed off at the barber fo being a hack.
If you want something done right you do it yourself!
Such a helpful video! So much art in the moustache trimming by the The Beard Baron! Thanks again for such an awesome video!
Btw, the brown hairs in your moustache make it even more epic! And as I also found out, beard oil make them shine and stand out!!!
Glad you liked Nikolas!
"Epic" is exactly the word that came to mind, Sir.
Beautifully said man. You steered me away from trimming my beautiful mustache.
Amazing video! Thanks alot!
William Håkansson Thanks for watching William!
I have lots my stache just like that be patient! great tips thanks!
Matthew Long Patience is always the key, easier said than done!
wow, that Thing is EPIC!
You gave me two great pieces of advice. First, I was twisting the ends of my mustache and cutting them because I saw some guy swear by that technique. Second, "when in doubt about cutting your mustache, let it grow out." Just a couple of days ago I made that choice on my own. However, hearing it from a pro made me realize I made the right decision. thanks for saving me a lot grief.
Hi Garrett, thank you for watching! I'm so glad I was able to help! :)
u really r a master of mustache it was very helpful thanks 👍
+Prince70065 Glad I could help!

+Gaming AV (FightFlake) i love Pink Sheep
that moustache Is epic beard baron I hope that one day I can grow facial hair like you all the best to you.
Been growing out my first long beard and mustache. The 'stache has been the most confusing part by far. Your vids have restored my confidence in a couple of cases when I might have done something drastic. "Sneak up on it," and, "When in doubt, grow it out."
Bobby Uttcrumbs Glad I could help Bobby! Best of luck with your 'stache!
I like the color in your mustache
Respect!
Thankyou!!
You're welcome Maarten!
Ha! Epic win! I live in Germany and my father was a barber. There are scissors like this lying around in my house.
Good video it gave me the the confidence to finally shave mustache off and just keep the 6 month Beard
Bro man to man you are the essence of what it means to be a man 👍
BB- Your advice on patience and "crumbs" have really helped me to gain confidence. My biggest challenge has been straight mustache hair and a curly ringlet beard. Any tips on taming a curly beard?
David Greene If the beard is very curly it's best to embrace it and to allow it to grow out and then shape it accordingly to whatever style your prefer. Sometimes the added length will add enough weight to "relax" the curls just a bit. Beard oil helps as well.
Really helpful video, thanx a lot ! Im always fuck up my mustache and I hate that :) 👍
it's strangely relaxing to hear a man talk about his mustache for so long.
Hey BeardBaron, I just bought a few awesome things from your website and I was just wondering what the typical delivery time frame is like. Can't wait to get my hands on a new mustache comb!
MooseHeadFeed Thank you for your order! In the USA it usually takes under a week once it ships.
