So we're coming on 20,000 subfuries (oh. my. goodness - Mishka will be pleased). Do you guys have any ideas on what YOU want me to do for it? There will be a giveaway, I can tell you that! Stay nerdy. ~ Tim
A group of Dragons can be called differently depending on the situation. When they are in the air, it is most likely a *flock*. In the episode "Edge of Disaster 1 and 2" Hiccup, Snotlout and Johann state that it's a wild *pack* of Dragons. But, we heard in another episode that they spotted a large *herd* of Nadders migrating. Also, when they first encounter Night Terrors, they call them a *swarm* of small Dragons. So it depends on the species and situation these Dragons are - flying or on the ground. Also! For your 20k special (which I'll be expecting by tomorrow), you could do a "world collide" type of thing - like maybe how the Avatar the Last Airbender universe and HTTYD universe collide together and are actually the same universe. It's just an idea, but I still think it would be cool.
Eh, not possible for the universes to be connected. Considering Avatar takes place in the China area, and HTTYD takes place in the middle of a giant cove between Norway/Scotland/Ireland (Etc. That area.)
Hey don't be ashamed to admit you were wrong, some times a lot of us won't admit we were wrong so yeah I appreciate that because I don't admit when I'm wrong to my parents and aunts/uncles.
A murder of dragons. After all, they are flying creatures that people dislike. Some types of birds when in a group are called murders, crows for example. Since most people dislike dragons, in some way, calling a group of them a murder of dragons would show your dislike of them.
Everyone I've seen in how to train your dragon, besides berk, valka, trader johaan, and the defenders of the wing have some problem with dragons. Perhaps I should clarify my earlier statement; people in httyd's world have a tendency to dislike dragons in one way or another.
GOOD THEORY IDEA!! in how to train your dragon the first movie there were zipple backs everywhere and you can occasionaly see then in gift of the night fury and riders and defenders of berk BUT in the netflix series and how to train your dragon 2 WHERE ARE THE WILD ROAMING ZIPPLEBACKS!!!!!!!!!!
BirdGaming BG I know you wrote this a few months ago, but I just wanted to provide a possible explanation. In HTTYD, Gift of the Night Fury, Riders, and Defenders, the events happen either on or close to Berk. However, in Race to the Edge and HTTYD2, the events of the stories are set in lands quite far from Berk. It's possible Zipplebacks are more prevalent in and around Berk, perhaps even indigenous to the immediate surrounding area; if this is so, then it wouldn't be so unusual not to see them so far away from their normal dwelling :)
So I was a little confused when it seemed that hook fang..had babies? Even tho he’s male it seemed he had his own babies and I was wondering if you could find anything out about that
Hive/swarm: massive collection of multiple breeds (often in thousands)Colony: large group of dragons of varying breeds (rarely in thousands)Flock: large group of many breeds (rarely in hundreds) Herd: big group of two or three closely related breeds (not in hundreds)Pack: tight family unit of one breed (not in hundreds)
im happy for you, glad all your hard work on the channel has paid off and now you are so close to 20k subfurys. i just wanted to say every time i see mishka on screen i cant control my body and i instinctively bow to him so it isnt just you! ALL HAIL MISHKA!
In the Eragon dragon books by Christopher paolini, groups of dragons are called Thunders because the sound of their massive wings flapping sound like thunder from a distance. I think a Thunder of dragons sounds really cool
I like the idea from the inheritance cycle where a group of dragons are called a thunder of dragons. Explained to be called so due to the thundering of their wings as they fly in groups. Sounds pretty cool and ferocious too.
I did a bit of research and the most popular one is a thunder of dragons, but i've heard in the episodes that dragons are referred to as a pack if they're threatening or dangerous, and a herd if they're more docile. Then, large mixed groups are called colonies, nests or hives.
I'm trying to make my own sharp class dragon called the red reaper, it shoots green fire, it has two tails and has a claw machine type thing at the end of its tails with a spike in the middle and the claws on the tail can rotate and destroy things like metal and stone, it also shoots spines out of its tail and when it's frightened it has spines on its body and they can spring up
I have actually changed my idea it still has two tail but no spines it is now black and purple and it can spray purple gas out of its body, tail and mouth which can knockout, kill, and hypnotize dragons and humans, it's in a class called death class, it also has a mouth like a catastrophic quaken and has a frill around its neck, purple fire, now the black reaper, very long tongue (Saliva is poisonous) and has venom in its fangs, anyways thanks for the response!! Length: 80ft Height: 35ft Weight: 7000lbs
I think it depends on the species. Hiccup refers to a group of Nadders as a flock, and a group of Monstrous Nightmares as a herd. I usually just say a flock of dragons.
Well in race to the edge, there was an episode called “to heather or not to heather” and there was Deadly Nadder migration which they redirect away from hunter territory.
The name of a group of geese depends on what they're doing. I think that the same would apply to dragons. While in flight: a flock or blaze. While on the ground: a pack or score.
In the 4 books series called the Inheritance Cycle written by Christopher Paolini (which also are story's about dragon riders). He writes a flock of dragons are called a thunder of dragons, which is due to when a flock is together it sound like a large rumble of thunder which I think is good name for it
From what I can remember, in an episode of Race to the Edge when the Naddar migration was going on, Hiccup called a group of Naddars a pack so... A group of dragons is a pack...
Don't know if it's been said yet, but a group of dragons is actually known as a thunder of dragons. That's most likely due to their roars or if the group is large enough it would due to the sound of the flapping wings.
In the inheritance series (Eragon) a group of dragons is called a thunder, due to the sound made in flight. Different series i know, just thought it fit.
A flight of dragons, to describe migrating groups. A clan, for smaller family groups. Maybe a colony for huge groups of stationary (not migrating) dragons.
Wait why does the island they go to low key look like the caldera in the HTTYD 3 trailer....just without the hole in the middle and the water pouring it
Based on the way that the dragons looked in the red-death cave thing at the end of movie one and the way they move around the bewilderbeast, a group of dragons with an alpha is a “Writhing” and one without an alpha is a “wriggle”
Talking about "Gift of the Night Fury", I've got three questions which you may not be able to answer, but it's something to think about. Fishlegs is initially able to prevent Meatlug from migrating. When Hiccup follows Fishlegs to see what he's up to, then opens the door to the barn, Meatlug escapes, leaving her eggs behind. 1) all the dragons have already left, so there was no more social cue to follow the migration; Why would she go? 2) since she already laid her eggs, wouldn't she feel more compelled to stay and protect her eggs, keep them warm and feed her babies once they hatch? She obviously already mated, or else there wouldn't be any babies to hatch, so the migration can't be to find a mate. And considering that, when Hiccup gets to the migration location eggs are already hatching, the other dragons must have already mated as well. I don't know how it works for dragons, but chicken eggs take 21 days to hatch. And usually the larger the animal, the longer the gestation/incubation period. It's hard to determine the precise timeline, but when Stoick talks to Hiccup after Toothless takes off, Hiccup says "it's been 3 days". It isn't specified how long it was from the time the dragons took off to the time Toothless got his new tail. If one assumes the village meeting took place the very night the dragons took off, then from that you could calculate the entire story took place over the period of just one week. So: 3) How could the dragons lay their eggs and have them hatch in less than one-third the time it takes chicken eggs to hatch? On a tangent. With the television series, once Hiccup & Toothless started having issues with Alvin and then Daggar, it made no sense to me that Hiccup didn't immediately remake the tail he designed and made for Toothless in Gift of the Night Fury. Once it became apparent that Toothless's very life was often at risk by not being able to fly on his own, Hiccup should have immediately made him a new tail so he could be independent. Yet all through Riders of Berk, Defenders of Berk & HTTYD 2 Toothless remained dependent on Hiccup to fly regardless of how many times both their lives were in danger, and it was an issue that could have easily been resolved had Hiccup just made a new tail similar to the one in GOTNF.
I think the group word 'pod' belongs to the seashockers and Scauldrons as well so I'm glad this might help idk if it will help but you can find out on the How To Train Your Dragon wikipedia and I think tidal class would've migrated to maybe warmer waters like Spain or upper north somewhere that's not cold during winter??

stefan kindsvater yassssssssssss ERAGON
Eragon!!!!!
You called Hiccup Toothless by accident. Honestly, I usually refer to them as a pack, herd, clan, or flock... a group of dragons I mean.
I just laugh so many times then read coments and seen your lol
Flare FrostFire;sorry in legends dragons raid live stock so it might not be a herd or flock
A murder of dragons
Lol I'm imagining toothless riding hookfang ....I'm dying 🤣
@@camilasantos2647 I’m aware, but that is still what I called them idk what they’re actually called.
A "pack" of dragons is called a thunder
This is what I've found as well but they can be called anything you want to
good idea
is thisa reference to the inheritince cycle?
cuz i love those books
how do you know this?
its from the inheritence cycle
A group of Dragons can be called differently depending on the situation.

Apoa's Demon huh, from what I’ve heard it’s always been called a *thunder* of dragons
Eh, not possible for the universes to be connected. Considering Avatar takes place in the China area, and HTTYD takes place in the middle of a giant cove between Norway/Scotland/Ireland (Etc. That area.)
Honestly I never noticed how I called flying dragons flocks and walking dragons packs until just now...thank you!
So much fact
A large group of dragons are called a "Thunder". Mainly because of how loud the sound of thousands of giant beating wings is.
4:16 did you mean Hiccup? Instead of Toothless
PROPER NOOB perti mich
...yes.
~ Tim
PROPER NOOB lol I noticed that two
Hey don't be ashamed to admit you were wrong, some times a lot of us won't admit we were wrong so yeah I appreciate that because I don't admit when I'm wrong to my parents and aunts/uncles.
i noticed that and was very confused
A murder of dragons. After all, they are flying creatures that people dislike. Some types of birds when in a group are called murders, crows for example. Since most people dislike dragons, in some way, calling a group of them a murder of dragons would show your dislike of them.
I never dislike dragons.
NO ONE dislikes dragons... ESPECIALLY Toothless.
Everyone I've seen in how to train your dragon, besides berk, valka, trader johaan, and the defenders of the wing have some problem with dragons. Perhaps I should clarify my earlier statement; people in httyd's world have a tendency to dislike dragons in one way or another.
Sebastian Montgomery OMG I LITERALLY JUST SAID THIS
Great minds think alike haha
there's only one group of birds called a murder, not many one.
4:15 you said Toothless, not Hiccup.
I'm probably not going to be the only person to point that out.
S Mayo I NOTICED THAT
Same
i just replayed it sixteen times trying to make sense of it
Can we have Titan wing videos.PPPPPPPPPllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssseeeeeeeeee.Please

can you do a theory on how there even was a toothless blue alpha to get all the dragons back from the alpha
AnGee Lopez, isn't it because the alpha was focused on fighting toothless that all the dragons were "unhypnotyzed "
Flounge. It's half Flock and half Lounge.
No relation to Flerd at all.

You're coming close to 20,000 subs, congrats man.
All hail lord MISHKA for his majesty knows no bounds
Once you are done writing your book, I would love to read it
Flock + Lounge= Floung (noun)
• A group of migrating Dragons
When toothless flied on hookfang you meant to say hiccup
Could we get a theory on what a nightfury egg would look like. All hail your epic videos, and all hail MISHKA!
I would call them a flounge witch is a mix of flock and louge.
In the Netflix series thing girl hook fang has eggs but she didn't go to the island??????????
Hey Tim I really enjoy your videos they are awesome and keep it up
Thanks! Love having you as part of the subfury community.

Great vid, can't wait for the next migration vid
P.s.
Reminder:
ATLA spirits reproduce (you asked to be reminded and I intend to every new video)

Gift of the night fury was one of my favorite episode
You said when TOOTHLESS GOES ON HOOKFANG 4:13. I love these vids. Your videos are great even when you make mistakes.

Wow that is not what I thought it was
When Toothless got on Hookfang???
Isn`t that Hiccup!!
I marvel at your dancing moves.
4:14 "When Toothless got on Hookfang..." ummm ok

First of all. All hail Mishka!!
Second of all. Did you mean hiccup? 4:14
And finally... love the shirt!!
Well in race to the edge, there was an episode called “to heather or not to heather” and there was Deadly Nadder migration which they redirect away from hunter territory.
Can you please make longer vids I really love your vids so I was just wondering if you could maybe make em a bit longer
Two things!
One, It is said in an episode of RttE that it is called a flock of dragons.
Two....
PLZ do a theory on deathsongs!
4:16 "when toothless got on hookfang"
Your making a book? I will buy it and recommend it to all my friends
"When toothless got on hookfang" well done 😂

I would just like to say that you do an amazing job at this theorizing stuff! :)
Hi
gamingraptor hello
Hi :)
Hey tim remember me keep all the awesome work and all hail mishkia is that how you spell the name
From what I can remember, in an episode of Race to the Edge when the Naddar migration was going on, Hiccup called a group of Naddars a pack so... A group of dragons is a pack...
Hey if night furies do migrate then why did toothless take so long to try to fly away
He can't Fly Without HICCUP! Hello!!!!!
According to Angela’s wording of a group of dragons in Eragon, a group of 10 or more dragons is called a Thunder

Based on the way that the dragons looked in the red-death cave thing at the end of movie one and the way they move around the bewilderbeast, a group of dragons with an alpha is a “Writhing” and one without an alpha is a “wriggle”
You could combine lounge and flock for either Lock, or Flounge, a think a lock of dragons would sound better tbh
Hey Tim, for your 20k video can you please do a Q&A but also Toothless's Alpha theory/explanation to his transformation. Thanks.
Wouldn't a large mixed group of dragons simply be called a "flight" of dragons ?
4:16 Toothless got on Hookfang
you made a mistake at 4:15 hiccup was riding hookfang
He said when TOOTHLES got on hookfang, you got the names mixed up
At 4:16 you said "when TOOTHLESS got on hook fang " don't you mean hiccup
In the Inheritance Cycle a group of dragons is called a thunder (because of the sound of their flying)
Wait what u said when toothless got on hookfang!
im happy that u found somthing that u love to do.i love your thereys.
a thunder of dragons its from eragon the books
hope your books are epic
you should do another Dragon tournament episode with the Deadly Nadder versus the Timberjack

She obviously already mated, or else there wouldn't be any babies to hatch, so the migration can't be to find a mate. And considering that, when Hiccup gets to the migration location eggs are already hatching, the other dragons must have already mated as well.
I don't know how it works for dragons, but chicken eggs take 21 days to hatch. And usually the larger the animal, the longer the gestation/incubation period.

I personally like Christopher Paolini's (Eragon book series) "a thunder of dragons", named for the sound that their wings make in a group.
A group of dragons (from the inheritance cycle books (eragon)) is called a thunder. A thunder of dragons. From the sound of multiple wings pounding the air.
It would be a flock because it refers to the term of any avian or flying creature traveling to the same place at the same time
you should make another Dragon tournament episode with the deadly Nana versus a Timberjack
A group of dragons is called a flock or a pack
Collective noun for a group of dragons might be a 'flight' of dragons.
in the series, "Riders Of Berk" in one of the episodes, hiccup got borks notes. There is an island called "The Isle of night" full of night furys, can you talk about it in the next video!
انت لافضل لاتتوقف و شكرا لك لانك
I think it is "flock" because fireworms ( a type of dragon ) were called a flock in race to the edge
Hey do hook fang vs stormfly for the tournament pls
At 4:16 he says toothless gets on hookfang when it was hiccup
I'd say that a collective noun of dragons would probably be a ,cloud of dragons' like a 'cloud of bats'
love all your how to train your dragon videos
the shirt you're wearing of Toothless on the Doctor Who box I have the same one that I got off of one of your other videos
