    You should do more e-bike reviews. I watch your channel and also have an ATV. But I do want an e-bike also.

    How about a segment on those "Shredder's" , unless y'all did already,. It's like a skateboard on two tracks powered by a fourstroke

    It would be nice to see you do a comparison with other bikes like the quietkat

    Scott builds some very fine bikes. But, "...the best bikes in the world"??? Hardly. To each their own, but I believe there are other equally-capable (or better) makes. Nonetheless, I appreciate the review of this rather out-of-the-box topic on Dirt Trax and would appreciate more like it.
    As always, thanks for sharing.

      I agree, In my opinion, from riding several of e bikes that the specialized pedal assist bikes are way better then the Scott's.

    hey cool video whats the price

    • @bl8danjil
      @bl8danjil Před 4 lety +1

      Probably around $7 grand USD. For reference, I think an intermediate grade bike starts around at $1, 400 USD, enthusiast grade around $5 grand, and there are pro bikes that cost $10 grand. Electric adds to the price because of balance and stiffness issues the manufacturer has to take into account when putting a battery and motor.
      I have a regular, non electric, mountain bike. A hard tail that I got for around $900... And then I took advantage of a fork upgrade.
      I don't see myself getting a pedal assist anytime soon because of cost and the fact that some places won't allow electric mountain bikes, either throttle or pedal assist, on the land.

    Since you started down this trail, why not do a comparison review of ebikes as there are a few to choose from? (eg. Yamaha now has them and the ebikes roadracer Eddie Lawson now endorses) Would help consumers make informed decisions with such relatively expensive toys. Thanks.

    You are thinking of the sram gx, or eagle.

    • @bl8danjil
      @bl8danjil Před 4 lety

      The amount of force you use for pedaling is amplified by the electric motor.

    Good review, I didn't expect it from dirt trax though. Good job, but I'm not saying I want more bicycle reviews.

    Every person I know that has an ebike and goes off-road has problems with them. On pavement they're great. Lots of guys use them at GNCC to get a preview of the track. Usually they get pushed out. The price versus the return on the investment the industry needs to work on.
    I'm not bashing them, but they need more refinement.

    • @jeffmacey6482
      @jeffmacey6482 Před 4 lety +1

      PhillyLS1 I was wondering about that. I was considering a Yamaha ebike. I was thinking that might be a little better for off road. The two I saw were crazy expensive 2,300 and almost $3,000. Even for a big-name that's more than I'm willing to spend. Hopefully the quality comes up.

    Why are you so Afraid of giving out price

    • @pavmentsurfer13
      @pavmentsurfer13 Před 4 lety

      Not afraid at all... but we have viewers from all over the world and prices for bikes like this vary greatly. What I quote as a price may be completely different and possibly misleading for someone watching from a different area. Prices in your area are easy to look up on the google.

    @bl8danjil Před 4 lety +1

    Just some warning, there are some parks that won't even allow Class 1 (pedal assist only) electric mountain bikes on their trails even though you can ride the same trails on a regular mountain bike. Check with whoever manages the land what their rules are for electric type bicycles or what class of electric mountain bike is allowed.

    LOL.... $6,000-$8,000 for a mountain bike is a complete joke. Don't care how fancy. Lets get real. That is obscenely over priced. Hard pass
