- In this episode, I am leaving Ghana and cross the border into Togo. It's a stunning mountainous area to cross and the views are magnificent everywhere. After some confusing border formalities, I scale Mount Agou : Togo's highest mountain.

I think the gentleman with the "spoiled" motorbike perfectly expressed how many of us feel about Itchy Boots.
Absolutely! "You are Great" I am Proud of You" says it all. Smart man that came to that conclusion in a minute.
We all are proud for our super lady Noraly , you made us real proud stay safe & be blessed always .
You can’t hide God’s gifts…
He was certainly being honest in his response!
I totally aggre 👍😊
"Very proud of you" ... hell yeah, aren't we all? Such a humility and kindness from a total stranger says a lot ...
He said everything we feel every time we watch her
I love this guy! He got it immediately and was so pumped at the idea of riding across the world. So positive!
Some of the people Noraly meets along the way are very kind and genuine!
@@donewhiskey Yea I thought same. We all know how amazing she is but this nice chap.....he 100% nailed it with his assessment of Noraly in about 30 seconds. Essentially he said I love you without saying it. Maybe he heard she was coming, maybe not. Doesn't matter I could tell by his demeanor and facial expression he was a good guy. Peace!
Something Europeans don't show to africans in Europe!
The polite gentleman with the spoiled motorcycle is amazing. What a lovely and genuine interaction. I really hope some kind soul helps him get his motorbike back on the road. You can see two things in his eyes, kindness and a longing for adventure!
Thats the Ghana Immigration Service.
🇬🇭😊
The reception of the immigration officer towards Noraly makes me so proud as a Ghanaian i just keep coming back to watch the Ghana episodes all over again. This is what being Ghanaian is all about. Proud of the officer, a true ambassador of the land
"I am so proud of you" is going to be echoed alot in this comment section, and Noraly deserves every single one. She worked relentlessly to achieve this level of success, and we couldn't be more proud of her accomplishments. Well done Noraly! 👋👋👋
It is so interesting to hear the way the border official expressed both his surprise and his admiration for Noraly...."I am proud of you"....repeated a number of times....what a lovely way to compliment someone !!!! Also, Noraly, love the incidental music for the drone flights !!!
and then there was a different vibe at the border itself..
Not sure if he said it to Noraly or the bike that he kept looking the whole time.
Very much so, seemed liked a good dude, open and happy to be impressed.
8:00 The first Ghanaian Immigration Officer's expression of surprise was priceless.. "I'm proud of you". ❤
I've watched every single episode of Itchy Boots' videos and have been hooked for a long time. Even my 89 year old mother is a fan, and we quite often discuss the latest episode on a Sunday afternoon. However, this is my first comment, and I just wanted to say your channel is amazing and wish you well.
Made the immigration man’s day 😂 very proud of you .
STAY IN ÁFRICA SAFARI PLEASE FOREVER AND EVER ALL THE ETERNITY
what a lovely man
Noraly meets so many lovely people. 😊
One of the few officers, that didn't cross the line.😉
Different cultures, different lines i suppose.
As the soldier said, I, too, am proud of you, Noraly... ride safe...
The soldier really humbled me he's a good man
This week I met a contractor at our home who grew up in Gambia. I mentioned that I have been following a channel on You Tube by a young Dutch woman traveling through West Africa on her moto. Ah he declared, I follow Noraly too! Such a good laugh and chat about Gambia and Senegal. Thank you for making the world a better place
Her smiling face and humility is her passport to the world. It’s her interactions with people that I enjoy most.
I am getting the most amazing geography lessons from Noraly. If she had been my teacher 60 years ago, I would have enjoyed class alot more. Be safe. Till next time..
I've said same thing. I never had a teacher like her. What we are learning can't be learned from a book or big media TV. The truth she is showing the world is getting attention from some interesting people.
@@jasonzerbini2375 Ditto.
Tangent thought; When I went to a local Renaissance Festival 30 years after school, Shakespeare finally "came alive" for me at the theatre production when the action/actors were in front and on both sides of the audience.
Learnt soo much about West Africa from your adventures than I ever did...keep it up,and Alaska is a beast, Liberia almost had Alaska surrendering but I'm glad you came out in one piece
Liberia was hell man muddy everywhere...how I wish noraly to pass through Kenya also East Africa to see more adventure...
" i am so proud of you",,and we all are proud of her. I had goosebumps when that gentleman said so. Those expressions of him were deep from the bottom of his heart ❤️
Africa just continues to blow me away with its beauty - both the people with their warmth and hospitality and the varied and stunning landscapes. Thanks for these videos, Noraly!
Reason why colonization worked. So humble
The landscape in Ghana and Togo is stunning! With every episode I marvel "This world is soooo beautiful!"
Togo is gorgeous. I recommend it to you.
looks a great deal like the Great smokey mountains in the USA!
the whole area is like being in a minimal security prison, with hoops and ladders..with periods of detention for making mistakes
Noraly’s aerial views are always phenomenal!
@@francoisdeoax.3078what is the name of that area in Togo with the mountains across the border from Ghana to Togo called please? What is the name of the mountain?
We are all proud of you Noraly !!! I have watched 587 of your videos, since you starded in India .
Gosh. So have I. I should have been working ...
@@wedwardes Shhhh me too!
Lol…. many of us ride along on the motorcycle with Noraly! Plus, having been here since the beginning, we have seen parts of the world otherwise unknown! 👍🏻🇺🇸
That man's reaction as you left Ghana, the one with the spoiled bike, matches mine. With every episode I marvel at your spirit and energy. Good luck tomorrow.
"That's wonderful, i'm proud of you" Made my day, I need to tell people i'm proud of them more.
I can hardly wait for Wednesdays and Sundays - it's like looking forward to meeting up with a best friend and being included in her latest adventure. Thank you Noraly! Like many have said you have an outstanding talent for creating your videos - just one of so many remarkable talents - not the least of which is your genuine appreciation for our brothers and sisters around the world. God bless. (Now I've got to wait until Sunday.....)
Yea me too. I have been successful in not idolizing popular musicians, TV stars, or sports stars like many do but man, Noraly is making it hard not to idolize her. What a truly genuine character with a big heart that sets a perfect example for the world to see. Peace!
Noraly make it very easy to live vicariously through her adventures. Oh if I only really had all her talents!!😏
Noraly makes to easy to remember what day of the week it is! On Sunday’s and Wednesday’s she always has another exciting day in her adventures to share!
“I am so proud of you”, (first immigration officer) is exactly our sentiments towards you Noraly. Your drone skills are amazing as always. First class channel. Stay safe.
Noraly, your expeditions in Ghana are even helping some of us in Ghana to learn more about the nooks and crannies of the country. You're delivering a practical Geography lessons to us. This particular border crossing to Togo is so educative. I'm very impressed and thrilled by your adventures in Africa and other regions of the world. I'm only worried about your security. Please take care on your way. ❤
*nukes and cronies -> nook and cranny
...learn about every nook and cranny of the country.
Right
oh my God!! the man in military uniform's reaction is priceless!!! :) Always keep safe :)
Watching your border crossing into Togo was a thrilling adventure! Navigating the complexities of international travel on a motorcycle takes real guts. Keep crossing borders and breaking barriers, Noraly.
You make me smile every time I see your big grin, Noraly. And, in case you missed this in a comment earlier, it is because of you I am back on a motorcycle. By the time Season 6, episode 35 ended, I went out and bought my second bike. I've ridden it for five months and have clocked just 17,000 km on it so far. I am 72.8. My last long ride took 13 hours. It's never too late. And, if your life is boring, get a motorcycle.
Yep me too. That smile is worth a million dollars. I grew up riding off road then migrated to 4-wheeler Quads then not much at all but have wanted a dual sport for a long time. With gas at almost $4/gal here is PA USA I bought a 2023 300 Rally (getting 78mpg) and have been riding it almost everyday, mostly commuting with some off road. when I found Itchy Boots channel 18 months ago, that cinched it. Peace. Ride Safe
@@jasonzerbini2375 To you and Gertjan, watch out for the crazy's on the road. After selling my Honda 350 & Harley 74, I have no desire to do it again, but am glad you both did. Lebanon PA.
You are an encouragement! We just get a bit dated, that is all.
@@jasonzerbini2375….. you picked a great bike to start riding again with! The mileage you’re getting is fantastic the way gas prices are right now! Good luck, ride safe, and have fun! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thank you. I came home at 11:30 pm after leaving Sicamous at 5:30 a.m. That was yesterday. 18 hours. So far the longest day with my bike. And, yes, the bike was a good choice. It has some scars to prove it has gone places and seen adventures. This recent ride was two nights camping out. Rain and Odin with his hammer all night. Wet pack up in the morning. The morning of the long ride yesterday was spent on my sleeping mat under a tree. I was too tired when I arrived to set up a tent and it didn't appear to bring rain. I slept in my Gryphon gear. It wasn't too cold until morning when I had to add a blanket. It's never too late to have an adventure. Now I have to rest up a few days. It doesn't get easier when one is nearly 73. Creak, creak....@@WillysPerformanceCycleCtr
It's amazing how these roads and the vegetation from Togo and Gana are similar to the ones we have in many places in Brazil .
I love getting lost in the natural beauty and kindness of the people in the countries you are visiting. Thank you! 💗
Extraordinary. Thank you for teaching us all about Africa. Let more kilometers come. Greetings from Lampa, Peru.
I agree. She is world wide gem. Greeting from Amman Jordan!
Lampa helped our Noraly when she most needed it, especially the guesthouse owner. 🙂
The world is indeed beautiful, and Noraly is doing a great job showing us some of these beautiful places. I am proud of her & and Alaska. Greetings from Kenya!
¡Aquí otro peruano siguiendo Noraly!
❤❤❤❤
Looks like the clutch rebuild is working fine - except for the petrol leak - they did a great job👍
I agree that the clutch rebuild was at least successful. However, when Noraly reaches a better appointed shop, she should really have the bike checked thoroughly.
A lot of unseen damage can occur when small bits of sand or other debris are introduced into the internal working parts.
This is not a criticism of the mechanic supervising the work. He can only do his best given the substandard enviornment. You can't expect much more than what was provided--especially while adventure touring. Be thankful for small gifts.
@@guydemullet303 More thoroughly than a complete tear down and cleaning?
@@guydemullet303 I bet those mechanics know about damage by small bits of debris in the engine and transmission and took precautions. Besides, those usually find their way into filters and oil pans. So a good fluid change, which she said she would do at 1000 Km, may be all she needs.
That officer is actually a Ghanaian Immigration Officer... ❤ U inspire a lot 🎉
The Officer with the 'spoiled bike' i,e. broken motorcycle, seemed like he just woke up ! He was very impressed with your bike and you. Like a little shy kid he was quite nice and complimentary of you. Down to Earth and real heartfelt. West Africa sure is making quite the impression !
The serene ride through Ghana is just what the doctor ordered for you and Alaska (after the chaos of the previous episodes). Congrats on another border crossing! “We are all proud of you!” 😊
Greetings from 🇰🇪Kenya🇰🇪 in East Africa. You're such an inspiration Noraly!
At least Kenya seems more developed than West Africa...Ama ni aje?
Hope one day she will visit Kenya
She's now approaching East Africa.
9:00 i think that s what make these journeys and adventures even richer: hearing a stranger saying "I am proud of you" after hearing your story. Well deserved for Noraly. What you are doing is incredible.
Ive binged watched 57 episodes in 3 days "new subscriber here" since alaska was on the operating table. I clicked for the CRF rally content, and I've gotten way more than what I've imagined. I love what you do the content you bring your subscribers is extremely amazing. Now, to start from the beginning of your channel and watch everything until new comes out. Thank you for what you do 👏
Yep I did same about 18 months ago when I found Itchy Boots researching the 300 Rally (which I now own). Videos are so irresistible. I hope my employer doesn't mind too much. LOL....Her route through Iran just blew me away how the people were so helpful and friendly to a white non-Muslim woman. The beginning of learning what I have been taught here in US in false, and as I have learned a great deal now much of what media has taught about other countries is false narrative as well. She is shining the light. Enjoy the ride my friend! Peace!
I did the same AND also had to check out Ed March ofcourse (the guy who 'saved' her in Colorado/Utah). His video part 1 Alaska-Argentina is a MUST see.
Togo! The finger of God! I spent some time there with the wonderful Togolese, thank you for the memories and this epic African journey you are sharing with us! Truly, the best channel on CZcams! Thank you and happy trails!
I am happy that I found your channel. I like to travel a lot, but I have never had the opportunity to travel to the continent of Africa. The people of those countries are very kind and help people.
Welcome aboard. You have years to get caught up with her travel's. I have been on board since India. It has been a great learning experience.
Please come visit us here. In South Africa you will find we are the world in one country. The scenery varies from province to province. We have excellent infrastructure and we cater for every kind of tourist. Adventure, families, singles, and groups. Our wildlife, our towns and cities, food and people will always make you feel welcome!
She has already visited South Africa., Nabibia,Botswana and Zimbabwe. See season 5@@ghoo283
Just seeing the topography of Ghana and Togo really makes you wonder if this was actually a larger continent with South America that was separated so many million years ago.
It really looks like that. The jigsaw 🧩 puzzle makes a lot of sense
The first Ghanaian official was kind, nice, and very respectful too. We need more of him on the road.
First border attendant very smart. "You are Great" "I am Proud of You". Noraly's shining character allows her to pass right through a trouble border stop. What we are learning about these countries and cultures can only be learned from Noraly. She has risen so far above everything else. Noraly I love how at end of incredible drone shots you zoom down to yourself. Don't get spoiled with that A/C. Thank You Noraly. Peace! ❤❤❤
Noraly, you've done it again. New country, new view of absolute beauty!
Watching this "Africa season" just leaves me speechless! Just following your journey for two months or so has taught me more about african countries, their inhabitants and landscape than 13 years in school, dozends of documentarys and a couple of books! Thank you sooo much for letting us participate on this amazing journey! Your videos illustrate all the "dry" sentences I´ve once read or heard in books, documentaries or stories about the african continent and put flesh to the bone of theoretical knowledge! Thank you sooo much for uploading these videos! Take care and Godspeed to you Noraly!!!!👍
Every Sunday and Wednesday I buy internet bundle special for your videos do not want to miss them. Greetings from Dar Es Salaam.

It's Itchy Boots time! Let's go!
was waiting for this...amazing, glad you enjoyed Ghana
The way that Gentleman talked with you was just so nice and heartwarming. What a guy!
Togo is very beautiful. I´ve gone four times n the 80´s an 90´s, it´s wonderful and its people very kind and hospitable. You have to go on the coast, it´s gorgeous.
I think the statement "I'm proud of you" is the most used phrase on your journey. As I said b4, you are a super woman who has taken us all on a great adventure. Another country and more kilos with our queen of adventure on her reliable steed, Alaska. Thanks Noraly, you rock🌧️🌧️🌴🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦👍
I've realized that I have learned and have been using the metric system since watching your travels. Kilometers are my new normal. 😅 Enjoy your journey, and thank you for taking us along. 🇺🇸
Kilometers is the normal here in Kenya, I think using Miles would be heck of a job for me😁
Jimmy Carter tried! Us Americans do not like change. Wait until we try to eliminate the penny. Canada did it 10 years ago.
I'm proud of you!!
@@AndrewBlacker-wr2ve No most speedometers here have Km/hr, Kilometers is the main unit of measurement even on our roads. Remember vehicles are customized for specific markets.
@@AndrewBlacker-wr2ve We were not arguing.
Such a wholesome moment with that officer, he was really in awe.
That last guy in Ghana you talked to....might be the nicest guy I've seen you meet (and you've met a LOT of wonderful people). That guy was so genuinely impressed and showed it with much respect. Very cool!
My in-laws lived in Togo working for the Peace Corp early in their retirement, for 2 years. They're about to become new Itchy Boots fans! They started watched as you entered Ghana, as they've traveled that region as well.
Be safe! Keep it up!
The border officer has now joined the ItchyNation: "I'm Proud of You" 👍😎🏆
Your wonderful personality is never a hinderance when dealing with border officials.😉☺
Happy Trails Ride On! 💖🏍🤠
There's nothing like cruising with Noraly!😊
Togo is a favorite place I love to visit! I have had dinner there where you stayed at Chez Fanny and spend time just up the road in Tsiko and up north in Mango. The people of Togo are so kind. Enjoying the journey with you!
Thirty years ago I met a young Togo man at a hostel in Geneva Switzerland, there to interview for a job with the UN. We debated politics, laughed, & I moved on a little wiser. A few years later I remember winning a game of "hangman" because I was the only one who knew about Togo... thank you for finally giving me my first glimpse of Togo!
the drone shots of Mount Agou are amazing!
Noraly. It’s always good to watch an easy, stress free border crossing. Togo is looking like another beautiful, scenic country to ride in. Good things in small packages. Cheers, Dan 🏍✌️🇨🇦
Wow,the man on the 7:55-9:10 ,genuine reactions, loved him!
Love the Ghanese border guard's kinky leopard uniform.

Such an beautiful country is Togo...looks so clean, the nature is stunning and soooooo green...the buildings are charming and some of the roads are paved and some not, but does not give any problems with motorbiking!!!!!!!!! And the people are really suuuuper friendly!!!

Wonderful ! That guy said it all.
West Africa is full of surprises, and I can't wait to see your latest adventures as soon as each new episode drops.
Ghana was fascinating, and yes, you showed us some very different aspects. (I live in Japan, but my boss and many of my colleagues are from Ghana.)
I discovered Noraly by chance in a comment on Twitter. For several days now I've been watching her videos, and not without admiration. What a WOMAN! What can I say? What a LADY!
I'm learning a lot about Africa, my Africa. I travel a lot myself as a missionary and I have to admit that we Africans are the most hospitable people in the world.
BUT, BUT, BUT, I draw two conclusions from watching these videos:
1- Our borders inherited from Berlin in 1884 were a bloody and savage dismemberment. It's a real crime to divide families and clans in this way.
2- The state of structural decay in Africa, everywhere it's the same shameful spectacle. The beauty and wealth of our countries contrast with the poverty and degradation of our states.
Africa's elites are worse than the speakers in Berlin.
To Noraly, thank you for taking us with you on your journeys and helping us to discover this beautiful land of Africa.
The first time I went to Togo a colleague I was with suffered some serious harassment from "officials??" at Lome airport trying to extract money from him, threatening all sorts of unpleasantness if he didn't pay up. I was later told that they had not bothered me so much because they showed some respect to "old grey hairs" like me. Good to see that you met some much friendlier types!
Heerlijk om te zien hoe Noraly geniet!!! Het is en blijft een TOP vrouw!!!
jy sê dit so mooi! Een top vrouw inderdaad!
Wonderful!!
When I was in grade school studying geography I pointed on the map at Togo and thought I might like to go there some day, well here she is living large and showing me I had the right idea. The greenery is stunning!
Norlay as always your overall view and vision of Ghana is a testament of your position in the country and your comments really show the potential of Ghana travelling to tourists the people of Ghana are impressed by your stories, they are a country where they are really important to us all, and we should support them with tourism, keep up the videos and comments on a wonderful country that Ghana is, we never here positive stories only negative news stories, now we have a in depth story of how wonderful and beautiful the country and people are, safe travels Norlay you and Alaska, Michael power Ireland [Eire y
