  • Just two effects to get the text illuminated! Please watch my After Effects tutorial if you want to know how to create an extruded 3D Text that is illuminated.
    You don't even need Cinema 4D or Element 3D to achieve this text effect.
    Watch it, it's super easy! Even for beginners :)
    Enjoy!

    Procrastination pays off at last!
    I don't need illuminated text, but started watching this anyway and FINALLY FOUND A WAY TO ADD GRADIENTS TO EXTRUDED LAYERS [LE: @02:06 - solid with Compound Arithmetic - you add blur to it, but it works for gradients just as well], which i've been searching for hours.
    You're a genius, thank you!

    Thanks i really appreciate. Please how do i make 3D text pop out like the one you did. You did not show us that part.

    • @MichaelPonch
      @MichaelPonch  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you 😊. I think the only thing I didn’t show was to add a point light with a warm color into the scene that illuminates the bottom of the 3D text. Is this what you were looking for?

      @@adelekeadetunji4603 oh sorry. yeah, that was a bit too fast at the end 😊. It’s just a position animation of the 3d text. I set position keyframes, selected the 3d text and moved the z-axis of the 3D-Gizmo.

    How do I do this with 3d shape layers?

    • @MichaelPonch
      @MichaelPonch  Před rokem

      It works the same. The shape layer must be switched to 3D layer and the composition’s renderer must be Cinema4D. Then you can extrude in the geometry options 😊

    • @MichaelPonch
      @MichaelPonch  Před 3 lety +1

      @Orange Creator Studio have you checked if your compositions renderer is set to “Cinema 4D”. I mentioned it in the beginning of the tutorial 0:23 😊

    WTF! even for beginner, how to move the camera forward

    • @MichaelPonch
      @MichaelPonch  Před 3 lety

      You can change the position parameters (select camera and press p to reveal position attributes) or you can use the track z camera tool (cycle through the camera tools by pressing c until the cursor becomes the track z cam tool). Hope that helps 😎
