Don't blame the refs. Chiefs recievers kept dropping passes, and the guy was clearly off sides.
I think refs can certainly be blamed. But not in this instance or this game. It's just the refs are so used to being on the side of the Chiefs and Eagles, that when they aren't giving you every call. They throw a fit. Clearly a penalty, can't be mad over that. However, there has been games this year where refs dictate way too much and control the outcome. Bills Eagles and Dolphins Eagles are prime examples of that. Hell even the Cowboys Eagles game haha.

Toney was lined up offside all game, the refs waited till there was a minute left in the game before they threw a flag...This is most certainly on the refs...
For the few people that don’t think he was in the neutral zone or that it was close and shouldn’t have been called…. The center is the only player in the neutral zone due to his touching of the football. If you look at every other offensive lineman that’s where toney should be lined up, you don’t need to talk to the ref if you line up with your tackle and guards
If he were 20 yards wide, I could see some confusion, but he's 20 feet from the center how can he not see that

They give you a warning if you're slightly unaligned. If you're an idiot like him and are blatantly lined up over the ball in the neutral zone they're not going to warn the player, so yes it should have "been" a penalty which is what I think you were trying to say instead of "Ben". @@markmc9229 it’s a warning if you’re too far behind the line of scrimmage not leaving enough players on the line. It’s not a warning when it comes to lining too far forwards. The reason being that if the play is a run or a screen or even a pass there is too much of an advantage to the offensive player. On this particular play there wasn’t but the ref doesn’t wait to see what the play is before a flag.
All he had to do was put his forward foot roughly where the center's feet are, maybe even just a smidge ahead. No, he has his front freaking foot where the defense is. What in the world is he thinking....

Sorry, Patrick. Before this ball was snapped I said the guy is standing on the blue line in the neutral zone. When the ball got snapped, the flag flew. I knew it was coming back. Who knew it was the brainstorm play they had been forever working on. It involved Toney. The guy who was offside. Next time you pull out a one-in-a-lifetime play, don't be so anxious that you are offside.

No ref at any level (except maybe peewee) will stop the play to move a reciever. Maybe they warn you if you line up too close once, but at the beginning of every play the reciever checks with the line judge to see if he’s “good”

If you're asking if that extra half step mattered in the success of the play, I'd say no. However, that's a middle school level mistake and the refs are going to (rightly so) call it every time. It's not an objective call like a lot of things are in football and not calling it would say to me the refs aren't paying attention. Even delay of game has some wiggle room, but this? This wasn't even close. Clearly over the line.
