That's like speeding through a red light, and after you get pulled over, telling the officer, "I run this light all the time, and nobody pulls me over." In sports, much like with traffic cams, replay makes it impossible to hide anything. If you do it, you get dinged. That's just how it is.

Check out what Orlavsky showed. Toney was lining up like that all night. There are pics from the dolphins game this week of them lining up offsides, steelers game this week of them lining up offsides. The problem isn't the penalty, it's when the penalty occured... They let him line up like that all night without flagging or telling him to back up, then on the final drive they decide to flag it. This is why everyone who doesn't agree with Mahomes and Reid right now can be immediately labeled as dumb. The problem is that the officials pick and choose when they want to apply the rules. The NFL needs CONSISTENCY in reffing games. If you are going to call that offsides, fine. But call it all night, call it all year and call it fairly across the entire league.

Mahomes has been in favor of many subjective calls, he has no right to complain. Furthermore the call couldn’t be more objective and factual. It’s not like PI or roughing the passer. It’s literally you did it or you didn’t. Chiefs don’t even get a “moral” argument either - the refs called it *before* the play turned out like that. It’s not like it happened and then they changed the outcome, the outcome was set immediately.

Patrick Mahomes just won a Super Bowl when a ticky tack call sealed the game for him. Why doesn't he reference that if he's talking about these calls ruining the game? Oh that's right that one went in his favor so of course he doesn't have a problem with it.

Frustration was building in mahomes because guys were letting him down and he had to press every game, nothing easy. This game was just too much for him emotionally. You can see he wasn't himself during the post game presser.
This was the single most embarrassing moment in Mahomes career, I'm the biggest Mahomes fan and love everything about him and I think he's a 10 top qb all time and maybe top 3 by the end of his career, but you can't lose your minds at the refs, after a week a go you said that you can't blame the refs, and now you want to complain about take away the greatness of the game. HE WAS CLEARLY OFFSIDE. And if you want to be mad at someone be mad at two people veach and toney, veach for not making a move at the deadline for a WR and toney for not looking at the ref before the play, it's basic football rules and everyone does it. And KC will not make the superbowl, I can even go as far to say they will get bounced from the first round

These four are so entertaining together. I love the three football greats giving their own insights of the game and Skip instigating as always.
In a weird way this show has gotten better (and First Take has gotten better) with Shannon's move. Skip with multiple guys around him can't bloviate or monopolize as much and has to actually think through stuff first, and Shannon's personality and energy is a great fit for SAS on First Take.
Neither show is as good as Get Up!, First Things First or Inside in NBA IMHO, but I feel like both have gotten better.
Would love to see them get someone in the trenches on the line just to give that extra insight on what's going there but so hard , love the group right now
This is an integrity issue. Mahomes basically said that some penalties should be overlooked because it had no “causal” impact on the game. He wants the ref to keep quiet and bail them out.

This is something that not every fan would know, but to these guys it's something so mundane that 3 elite players across different generations all said the same thing.
If the flag had been thrown after the lateral had occurred, I could see the anger, but they threw the flag before the "greatness" happened.

My goodness this segment is amazingly good and entertaining imo. Superb insight from these 3 former NFL greats. All 3 of these guys had great to excellent NFL careers. Obviously, Michael has a gold jacket.

It's not an egregious penalty. Literally had zero effect on the outcome of the play. Isn't that what everyone was saying last year about the out of bounds late hit on the Bengals and the Eagles PI when those were 1000% correct calls as well?!? Even Pat McAfee and ton of analysts were like "Can't have it, refs got to get this ** right"... "ruining the end of games"... "got to let them play"... Now it happens to the Chiefs and the whole world is in agreement that you got to make those calls on a penalty that LITERALLY HAD NO EFFECT on the outcome of the play... The QB couldn't of got hurt on on a late hit... It didn't affect a guy's route, the ball didn't even go to Toney until Kelce made one of the most incredible heads up lateral's in NFL history... 🤣🤣🤣 But now "you got to call that, it's a penalty for sure"... because it negatively affected the Chiefs.

That call in the Chiefs game also happened in the Ravens Rams game. Tyan Wallace, who won the game with the punt return, was lined up in the neutral zone on the punt. Rams got an automatic first down. Rams then scored a touchdown to take the lead 28-23.

Why didn't the KC players say "hey Toney, back up alittle dude"? I played DB and LB in high school and I remember our coaches always telling us, "you are responsible for your teammates" and our coaches also told us "you have to always keep communicating with your teammates".
