I’ve been drawing professionally for 11 years, I must say Brown Hoodie did an AMAZING job! I could feel the body leaning into the couch and the angle of the body was very consistent, I also thought he had some fine arts experience, very professional ❤

this is actually amazing. it's not just about the courage of being that open about showing your bodies, nor just about being in a still, possibly uncomfortable position for a long time... what impresses me the most is her ability to make this flow, she perfectly administrates the whole session and shifts the awkward atmosphere into something light, amazing job!
I'm an artist and I used to do nude paintings, and my friends always teased me as to how lucky I am and always assumed I get a boner 😂😂😂 They have no idea it's a myth, cuz we see nude subjects the same way we see clothed subjects...

@@natashahyung5585 thing is, I've been drawing nude portraits even before I did the actual on-the-spot thing, and I'm pretty sure most of the fellow artists out there had too because studying anatomy of both male and female is part of it, so you'd get used to the idea of nudity long before the on-the-spot painting. Now the first time I did it, there was honestly no awkwardness or arousal because I was busy looking and studying the details, my mind was too focused on how to make my artwork perfect...and the interactions in the video between the artist and subject rarely happens, it's very rare, I've never had conversations with my subject in the middle of it. The idea is, the silence serves as the barrier and reminder that you're in a working mode, once you break that barrier and starts talking and being casual, you'll see your subject in a different light...
I mean yeah in my BJJ Gym sometimes I've to spar with women and guess what there are many beautiful and hot looking ones that I'll literally get a boner if i get a whip of their scent😂. But when i spar with them i never thought of them sexually and romantically. I've unintentionally touched many wrong parts during sparring and i never thought of them sexually or got a boner and apologise after if my hands go in inappropriate places. Maybe if you're passionate about something you don't get distracted over such stuffs.

We should give the guys credit for being respectful througout as well. When the model took her robes off the guys didn't leer at her unlike the women when they drew the male model. When the male model took his robe off, the girls immediately stared at his genitals.

This is great.. I also recommend everyone find the 2021 OSSC video Chacha and Minji and Heejin did where they drew a nude male model. It was amazing - Chacha's face was bright red for a few moments - you'll know which I mean if you watch it.

✍🏻 What I particularly enjoyed over time is the initial awkward barriers that the model assisted in easing them to become more comfortable as one of the guys specifically expressed at the end. It would’ve been more of an uncomfortable experience if there was nothing but silence and a lack of a verbally personal/direct exchange of words before, during and after the sketches were finished.
😊 Of course this is just what I observed through my perspective.
🎨 I too am quite passionate in all aspects of artistry so I appreciated the transparency and honest expressiveness of both the model and the trio alike. She really helped loosen up the initial nervous stiffness and waves of shyness throughout the process which I found to be sweetly refreshing! ♥️

As a boyfriend I'd be more upset if she tried to hide her job. Then I'd feel like she doesn't trust me enough, in which case that just tells me our relationship wasn't strong enough. If she had a job I wasn't fine with at all, then I just think it'd be better to end things early than live in a lie, for the both of us.

I'm just glad Korea doesn't deem this as "perverted and pornøgraphic" like the USA does now. Centuries of art dating back to the Renaissance had nūde models and nobody questioned.
Life drawing is alive and well in art communities all around the world, (even in the USA).
The artists who actually attend life drawing classes aren't typically offended by the nude body, and are usually aggressively trying to improve their anatomy skills.
Also, since it's not usually filmed, (drawing from life in person is the point of life drawing) life drawing can't be considered pornographic.
IMO, (besides a random CZcams comment) anybody who doesn't have an interest in art wouldn't ever typically come across life drawing enough to be offended by it.
Though I'm sure you're probably aware of most of this, just thought I'd mention it.

The 3 guys drawings aren’t that bad for their first times! I used to study fine arts that included life drawing. I believe nude modeling is a great way to earn extra money, and everyone is so respectful, nothing sexual. Like any job, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Fun video to watch
They played around with some titillation and innuendo, but were mostly respectful, which is good. By "they" I mean the directors / producers of this video (though the same applies to the three young men as well: shy and nervous, but ultimately respectful). I have to assume that the model and the show-runners agreed on the pose ahead of time. It's fairly unusual for an artist's model to choose such an open-leg pose; I assume that was for titillation purposes, to make nude modeling seem a bit sexier than it usually is. Not to say that models *never* pose that way in an artist studio setting, but it's relatively rare; poses are usually more demure than that.
All three pieces were quite impressive, for non-artists! The one who included the whole couch: very well done! If he hasn't had any formal art training, he did mention he has had artistic ambitions, and it shows; he has a good eye! For being more shy and 'inexperienced' with women, he really met the occasion and made a wonderful representation.
In my experience in life-drawing situations, different models have different preferences when it comes to talking during a pose. Different artists also can have different preferences. Some artists or models prefer NO talking; the artist wants to concentrate on drawing, and/or the model wants to concentrate on holding still. Some like conversation, to keep things light, relaxed, friendly, organic. Everyone has their own preferred way of working. For a show like this, obviously conversation is a must; it'd be boring to just film four people in a silent room. The questions and answers are what reveal the thoughts of the participants. Also, for these first-timers, some conversation helps alleviate the nervousness: we're all just regular people, hanging out, having a conversation. The fact that one of us is nude and three of us are staring at that person trying to draw them is just the situation, but we're all people here. Respecting the model is important, and the conversation helped with that.
They have the same response everyone in my college art class had to the nude model days- it's just funny when you're sitting there looking at a naked person and going, "I have to draw this".

To me , there's nothing to feel shame , shy or laugh at while painting a nude. We were born nude , we go nude . It's quite natural . I appreciate European art , cultural , philosophical and literary movements of romanticism , naturalism , transcendentalism , impressionism , baroque, neoclassism , humanism , expressionism, renaissance , realism , surrealism , contemporary art and quite more . I am very used to that creativity . Infact sculptures of nude Roman and Greek gods and goddesses are found all across Italy, Greece and more . Even ancient hindu temples of India openly showcase erotic iconography. I like the open to nudity culture existing in Germany, France , Italy , Spain , Portugal and more . There are even nude beaches . Now that's also reminds me of Titanic movie scene . It's epic since it's so natural and beautiful. No sin . We humans made nudity a sin with our complicated narrow minds

This raised so many questions. Just a few, off the top of my head: Is this her actual, full-time job? She gets paid for it, for sure, but how much? If it's just a side job, what else does she do? Does she model in other ways too, for example on camera? Does she model for all kinds of paintings, or just nude paintings? Does she model just for groups, maybe art students, or does she also model for individual painters if they ask her to? Is there a lot of work to be found in nude modelling?
