Recipe is at 59 second mark! 1 cup nut butter, 1 cup coconut oil, 1/2 cup cocoa, sweetener or 10 dates softened, Macca (2 tsp), collagen (1 scoop). Thanks so much Schellea! love this!
I made them this morning and just tried one! They are amazing!!! I added a little orange oil for extra flavor and they turned out delicious and kid friendly too! My 4 yr. old loved it! You are my new idol! I’m 38 yrs young, not 50 yet but my mom is 56 and I shared all this with her! I want her to be healthy, beautiful and stay in shape for the longest. I’ve been watching your videos and loving all the good tips! Keep up all the good work and Thank you!!!!!!
I'm so happy you enjoyed the recipe Nadia Iarmolkowicz! Thanks for taking the time to comment 💪🌹 Sending you and your Mom and your little one a very big hug 🤗
Made this today and its absolutely delicious. Even the husband loved it. One square is plenty. I'll reduce the coconut oil and sugar next time. During this lockdown in Sydney, I'm making chocos for the neighbours for a little pick me up. Thanks so much for this great recipe.
I'm looking forward to making these. I am a diabetic that is slowly getting off meds. I have come to the dance late, but I'm rocking it thanks to you and your videos! Thank you Schell for all you do for us "older" ladies.
Hi Schellea, I love this recipe. I make it last week and these chocolates are just delicious! I used PB2 powder instead of the nut butter (to cut the WW points a little). It's SO good. I limit myself to just one a day. Much lower points than a chocolate candy and tastes better too in my opinion. Thank you so much. I don't let a day go by without exercising to one or another of your exercise videos. Now I'll be watching for more good recipes too. Your CZcams friend in Texas, Mary
This is now made weekly at my home . My daughter put a piece in her oatmeal . Because of the coconut oil it melt and she said it adds so much flavor. She is 21. I eat chocolate everyday . Now this has replaced all my sweets . Thanks you much . I also have all the woman I work with on B3.. since taking B3 my arthritis has left me...
Thats so awesome Fay! It can so easily replace sugar because they are so satisfying...I love your daughters recipe...Genius...B3 is magic, Im so happy it has helped ❤️
Made these 8 February, without Macca and Collagen. Made with my home made almond butter. They are beautiful. Couldn’t get Xylitol but used four sachets of stevia and monkfruit. Made 16 superb chocolates. Thank you. I have a Paleo Bread cooking also. Thank you, Shellea. Lyn
Attention,Ladies! These chocolate treats are so,so delicious! My husband, also, loves these. Thanks,Schellea, for these. I’d love to have more great healthy-swap recipes!
Thats awesome Melissa! So easy to make and guilt free. I use peanut butter and dedicated coconut plus chopped nuts for my husband. He is addicted...Maybe your husband will like these too xx
I just made some of these delicious chocolates. I used honey instead of Xylitol and added some reishi and ashwagandha powders as well. They are so yum, I can hardly believe it. A big thank you for sharing Schellea x
I swear by organic Maca and have 5 1-lb bags of it in my nutrition/smoothy making drawer. It really is a miracle worker when it comes to hormonal imbalances and keeps me calm/cool and collected all the time! :) I tried your broccoli sprouts (frozen) today and WOW does that work! I'll be growing them regularly from now on :) I also drink my collagen powder in dandelion/burdock root detox tea.... it keeps my skin, hair and nails really nice.
Just made this, and it's incredible! My very healthy-eating, vegan daughter and SIL loved it, too. I plugged it into My Fitness Pal, and it comes out to 125 calories, 7g carbs, 12.8g fat, and 3g protein for each piece. It really is better than chocolate - better tasting and better for you! Thanks for this and all your fun, informative videos!
Oh, wow! I just got the macca and collagen to make these this morning. I made them with almond butter, added a few drops of almond extract and about 1 tsp. of vanilla. And I used Monkfruit with erythrifol rather that the xylitol. I'm not a fan of using either xylitol or erythritol because they are highly processed alcohol sugars, but they do taste the most like sugar, they are not artificial chemicals, and they have zero calories. Anyway, these things are so awesome!!! I just popped about 6 of them. I couldn't help myself. But you are right. They are very filling. I will control myself in the future and just have one or two for dessert in the evening. Somebody mentioned that coconut oil is a saturated fat. That is correct. The jury is out as to whether it is more healthy than animal fat. The healthiest solution would probably be to just knead the cacao into the nut butter with the powders and some date sugar, honey, or monkfruit powder. Rolling small balls of that and freezing it would probably be very delicious without the saturated fat of the coconut oil. Nut butters are all high in unsaturated fats and are very healthy.
You were so right about not giving it to the kids, lol. I let my 14 year old son have some, and he started sharing them with his friends when they came over- and with a bunch of teenage boys, you can bet there weren’t any left. But this is better than what they usually eat - so since the recipe is easy- I showed my son how to make his own batch of these and he can brag to his friends that he made them himself. ❤️
Hi there - I just made these but had to substitute the Xylitol with Stevia. Added a tiny dash of vanilla (the good stuff not the cheap essence). Wow. Really impressed. Wonder how many a day would be too many.... as in laxative effect? Thoughts anyone?
I just made them. DELICIOUS! I added cacao nibs and chopped almonds for toppings. This recipe makes a lot. Will be sharing with my daughter and sisters. Thanks for the recipe.
Wonderful treat when you have a chocolate craving. I used a bit of stevia and a tiny dash of honey and my favorite protein powder and maca. So easy and very satisfying.
I just made a batch of this and LOVE, LOVE it!!! It was rather messy but I just took my finger, wiped up the spill and licked off. The silicone forms I used were fancy ones so going to get the ice cube ones so can make them somewhat smaller.... Thanks for sharing!!
Yum! I tried making these & they are delicious. I like that you said keep these away from your kids- I do & that makes them feel even more special since they're only for me lol.
Lakanto is great too, because it uses monk fruit with erythritol, which is better on the tummy than xylitol. Lakanto is in white, brown and powdered form. Reducing the dares with Lakanto, and a touch of stevia is awesome!
Alli Rimell Hi Alli, can I ask you if the coconut oil you use is already in liquid form, or do you melt it first in the microwave? It looks that the one Sh. uses is in liquid form, and the ones I see here in London are carrier oils. Thank you
@@laraxx3694 Hi Lara - Yes I use a cold-pressed Coconut Oil and melt in the microwave. I use Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 100% Organic from The Body Source. Hope this helps.
Finally made this this weekend. Love them, but I do have to keep them in the fridge or they start to melt. I’m in the states and it’s in the 80’s or higher right now. Love your channel.
These sound AMAZING!! I look forward to making them. You posted other sweeteners to use and one of them was maple syrup, but there was no mention on how much to put in!! I would like to try it with maple syrup, so was wondering how much to use? Thank you so much for sharing yourself and all your good healthy foods and other tips!
Like your tips however I've found xylitol to be very harsh for ones bladder. I learned this the hard way... same for aspartame and any other types of sweeteners, even the ones considered "natural", esp. the alcohol sweeteners like erythritol. I just pass on any sweeteners. I don't use sugar either. It's amazing how our taste buds will recover when not using anything. We CAN survive without sugar or sweeteners. I'd rather have a healthy bladder than eat sweetened foods that are harsh with added processed ingredients. For a treat I sometimes eat an after dinner snack of plain whole fat yogurt with a teaspoon of real maple syrup. I know that it is still sugar, but this allows me to feel I'm not totally depriving myself of a once in a while treat. Of course I eat some whole fruit for the fiber, but never fruit juice, which will jack up your blood sugar like candy. I follow JJ Virgin too who has taken sugar and sneaky sugar out of her diet and inspired me to do the same. If you're not familiar with her recipes, check her out on her web site. Thanks for your channel.
Ok I should've watched the whole video first. I used honey next time I'll use medjool dates. I thought I was using cacoa but it's Dutch process cocoa. Going to get the good stuff for next batch. This is really good, yummy. Thank you Schellea, sweets are a weak point for me.
Thankyou so much I can finally eat chocolate without it upsetting my stomach and they're so yummy. I recently found your channel and have been enjoying the exercises at home
Hi Arthuria and welcome to fabulous50s! Thank you for watching and leaving a lovely comment :) Its so perfect that your sister is going to do all the work for you! nice....I don't like stevia either...use Xylatol or maple syrup instead...so delicious. Have a wonderful week xx
I used date sugar. You can find it in the baking aisle of your natural food store. I made these the other day. The flavor is delicious. Just one is so satisfying. They must stay in the freezer. Unless I've done something wrong. Schellea, did you use cacao powder or cacao bits? I used the powder. I wonder if it would have held together better with the bits. Mine melt so quickly. I left one on the counter for a few minutes. It was a puddle by the time I got to it? :O
I love these chocolates and have made them a few times. I have been keto now for over year and six months. I don't eat bread, potatoes, pasta or rice or sugar, cakes etc and processed foods. I am counting carbs every day at the moment. This is all due to being diagnosed pre diabetic at the end of the pandemic. I made too much comfort food sadly. I totally reversed the pre diabetes. Hi Schellea, thank you for this, I will try this for sure! For me it will be monk fruit for sweetner. I like dark chocolate with orange zest or with sea salt, so I will definitely try your recipes with theses adding !

Hi Susan and a big welcome to fabulous50s! Thank you so much for watching and I happy that you enjoyed the video... More to come... Have a wonderful week xx
I have made a similar treat but I don't mix everything together. I pour some of the chocolate mixture into mold; freeze it, top with cashew butter then pour more chocolate mixture and back into the freezer. I want to try your recipe however, I can't have any alcohol sugars. I do have chocolate stevia drops I use. How many drops do you recommend? I may try the date paste as well. Thanks! Love your videos❤
I've made these many times now. They are gorgeous and make about three ice cube trays. My question, can you leave them in the freezer until you are ready to eat?
Hi Schellea, I'm loving your recipes. But, (if you know) I'm curious (for my daughter's sake) can this Better-Than-Chocotate be consumed while one is using a ketosis diet plan? Thanks for all you do and share for us "older generation" ladies!! 💖
I don't use coconut oil because of high saturated fats, I know their is controversy on that, but I'm trying to lower my cholesterol. So any alternative to the coconut oil? Thanks, love your video's.
These look delicious but i follow a whole food plant based diet that restricts all processed oils. I’m wondering if I can substitute with maybe more nut butter instead of the coconut oil.
I wonder what the total carb content for one would be? Also wouldn't that amount of xylitol produce a laxative effective if you ate more than one a day? Thanks for all you videos very much appreciated :)
Hi Tully! Yes, these are called fat bombs too...I'm quiet interested in the Ketogenic research and its good to know that you love it! Have a great day xx
Thanks for this recipe which I made last week. Delicious, and I actually happened to have quite a few of the ingredients already. Bought the silicon ice trays at the dollar store. Do you know how many calories are in each piece?
Hi! I'm new to the group and catching up on all these wonderful videos! I'd like to try this recipe but not a huge fan of coconut oil ... could I substitute olive oil or would that not give the same result? Wondering if anyone else has tried an oil, not satured, and how it turned out???
I made this recipe. I substituted the xylitol for dates feeling they would be a healthier option but instead of a pouring consistency like yours I ended up with a rather thick paste. Not sure if this was ideal as it was rather messy getting into ice cube trays. Any suggestions to make it more liquid?

I am wondering about this too - should they be eaten frozen or defrosted? ? In terms of being kind to your stomach.
What do you recommend for a man in he's 50s ? I love your video . Thank you for sharing.
Can we put cocnot sugar
Hi Schellea, I'm loving your recipes. But, (if you know) I'm curious (for my daughter's sake) can this Better-Than-Chocotate be consumed while one is using a ketosis diet plan?
Thanks for all you do and share for us "older generation" ladies!! 💖
Hi Schellea! If substituting xylitol with the date paste or syrup, how much do I use? Thank you
Can you give the measurement amount for the collagen and the macca powder? I did not hear it in the video :) Thanks
Hi Shelley, I do your chocolate recipe on a regular basis, I thinks it's great! Can you do a video on a healthy milk chocolate version too, please?
Thanks. Love your videos🌸
Hi Patty and a big welcome to fabulous50s! Thanks so much for watching 💕
What kind of macca powder do you use? Any certain brand
I don't use coconut oil because of high saturated fats, I know their is controversy on that, but I'm trying to lower my cholesterol. So any alternative to the coconut oil? Thanks, love your video's.
Question about raw cocoa butter vs raw cacao- which one to use? You speak about raw cacao but in the written recipe you wrote raw cocoa - thank you!
Where do we find the whole recipe? How much maca powder do we use?
Love your shirt in this - can you share it's full look or where you got it from?
These look delicious but i follow a whole food plant based diet that restricts all processed oils. I’m wondering if I can substitute with maybe more nut butter instead of the coconut oil.
I wonder what the total carb content for one would be? Also wouldn't that amount of xylitol produce a laxative effective if you ate more than one a day? Thanks for all you videos very much appreciated :)
I dont see a link with this particular brand of Xylitol, can I get that? I cant see the brand name. Looked on amazon and couldn’t find?
Mmmmmmm i make a simalar treat (fat bombs) i love that i have not had sugar in nearly two years ! I do ketogenic diet and love it.
Hi Tully! Yes, these are called fat bombs too...I'm quiet interested in the Ketogenic research and its good to know that you love it! Have a great day xx
Hi Shelly can yiu use sme in place of almond butter
Thanks for this recipe which I made last week. Delicious, and I actually happened to have quite a few of the ingredients already. Bought the silicon ice trays at the dollar store. Do you know how many calories are in each piece?
Hi! I'm new to the group and catching up on all these wonderful videos! I'd like to try this recipe but not a huge fan of coconut oil ... could I substitute olive oil or would that not give the same result? Wondering if anyone else has tried an oil, not satured, and how it turned out???
When I have coconut oil I get hi cholesterol. Apparently I'm part of a type that happens to.
Just a heads up for people trying it.
I made this recipe. I substituted the xylitol for dates feeling they would be a healthier option but instead of a pouring consistency like yours I ended up with a rather thick paste. Not sure if this was ideal as it was rather messy getting into ice cube trays. Any suggestions to make it more liquid?
Transaleted in indonesia language thanks
I’d love to find a silicone mold like that
Amazon
Dollar shops!
you didn't say how much collagen or maca powder, the amount.
