  • There are three distinct stages of porn recovery. In this video, Dr. Trish Leigh describes each stage and gives you the number one brain hack to move through the stages successfully. Check it out now.
About this Porn Reboot Channel: Hi. I am Dr. Trish Leigh, a Cognitive Neuroscientist. I am on a mission to help people heal their brains from porn use. My videos are designed to help you learn that:
Porn Damages Your Brain, Mental and Physical Health, and Destroys Your Relationships.
    1. Brain Shrinkage and Underactivity: It shrinks the size of your brain and decreases brain activity, among other damaging effects. It is true! I wish it wasn’t, but it is true.
    2. Porn is bad for your mental health. It creates more anxiety, depression, moodiness, irritability, anger, and more.
    3. Porn is proven to ruin your relationships. 2x as likely to break up and get divorced.
I would love for you to watch these videos to:
    • Understand how porn is negatively impacting your brain, health, and life.
    • How to stop watching porn, which can be difficult due to its addictive nature.
    • How to heal your brain from porn use.
Every video has a strategy for you to use in your Porn Brain Reboot journey. So… watch the videos until the END and start using the techniques to help you succeed. You can do it with the right tools and support. That is why I am here. Go for it!
    Want More Help?
I am here for you in more ways than just this channel. I have created 3 programs in 3 different levels to provide you with the support that you need at a price you can afford.
    Check out the programs below.

    Sign up now.
As part of my mission, I have created a nonprofit organization Porn Brain reboot so that all of your program purchases are a donation to the cause. I want to help you personally, and the world globally, to leave porn behind and heal your brain.

I'm at three weeks now. That's the longest I've ever gone. I'm still fighting the hijacker, but Dr. Trish's videos are my personal antidote. When I have the urge, I turn on a video. It's actually helping in not just porn, but my desire to overstimulate my brain with the Internet, e.g., looking at stuff I'll never buy, browsing friends' garbage on FB. I even deleted my IG account, just because it's a waste of time

Stage 1 of porn recovery: you will get insomnia and you get triggered very easily. You get easily angry.
Stage 2 of porn recovery: habit replacement - in 3 areas -> Work, relationships and hobby
Stage 3 of porn recovery: your brain will tell you that you have self-control and you got this as since you did nofap for so long, you should be able to control yourself if you watch a little porn. Do not fall into this trap!
    Hope this helps!

Yeah It seems a little cliche for childhood trauma to be the root cause for everyone. Like for me, it was just a friend showed me it and then once the internet was more accessible, through curiosity and boredom, I would search for it every once and a while. But it didnt become a recognizable issue until years later where it became a habit. As a boy going through puberty, if you have the opportunity to see a naked girl, you take it. Doesnt have to be a deep reason

And right now I can’t even keep a relationship because they all left few days after noticing that I can’t perform or worse losing my erection while having sex. This has been eating me up and many time I got depressed from not being able to perform and from rejection. I’m 2 weeks already on the process to change it but at this stage I don’t even feel anything, no morning erection, no sex drive, I just feel nothing.

The flatlining of sexual desire is completely normal. Just like erectile dysfunction caused by internet pornography is common.
Remind yourself that this has all been caused by one thing and one thing only; porn consumption!
If you are able to break free eventually your body WILL return to normal.
In fact, you'll probably end up a beast in the bedroom, but it takes time.
Because of the way you've conditioned your brain you have to rewire it, just like she said.
Make a decision to eventually Focus all of your sexual energy on your partner, whenever you get her.🎉

Unfortunately, I was neglected a bit as a child too. I hadn’t confided in anyone about being sexually abused growing up, and found porn way too young. I’m thankful so many have done study and recovery from porn addiction, as this is one of the many afflictions that have affected my family. It’s so damaging much like any other addiction. My heart goes out to others working to be porn free in life, it’s so worthy a cause.

    Thank you for the video.
When the desire to use PMO arises, it's because my brain has become hijacked.
Stage 1 - Poor performance at work and being disengaged with family and friends. Anger, shame, frustration and other negative emotions are rife here. Connect with life and avoid isolation.
Anxiety leads us to PMO as a way to calm down.
Depression leads us to PMO as a form of stimulation.
Create the routine and live to it with the discipline of a Roman Centurion. Do what's necessary to avoid the danger zones.
Stage 2 - Engage in activities surrounding health, wealth and relationships.
Learn how to respond to the hijacker and urges using a pivot plan.
Being tired in the evening, working late and not having a full evening meal leads to junk food which is a que for PMO.
Too much tech late at night is a que for PMO.
Stage 3 - If we haven't acted out physically for a prolonged period, how are our mental thoughts in relation to PMO use?
Keep living the correct life by making the right decisions to repair the brain.
Love and Peace from the UK!

I found a way that will keep me vigilant and motivated while I'm recovering, I wrote a bunch of motivating reminders on sticky notes throughout my living room. So because I work from home, anywhere I go I will always run into one of the stickies, and if I get tempted, I'll have that reminder right in front of me. One of my problems isn't getting motivated, it's STAYING motivated. I forget that I am still in a battle. This is one of many things at my disposal. Just wanted to share, and cheers to everyone in their battle against porn. It really is possible if you believe it is.

It sounds like you're just beginning this fight. The idea that you have to remind yourself you are STILL in a battle isn't going anywhere my brother.
I'm 3 years in and I'm still faced with forgetting that I'm in a fight for my life.
The brain naturally wants to move on, but your addiction hasn't gone anywhere.
It's taken me many slip-ups and full on reversals to be reminded that this doesn't really go anywhere.
Just like any other addiction, if you pick up again you'll start right back up where you stopped.

I've been having tons of issues at work for the past 3 years and realizing that the return of this habit is playing a big role. I can barely even motivate myself to show up most days and am always late...but somehow I always find time for porn. It is like that urgency switches off in my brain and only responds to the "holy, im gonna be 15 minutes late i gotta go to work, signal".
In college I always showed up early and was motivated to try to be the best, but then again in college I did NoFap all of the time and had a 6+ month streak going on at one point.
