We show you everything from removal to installation in this complete DIY guide on how to upgrade your Mazda BT50 stereo. Note that this kit can replace both the nav and non nav version but BT50 vehicles with a original touch screen require the top panel hole to be filled.

Used this to do my BT50 today, video is spot on and very informative 👌 just remember to delete your phone Bluetooth off the old unit otherwise it will continue to pair with the old unit every time you turn your car on 🤘
Any way to fix this without re installing the old radio and deleting the Bluetooth connection? I’m having this problem. Thanks

I ordered one of these and fitted it last week. Mine was a 2014 XTR so had the factory GPS already, so a few extra cables not shown on this video. The fit went quite well, very neat outcome. Certainly better looking and more modern than the standard setup. Still working out how to operate the Kenwood 8019s but all in all, worthwhile.

Hey mate not sure if you still browse youtube, but what did you do with the extra connectors for the top screen? I have a pink one and black one along with the blue gps one. I have a 2014 XTR as well. Unless I was sent a different harness.
@@l2andom G'day bloke; the top screen actually crapped out very shortly after installing the new head unit, as is common on this model. So the various connectors are just sitting in there living their best life... I looked at installing a Garmin GPS in the slot where the old screen is but really not much point when the head unit has CarPlay. Instead I installed a ScanGauge II in front of the dead screen. I reckon the new ScanGauge III would just about fit perfectly in the slot where the dead screen is, just can't be arsed changing it.

hey mate ive got the 2014 model with the gps already in the top screen will this still work for that set up?
What do you do if i have a polaris system in my 2015 bt50? The video says 2012 on but i feel like is should say 2012-14? My unit has no hole up the top
If you already have a reverse camera in the rear vision mirror does it still work. I’m sure it would or do you have to buy the the extra camera option
is there kits for the 2013 nav system can we have a bit of an explanation on why it wont work and can i purchase a second hand screen without the slot for the memory card and then just plug and play?
Just note when you're running cords down the A pillar, depending on your model you may have airbags in that area. I don't know if the later Mazdas do? But my 2015 subaru outback does, and when I went to run a cord down the A pillar connecting to my dashcam a friend of mine reminded me that if I have a crash that A pillar will need to come out, and the airbag will need to inflate.... You don't want any kind of cords obstructing airbags. In my case I could've copped a bruise to a passengers face, but if you've got a cord that's actually wired in somewhere hard it could make the airbag not come at all.
Of course, if there's no airbags in the later models then disregard this.

I've wired up my reverse camera like you demonstrated but it doesn't automatically switch to the camera when I put the car in reverse. I get a video signal when its in reverse and I manually switch to the camera.. any ideas? Kenwood DMX9720XDS and Gator G55CL
a little help here please, fitting new head deck on a 2016 Freestyle. All good with wiring except that there is NO accessories +12v to be found anywhere. Not in the dash, not in the old wiring loom, not in the dash fusebox nor engine bay fusebox. I have connection otherwise. Going mad trying to find this elusive power tap. ANY help here appreciated.

Hi, is melting the usb surround in the glovebox the prefered method over cutting the usb cords plastic as with the PX ranger mk1?
Depends on situation some of the USB plastics in the car are too narrow as opposed to wide so sometimes widening the car part works. Others we try to just clip the cable. Both work neatly.
yeah, they sound good but if you have a problem or ask them a question, they go missing, they charge heaps for their prepared looms but don't have after sales service.
Hey mate. Nice info, but why does this not apply to vehicles with satnav? I don't use it anyway, can I just apply the same theory to my piece of crap as well?
I would suggest a Dremel or similiar to neatly cut the plastic dash parts

The problem is with the glow plugs, the system lights up fine, everything works fine, but when the car starts up and is stable, the glow plugs light up again and it's burning them almost weekly. So I can't find what to do The local mechanics. They tell me to change spark plugs every so often and I don't understand.

I’ve installed this kit in my 2014 mazda bt50 and followed everything in the video except the top screen hasn’t reset into the date and time only. (it’s still displaying the old radio and settings that come standard with the old stereo), I’m confused as to why mine didn’t change, can you please help me? 🙏🏼

What’s different between the gps unit and non gps
The GPS models have Garmin built in the NON-GPS version use Apple CarPlay & Android Auto to navigate.
What size speakers are in the dual cabs cheers

What if you have a 5' screen with navigation for ranger.
Ranger is different kit see our PX1 Ranger video.
CarbonCarSystems saw the video but all the fascia kits are for 4.2' non nav models but still can use it but covers more of the screen I suppose.
it just covers more of the screen but you can disconnect the screen also and just let it be dark as the parking sensors still work and all the info you need will be on the new unit anyway.
Thanks for the video. I installed myself and the head unit is not turning on. Found that the red feed cable(acc+) is not sending signal. What should I do?
When you change the radio, where you hear the beep sound of the rear parking sensor?
Had the same trouble. Installed a new unit but I lost the parking beep. I took my car to two separate repair shops and they couldnt fix it
I fixing it, you need buy a special adapter to hear the beep code
