Hi. I know this is an old video - but I hoped it would work on a current model Kenwood DMX7522S. It doesn’t at all. I can’t get that secret screen up. Any ideas how I might change the boot / start screen image.

I see in the description that kenwood put out a solution, but does Pioneer have one? Just got a brand new unit, dmh-w3000nex, and I'd rather not have to try and figure out where the vss wire is and tap into my factory wiring if I don't have to.

Handy tip you do not need to remove anything but the glove box when plugging wiring into back of head unit will save you the hassle of ripping the dash apart for no good reason

Forward 2024 bought a 2016 XV Crosstrek, North America model. It is a lot more difficult to remove the factory radio. There's 2 cables for the climate control unit that need to be Disengage from the back. Don't understand why the US Subaru crosstrek be easy to just unplug a harness like the Australian Subarucrosstrek. model.

I bought one of these "nice" kenwood radios for my corolla and this thing is a nightmare to get set up, I just went and ordered the stock radio which only needs to be plugged in.

And its still the wrong facia... sigh
