  • According to market research, WooCommerce has the largest market share of any shopping cart in the world. And it’s popular for 3 main reasons.
    One, WooCommerce is built on top of the most popular website builder in the world, WordPress.
    Two, it has a huge developer community with lots of 3rd party support.
    And most importantly, it’s “free” to use.
    But is it really free? In this video, we’re going to break down these costs and give you an accurate assessment of how much it will cost you to run a basic WooCommerce store.

      @Delana Taylor Online That is absolutely correct. Most people aren't aware of the other costs that are required to start a store. Technically, woo commerce is free but you need other things to sell effectively

      @Delana Taylor Online There are many shades of gray with the word free which is why it needed to be explained. Woo commerce is free but it takes money to run a woocommerce store. Best of luck to you

      For building a store you don't need to have products right of the bat. You can upload some pictures and fake products to test how the website works first.
      And it depends on what you want to sell. If you wanna sell Print on Demand or Dropshipping products, then you Don't need to have them in your house, ship them yourself, etc.
      But if you make your own products, hand-made stuff, or you're buying from a wholesale supplier to retail, then you need to have the info of the products, pictures, etc. And you'll need to ship them yourself.

    • @Mamika_AFK
      @Mamika_AFK Před rokem +1

      What do u mean by not having products?
      If you plan to make products according to the buyer's description, then you can post it as services that people can buy in your website... of course, showing off some already made products may increase your sales.
      But if you wanna do Dropshipping you can. Just post the products in your website, buy them from the provider once the order in your store has been placed, etc.

    • @moonutella5581
      @moonutella5581 Před rokem +1

      But that's on the higher end, it can be as low as $3

    • @Mamika_AFK
      @Mamika_AFK Před rokem +4

      It's $200 because they bought products from a wholesale supplier to sell on the store.
      But you can literally start with $3 - $5, if you're selling digital products, Dropshipping, or Print on Demand. Don't get discouraged, just try it! 👍

    • @cc_snipergirl
      @cc_snipergirl Před rokem +2

      Honestly, $200 is a steal. If you hire someone to build an ecommerce site for you, it can go up to $10,000+ very fast depending on what you need it to do and how it's being built. If you're looking at building a store, it should be making that $200 back for you very quickly.

    • @Mamika_AFK
      @Mamika_AFK Před rokem +3

      @@cc_snipergirl Exactly, you will be making that money back fast if u succeed.
      But for someone just starting in ecommerce, opening a store with the lowest money possible is the best cuz after all, they don't know if the products will sell... so it's better not to waste a lot of money when you're not sure or still experimenting. Having the option to start small is so good 😄

    • @Mamika_AFK
      @Mamika_AFK Před rokem

      @@mywifequitherjob exactly, the less plug-ins you need, the cheaper.
