There was already at least one Jalen/Jaylen on almost every team. Even Toronto has Jalen Harris and the Pacers have Jalen Smith. The Hawks have Jalen Johnson. Orlando with Jalen Suggs. mavericks with Jalen Brunson. Jaylen Brown on Boston, Jalen Green on Houston. Jaylen Nowell on Minnesota, Jalen McDaniels on Charlotte and more that I can’t even think of 😂😂😂 now Jalen Duren, Jalen Williams and Jaylin Williams and Jaylen Hoard.

Knicks, Cowboys, and Maple Leafs have A LOT in common.. Most expensive team in their league; biggest fanbase in their league; their city can be seen as the mecca of their sport; they get loads of media attention even if they suck; and it's been decades since they had playoff success. My theory: The ownership isn't really pressed on winning games because the business makes great money overall at the end of the day, and losing games won't really hurt their pockets
couple of things that are not very fair. biggest fanbase in the nba outside of the us are the lakers. i lived in asia, mosty in china for many years, the lakers are the team. the no.1 fan bases and the meccas of their sport are montreal for hockey and green bay for football. both teams only have one pro sport team, and they all breathe hockey and football. and of course they are the most historical and successful teams in the history of their sport. i dont know that much about finances, but montreal has been bad for 30 years. it comes from the top, poor management, choosing dumb old legends that doesnt know how to build a team.
I think that's being kind, they all just kinda suck even when trying. Also, most other major markets have periodic success so a bit of an insult to them

The people who own the Leafs do care about winning the championship. I think it’s actually easier for them to commit to winning since they are already completely financially stable. They are 100% focused on winning the Stanley Cup just the Leafs keep failing in round 1 no matter how good they are on paper.

I’m almost 22, the cowboys have been in the playoffs a ton in my life. They’re relevant The Knicks have won 1 playoff series since I was born. It’s not close. Knicks are more like the Lions than the Cowboys
I'm 30, the Cowgirls haven't actually been relevant and have had the far better roster comparatively so they should make the playoffs of the two, if anything coming up shorter for what they have. Knicks are the Jets and Cowboys are the Dolphins, they both did something decades ago and haven't mattered much since outside of having to plant flags in regular season triumphs and a year or two here and there. In the end they both suck quite a lot

Love how Steven A expresses exactly how I feel about the Knicks as a fellow NYK fan. It is bad enough we have the title drought, but even more so frustrating that the franchise has such an unstable and inept culture thanks largely to ownership that no free agents want any part of NY and they have not even come close to building a consistent winner/playoff contender again even at least like in the 90s. And every draft night as a Knicks fan is like kids in Nightmare on Elm St falling asleep. It just feels inevitable that bad things will happen. There’s rebuilding teams who have a solid plan and within 3-5 years of being bad are back to being contenders and then there’s the Knicks who make you feel like you’re in the White Witch’s Narnia: Always winter, never Christmas.

This upcoming season is only for solidifying reasons to keep or fire Thibs, get Randle back on track to trade him, get cap space and position for Free Agency and high draft picks in 2023 Draft...looks like I was right. This upcoming season is a Sabbatical year for KNICKS fans to rest our weary minds and hearts and come back stronger for the following season. GO KNICKS!!!
The best way to do that would be to be like a Jets fan, where you accept they suck and let yourself be pleasantly surprised when they don't.
