I don't think you want to use a tampon to stop bleeding. Tampons encourage bleeding by drawing fluids via the capillary effect. Bandages are designed to STOP bleeding via pressure combined with a dry matrix to encourage clotting, not just to absorb blood.
I think they're meant to be used for deep puncture/gunshot wounds. Plug the hole emergency style. But yea probably better things out there to be used

I once read that the playable version of RE 1.5 that is floating around on the internet is not the 80% variant. It is based on an even earlier version that was found once. Still, it's a good job that the fans have done.

Does anyone else feel that this version of resident evil 2 feels waaaaay more 90s than the one we got?
Man I hope we'll get the completed version of this one day. I mean 80%. Having the Typewriter and Item Boxes and a lot more.

I vividly remember seeing screenshots of this version in EGM and being so excited.
I remember seeing gameplay footage on a Playstation Underground disc in '97 and I was pissed when they delayed it but it was worth it. I'm still trying to figure out how to set up 1.5 on PC.
Like so many others, I would love for this to be completed and released for sale. Voice acting, fmv sequences and all; a 100% video game. However, we really did get a superior game back in '98. For me it's mostly the atmosphere. While I really like the overall size of the RPD in 1.5, it doesn't capture the foreboding of what we've been enjoying for 24 years. The environment feels too sterile to be scary. In RE2 the RPD is as creepy as the mansion and groundskeeper's quarters were. Of course, playing the game yourself is probably a different perspective.
The best parts of 1.5, for me, is the amount of NPCs and the expansiveness of both the RPD and the Umbrella lab. The RPD seems big in RE2 but in reality it's not much bigger the the mansion, especially when compared to their remakes. I'm glad the lab got expanded in RE2 remake, and having the lab from 1.5 added to RE2 would be awesome. I always felt that area was a little short.

I was surprised by how much I love this version of the RPD. I had a lot of fun exploring and looking at stuff. 😍But that fire extinguisher part JFC!!! Took me a good 5 mins of angrily running around and clicking to figure it out. 🤣
To be fair, this RE 1.5 is a fan patched version of a leaked recreation based on a 30-40% build of an unfinished game. I think half of the rooms where stitched together from screenshots, trailers and unfinished code. Even the "finished" rooms where not linked together properly so a large part of guesswork was needed (and still is since some fans are still patching this version)!
I think I'm going to wait for either Team IGAS (the original recreation team) to release whatever they been working on all this years or for when MartinBiohazard's fan-patches becomes a more "finished" experience :p

IMO could have been used for a spinoff, but I suspect some ideas were used in outbreak for example.
I'm curious as to why they removed so many realistic rooms like the firing range and the bathrooms in the final version..
they added both in the remake at least but yeah it is weird to add realistic touches like that in the og

You mention that the cutscenes weren’t completed for Resident Evil 1.5, I remember chatting with some community members a long time ago and they said according to their sources, all the cutscenes and or the FMV’s ( full motion videos) were completed for the game. Elza’s game was more complete, but Leon’s had more missing things like textured stuff in the background images like walls etc.

Something I would of found cool for Something like this and what I would of actually done, the player damage, would actually effect the game, like, you have say 4 stages of damage, gameplay wise means nothing, but at the end of the game it gives you different endings, example, you go through the game, save everyone and receive no damage, you get the best end, however if you save everyone and have reseved full damage, then you get a cut scene where your player dies before the escape

Whenever there’s discussion of difficult games, my dad always brings up that one. He says he and his friends couldn’t get past the first level without using cheats to skip to other levels. Is it really that bad?
@@HiBuddyyyyyy Yes it was hard. When I was a child I couldn’t get past the 2nd level. I used to play it in coop mode with my brother over LAN. In this mode you could select every level of the game freely and mow through hordes of enemies together.

About Tifa and the Italian flag, before I start watching the vidéo : When was this version of 1.5 released ? Maybe this has something to do with what happened recently in Italy. Some politicians were having a meeting on zoom when suddenly someone hacked it and broadcasted a porn starring Tifa. + I think it was something related with the parliament but I'm not sure as I am not Italian.

Watching this really creeps me out. Like I'm seeing something I shouldn't. Also it's so strange to see all the idea's they had to make the game more gritty (blood on clothes, blood on face! Holy shit) and just the general atmosphere of dread. All of that just left to the side so they could make the more 'James Cameron' action movie style of the released version. Not saying it was the wrong thing to do, some of the ideas would have clashed a lot with the tone they set with RE2 but it's so interesting to see them here.
