I'm not even a United fan but the amount of people saying it's time for someone else to dominate English football now and united are being selfish. What if this was your club? Would you be happy to settle for FA cup once every few years after contending for UCL for 15-20 years. Course not. They're not being selfish they want to continue the success of their club. Just like any other club.

Puzaldinho the problem is, they aren't spending that money well enough. They're throwing world record deals for players who play average during games, and constantly fail to strengthen weak areas but opt to splash money on other areas. It's Jose's fault imo, because Pogba would be class if he didn't play in such a defensive minded team, and he asks the board to strengthen positions that are good already (eg: Martial was in brilliant form yet he bought Sanchez)

One of the most true things about our, management I heard was during the FA cup semi-final. The commentator said that, LVG is more concerned about how the opposition will be playing rather than focus on our own game. That is always reflected in his tactics. He wants to control the game and that is why we don't see much of classic United attacking football. We have pace on the wings with our wingers and full-backs and the distributors at the heart with Carrick, Rooney, Mata, Schneiderlin, etc. These are perfect set of players with whom we can play counter-attacking football. Other issues have been injuries and confidence.

+Mark K what are you talking about entitled? A club that has a certain standard and expects to at least meet it is not entitled. Man U has been challenging for the premier league and champions league (and winning) for the past 23 years. To say okay it was a good run its okay now is absolutely ridiculous. This club is made for success. Winning is in the bloodline of it. And I will always expect my great club to be challenging for that premier League title. And to at least make it to the quarter finals of the Champions league. There is nothing entitled about it. It is an expectation and a standard. One that is expected to be met by the players, the managers, the board, the staff, and the fans. How foolish and bland and ignorant of a statement to make. Thats like saying wow Barcelona fans are so entitled to always expect to win the league...No mate, look at the reality.

I'm a United fan, and I think our fanbase is an absolute disgrace for what they've done these last 3 seasons. No manager in the world would survive succeeding Fergie, in the end it was Moyes who got the stick for it.
As for Van Gaal, he is the most underrated manager in the league. He's 5th and in the FA Cup final with basically an academy team. How the fuck is that not good? Our fanbase have been spoiled for too fucking long. I remember when we lost to City 6-1 and a bunch of our 'fans' wanted Ferguson out. That's all you need to know about these fakers.
There is no quick fix. Everyone tries and everyone fails. The only reason United dominated England for so long was because they stuck with their manager through thick and thin while every other team sacked managers willy nilly. Stop fucking whining about everything and maybe our players might actually have some motivation to play, because I really doubt they want to play for people who constantly abuse them.

To be honest, it's actually better to see the Premier League this season. I mean, we have teams outside of the Top 5 actually becoming title contenders. We have Chelsea and Liverpool struggling in midtable, big spenders like the Manchesters flopping, and legit title challenges from Leicester, Tottenham and West Ham. Fuck Financial Fair Play, we need the league to become more balanced, where the results year by year are more unexpected.

Great video. We have to accept that Fergie is a one-off. We can joke at how Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona changes manager so often but that's what we need to do, the club comes first, not the manager. IMHO, there are only 2 options to be successful in modern football.
    1. Keeping changing manager until the club is successful again (Wenger certainly disagrees)
    2. Buy the absolute best players (Messi, Suarez, Neymar in Barca? You really think Luiz Enrique is better than Ryan Giggs as manager?)
    OR

I don't know Giggs has the ability to make it as a manger and I think he would of benefited managing a under 19s side or some sort of team before making the jump. Saying that, I think Giggs is a better option than Mourinho, he will definitely have the dressing room support and spent most career playing under the greatest mangers of all time. I know that Zidane was long shot when we sacked Benitez but he seems to have done the business so far. And if that doesn't work, you could always give Gary Neville a ring ; )

I don't see it as destroying at all. I see it as rebuilding. Let's face the truth even the title winning side in 2013 wasn't as good as madrid or barca. moyes didn't invest in it and it cost him is job (this is also woodwards mistake but anyway) lvg has done that and now we have younger and more hungry players than before. Lvg isn't the best long term manager but he is a manager that knows how to build teams. as example bayern. ever since he left they have been very succesfull. That doesn't mean it is the same here in England but the talent he has brought is promising. Martial is only 20, fosu 18, cbj 18, memphis 22, lingard 23, rashford 18 and go on like that. If we get the right manager when lvg leaves we will hopefully have a bright future.

Every club goes through this some last more than others for example Liverpool, A.C Milan etc but you need to support the club through and through. I've been a United fan here in the states since 2006 right when Ronaldo was up and coming. Although it is frustrating watching them play football the way they are I am convinced that all it takes is a new manager to come implement the attacking style that United fans are used to. Mourinho is not the most attack oriented manager but he is a winner and I like that. Even in the bad times I'll support MUFC.

They win trophies on a regular basis with their 12th 13th and 14th (The officials) man persistently giving them all the dodgy decisions. Look at the recent "Penalty" v Swansea, the disallowed goal of Southampton in the League cup final, the sending off of a West Ham player for nothing and allowing a yards offside goal to stand by that Ibrahimovich in the same game. It is virtually a weekly occurrence.

United were not the biggest club in the world before Fergie came along. Fergie was an insanely good manager and one in a lifetime type of a manager. It is only natural for a team to drop when a manager of that caliber
retires. United fans have unrealistic expectations thanks to what Fergie did while he managed that club.

Madridista here and Mourinhista here. Man Utd made a good choice by hiring Mou. With him it's not a matter of "if" but rather "when" the titles come. BUT with Man Utd's history, philosophy in mind I think Pochettino would have been a better choice. Perhaps the next in line after Mou.
