There are 2 versions of CRT.
    1. Culturally Responsive Teaching. Basically teaching without cultural bias, providing a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students. Why would we ban this?
    2. Cultural Race Theory, a graduate level law class, never taught in K-12, never proposed to teach in K-12. When we started learning about the Tulsa Greenwood massacre, Red Summer, Emmit Till, and more atrocities committed in our own country, when Derek Chauvin was convicted of murdering George Floyd, the racists got scared. They decided to erase all history related to racism and Civil Rights. They often use the word "abomination." Here they have illustrated it. Whitewashing history is an abomination.

The prices for these books are out of control. They are also trash. My daughters English class was using CRT examples of the power structure in society to discuss a book that had nothing to do with racism or power structures. The example was showing a poor black man outside the circle of power. In thecenter was a rich white male. This doesn't help anyone. Instead of encouraging the poor black kids we are essentially destroying their spirit. As a father of a mixed race child, I despise anyone telling my kids they are powerless. When reading the worksheet I literally laughed at the stupidity of it. So yeah, it is a problem. Anti racist CRT is literally ensuring racism stays alive.

If the actual "crt" stuff is in those books, you'll find that the dynamic is actually the opposite. Not sure if that is the case here (the books are apparently proprietary, which is the reason they give for witholding examples), but there *is* a movement to make math curricula more open-ended to allow students that teachers deem to be "smart" to pass even if they get it wrong. (This is proposed specifically for "equity" purposes.)
More likely, most of that 41% is due to the "common core" issue they mentioned or the fact that they just aren't course appropriate for Florida's needs. (The list of rejected books includes this as a reason.)

As someone who recently attended Florida schools: I can tell you that I have never encountered anything CRT related. I will tell you though, that there are real problems with our school system which is a shitshow. CRT is not a problem at all. I will say it again: CRT is not a problem in Florida schools. Terrible administrators, lack of proper funding, terrible schedules, poor treatment of teachers, teaching useless classes, focusing on heavy testing with no learning, no prep for careers, rampant drug use, lack of care for students’ mental and physical health, terrible food, etc. Those were just a few. Banning CRT is at worst, a distraction to give Florida gov a reason not to fix the schools, or at best, a completely misguided attempt to “fix” the schools.
It is one thing to believe that solving one problem will magically fix everything. It’s another to believe solving a nonexistent problem will somehow count as doing something. Florida gov didn’t fix anything, they just made things unnecessarily worse and confusing.

I honestly don't blame them too much, because for once air travel was accessible to them because of ticket prices and they probably had family members they hadn't seen in years.
But inexperience means they don't realize I'm not the waitress. I'm always nice, but I'm required to secure the cabin, including being sure people had masks over their noses, and since they didn't realize they *had to* comply, they would use intimidation to get me to back down. And I was intimidated. I trembled when I had to address someone's mask because I didn't know how far they would go.

Little did they know that I called their parts department earlier that day and asked the price of the oil, and they were tacking on another $5+/qt of oil when getting that oil through the service department. I told the guy that I refused to be price gouged because they decide to hike the pricing in the name of inflation, just because they can. I ended up escaping there paying the original price.

The result was obviously going to be a circle, tilted, which i had to define using the correct equation in 3D space, and i had to do it by hand. Calculator only for basic operations. Turns out you only need to equate the two equations, and then wrestle them down correctly using algebra, because for the intersecting circle you only need all the points for which both equations are correct. Eventually it collapses down to the circle equation you need.
