- PGMOL Chief Howard Webb has claimed that Nottingham Forest deserved just one penalty during their 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park, a Premier League fixture that was marred by three blatant fouls in the box courtesy of Ashley Young. Following the game, Nottingham Forest's twitter account alleged that the man in charge of VAR, Stuart Attwell, is a Luton Town fan, and hence corruption may very well have been at play. This video details how the PGMOL, referees, and Howard Webb attempt to gaslight supporters into believing their false narrative, and why their antics are ruining the Premier League as we know it.

Well said! The worst part is the only reason this is getting the media coverage it deserves is because of the statement made by Forest - all season this has happened, but smaller clubs have to make their own fan fare for a fair reflection & then pay a fine for the privilege

Another great piece Uti. Webb's description was of the incident was bizarre to me. But what I found was more extraordinary was the actual audio. Both the ref and AR both say he played the ball and Atwell NEVER corrects them on that. Young never touched the ball and that fact should have been relayed to the ref. Particularly since Taylor made such a big deal actually shouting he got the ball. When Atwell says, "there's a mutual coming together before the ball is played", it seems he has deliberately left out who has touched the ball. This could easily be construed as deliberately misleading the ref. Shocking stuff.

Well said and well done Uti, also how can One player the same player being involved in all three incidents and NOT RECEIVE ANY CARD 🙄😳🤯😱.The handball Ok penalty but no card BUT the other two, Any other match and any other player involved in two incidents like that would have ended up with at least a yellow card. EVERYONE has seem to let that slide or forgotten.Then post match he's smiling and laughing about it 😠😤😡. How comes he is not even being penalized for that attitude😮

Yes Uti, love this vid mate.Saying it like it is. Refereeing and VAR really is at an all time low, why is that? We used to have contentious decisions a few years back, but honestly don't remember it being discussed so often and to this level as it has last couple of years or so. Clubs need to take a stand together, not just Forest, something has to be done if the Premier League aren't going to act or the spineless PGMOL to categorically make things better.

Nicely put Uti, I honestly couldn't have put it more succinctly myself! Forest are now facing a heavy fine for being honest and asking well in advance for a change in the VAR because of his affinity for Luton Town which is surely and most obviously a conflict of interests? How on earth can it not be if he is indeed a Luton Fan then these Refs should be moved to other matches that aren't involving any team involved in the relegation battle, or if they are fans of a team in the battle to be champions then they should also not be refereeing any team involved in that battle either!

Spot on Uti. Absolute garbage trotted out by Webb. For amusement (because that what the PL has become now - a tragic comedy starring the man in black as the lead actors - i.e. someone who pretends for a living), having learned Webb was saying Forest should have had one penalty, albeit it came out as 'war and peace' statement, I though to myself - it'll be the stonewall handball incident - obviously. Obviously wrong! Nothing to see there if you're a PGMOL official - FFS!
PGMOL have turned the game into one of those dodgy 'three cup, where the ball' scams and there was me thinking it's a rules based game. It is indeed turning into a scam. I'm not even bothered now if we end up back in the Championship, though obviously it'll be a disaster for the club and it's people.
At least the Championship feels as though it's a proper competition!

I know it's neigh on impossible, but what if any referee that is a supporter of a premier league team is not allowed to referee in the premier league.

Games a mess. Premier Title means nothing. VAR is a ridiculous system. All they needed was a pitch side monitor and each captain given 2 or 3 appeals each but only for penalties and Red cards. Then the Ref goes to the monitor to check his decision. Offside to be decided by technology. Refs are making terrible errors and nothing happens.

The penalties have been to a panel. First 2 are subjective, all saying first one isn’t enough contact…. Because they increased the threshold. Which is a very stupid thing to do mid season.
2nd one had a majority saying it was a penalty, but all 5 said it wasn’t clear and obvious to overturn the on field decision.
The panel made up of three former players and/or coaches, plus one representative each from the Premier League and PGMOL. Meaning as long as the premier league and PGMOL back each other up, they can always get the decision they want. (As clear and obvious is described as an 8/10 people would fine fault)
We agree - the panel members from the Prem and PGMOL were unlikely to go against the decisions made by their colleagues. I feel there were two penalties, and the Rayna call for a pen. would have been a bit harsh (Although it would have likely been given to Man City etc)
V, A, R, now the BIG sports channels ie sky can determine the results of every game, Six or seven teams fighting for top spots maybe 10 fighting for places in Europe and at least six fighting relegation all happening since VAR was introduced

In the last 2 months just look at all the infringements in the penalty areas in the premiership. Then look at all the infringements in the lower divisions, and then Scotland ,oh and then in Europe. Now tell me that the 3 incidents for penalty claims could not be substantiated.
It just adds weight to the whole idea of scrapping VAR. Before you jump on my back and say it is the officials, not VAR, you are correct, but Sweden stopped using it so follow their example.
I can’t see them scrapping VAR. It was introduced to make it easier to get the desired results and I am sure they are very happy with the way that it is working.
