Today we go thrift shopping in Albany Oregon at a wonderful Goodwill and St. Vincent De Paul thrift store, then head to one of our very favorite antique malls to search for vintage home decor.

Same here, but sometimes I use a single edge razor blade window scraper if the hair drier doesn't work
Hair dryer on low. Works to get labels off boxes, books...things you don't want to use Goo Gone on. I use the chemicals sparingly.

OMG! I had to pause the video here. That vintage Barbizon nightgown is beautiful! My mom only wore Barbizon ...she's been gone since 1987 and every time I see them my heart aches.. My mom and I used to have fun shopping together like you two. Every time I see a black and white striped top I think of your mom. Saw a few yesterday at the thrift store near me.

It's a Jenny Lind bed. Get stickers off with cotton balls dipped in alcohol. Not toilet paper, not qtips, not paper towels, it only works with cotton balls for some strange reason. I had a swan chair YEARS ago.

I found an entire set of cabbage dishes on vacation one year. Only gave about $40 for the whole set. Now, I've found a footed cabbage tray with carrots on it and a small dish with a bunny.

The doll clothes talk brought back a sad memory for me.
We were a young couple always looking for a nicer house or moving because of a better job opportunity. I think we'd been married 4 yrs and moved 4 times. We had an offer of help moving on a weekend. In the hustle and bustle of rush due to too many helpers, plus a snow storm I left my mid-1950s, full size Madam Alexander bride doll with full wardrobe in the top of a closet. When I got back to pick up a few odds and ends she was gone. That was in the late 1960s, and I'm still mad at myself. Someone was watching... There was no point in mentioning it, we had left the house unlocked thinking no one would bother an empty house. 🥲😌🫤
My mom had a bride doll she was married in 1961 than a long came me ,and being the kind of mom she was gave her to me to play with ...don't know whatever happened to her beautiful bride dolly But imagine I left her some where 🤔She also let my sissy and me play in her wedding dresses and gowns,shoes (back than they never had all the stuff kids today have) she passed afew yrs ago but the memories I have are so wonderful ❣️Best Mom😇 ever❣️😘💞😍💖🙏

Sanitizer is the number one thing that I actually use to get off Goodwill stickers. If the whole sticker doesn’t come off of paper, it also helps remove the ink from the sticker. 🦋🌿

I love watching you and your mom. You have such a great relationship. My mom was my best friend too and she died 5 years ago and I miss her so much. We had many years of shopping together in her younger years before she got sick, memories I will treasure for a lifetime. Word of advice, hug your mom and dad everytime you see them and leave and tell them how much you love them because one day they won't be there. You think your parents will be there forever and unfortunately they won't. Your parents is young so I'm certain you will have many years of love and fun with them. Does she want to adopt a daughter from Chicago, lol.

There is a product called "Goo Begone!" and or variations of that name by other companies that is a small bottle containing a yellow substance with a little scraper attached that removes the toughest stickers without harming an object. The Dollar Tree Stores typically sell them as well as Walmart and hardware stores. Maybe that can help you get the Goodwill stickers off the plates you ran through your dishwasher still to find the Goodwill stickers. Save your fingernails and get this amazing inexpensive "Goo Begone!" helper. Take care.
I moved to Kentucky from the Willamette Valley 3 years ago. St. Vinnies was one of my favorite stores. Part of the reason I watch you guys is because Im getting a taste of home. Theres nothing for thrifting or yard sales here. I didn't realize how blessed I was.

Goo Be Gone is what I use to take off stickers. It’s available sometimes at Home Goods and Dollar General.
I absolutely love your cabbage dishes. I got very lucky at my local thrift store and ran across almost a full set, I price them out and it would have been $765 for what I got and I got everything for 42, felt so blessed ♥️♥️♥️
