The needlework is actually crewel work. Was very popular in 1960s and 1970s. My great aunt made many projects then. Enjoyed your trip with your mom so much!

The owl pictures are crewel embroidery and not needlepoint. Needlepoint is a flat surface look. Crewel embroidery stitches give dimension and long loops can be cut to make a shirhing effect for even more dimension.

I have those leaves...2 green and a purple/dark leaf also. I place them on platters for charcuterie, desserts, etc. They are great because they can be wiped clean over and over. People always ask about them.

This may sound crazy, but I do not enjoy shopping, I’m not fan of most vintage things, and I’m not much of a girly girl. I decorate my home very rustic mountain lodge style. But I thoroughly enjoy watching you two spend time together! I’ve been watching your channel religiously for about a year now and my favorite videos are when you and your Mom are together. Women can wear men's shirts, of course. I buy my gingham shirts all colors from the men's section at Goodwill all the time. I also get great linen shirts sometimes.
However, this is the rule for seamstresses: Men's shirts bottom up -from left to right- while women's blouses do from right to left.
