LOL at the loctite comment. I've had that moment myself several times as my red dot starts rattling on the slide. Thanks for sharing another cool gun!

    I like it.
Good thing they've updated it a lot to make the HK433 and HK 437.
To bad its another HK we'll never get in the states.

The G36 didn't have a bolt release originally. You had to release the bolt by grabbing the charging handle, pulling the bolt back, and letting it go. Most G36s in the German Army are still like that. I'd rather have the bolt release than not. There's also an extended Mag Release that lets you drop the Mag with your index finger.

Awesome video! I have nearly the same gun (TG36KER). not an SBR but the same configuration overall. I love the gun but mine struggles to run reliably. I want to get it through a decent break in period to see if that helps. I've been curious if the ammo I'm running is contributing to the malfunctions.
    What ammo are you running?

I have the TG36K.. standard K length barrel with the extended 4 prong flashhider to keep it form 1... I run a mix of 55 grain and 62 grain through mine..granted ive only put 210 rounds through it.. mines been flawless.. I ran 20 rounds of tula 55 grain steel case only to see if it would fail.. it didnt, ran it like a champ.. the main ammo I use is freedom munitions 55 and 62 grain brass .223.. it's loaded a bit hotter so I suspect that helps it run.. Tom recommends 5.56 nato loadings because that's what the gun was designed around originally. But hot .223 has worked for my rifle..3100 fps or higher.. I hope this helps

I know my sample size is a smaller one, but so far it runs good..maybe I'll have failures down the road as I shoot it more.. but hotter 223 brass case is my go too..I have shot about 60 rounds of 62 grain 855 ammo and of course it worked fine.. the tula was some i had laying around and I expected issues.. but with only a sample size of 20 rounds.. it worked..also I know magpul makes mags for it and I have 5.. but I splurged on actual G36 mags and those are what I choose to use. Again good luck and at least our massive investments come with a lifetime warranty if needed.

@@andrewp1848 Thanks for the detailed input. I have run only .556 through the gun (can't remember the brands) mostly a variety of stuff I had on hand, all reputable manufacturers. Unfortunately it malfunctions about every 3-5 rounds. It definitely seems like it needs HOT ammo to run. Hopefully I can get it back on the range and complete a break-in period and see if that fixes things. I'll definitely try out some of the ammo you mentioned.

@lukeshaffer9445 I understand, its frustrating.. I would run 5.56 exclusively if it wasn't for the fact it averages 10 plus cents a round over .223.. it's easier on the wallet to buy .223 in bulk over 5.56.. just pay attention to the FPS of the round. I truly think the tula ammo was a fluke..as it is a low powered round compared to US manufactured ammo..I found it having weaker ejection and was concerned about cycling..i did lube and clean bore before i tried the tula in full disclosure..I was trying to get rifle to fail..find a limit..and I've found that, again in my limited experience with it, 3100 fps or higher is the way to go
