- Finally getting around to posting a video about my journey back into the SCAR16. After being involved with it at every level in the military I decided to give it a go with updating a civilian SCAR16 to see if I would like it.

If I could only run 1 5.56 rifle, it would be the Scar 16. People try to make the Scar, especially the Scar 17 into something that it is not and end up disappointed. The Scar is a great rifle.
Same. It's the most reliable gun I own but not the lightest. I put an MREX, BCM pistol grip, and Geissele into mine and it's perfect for me

Check out Rego Sys forends / rails, I think they're the new best thing, just got a few myself. They also have enough room for aftermarket gas regulators (at least KNS Discarder, and likely latest Mototech Scarburator). PMM has tons of good SCAR stuff though.

ive never liked the scar 16 at its price point it makes no sense hower i do love my scar 17 which i paid a tiny bit over 3k for and i have no complaints even at that price point
Scars are some of the best suppressed semi auto guns, but it’s at its best when you instal the right gas jet or now use one of the tunable regulators from KNS or the other one if you change suppressors often. FNs lightweight barrels on the scar don’t open up like most LW profile barrels do under strings of fire, or more precisely to the same degree. Group gets a little bigger like all barrels but it doesn’t string shots, so you get midweight performance from a Lw barrel. They tend to last forever if you don’t run a can without setting it up properly. CZ are second tier metallurgy compared to FN but they are also half or 2/3s the price. Keep up the cool videos

I have the scar 16s with a JMAC folding brace on it. So far it's become my EDC/truck gun. I've taken several carbine self-defense classes with it and no problems as of yet. But I'm not shooting it suppressed.

I use the exact same stock setup on my scar h just a different brand i use the jmac 1913 end cap with a sig mcx folding buffer tube
You should give the XCR-L a chance, it’s better than 805 and SCAR-L by far. Full ambi and non reciprocating CH from the start. Pick Barrel profile and length as you want. You can even ask Alex at Robinson Arms for 416r barrels … checkout the configurator …
It's not full ambi thou....CH is left side only....
