In college I was 6'6" 300lbs. I took a self defense class for the physical pre-req that semester. I volunteered to be the attacker because the coach saw an opportunity to teach the mostly female class what actual fear was. With no pads mind you.
In every situation I had to pretend that the self defense moves were doing anything to me. One of the girls asked me if this could stop me from killing her. I told her, "If I wanted you, only a gun could stop me from taking you." From that day on she started practicing at the range and got her CCL.
At one point we were practicing punching. I was letting a different girl punch my chest to get a feel of what it felt like to actually hit flesh. She got a bit big for her breaches so I dusted her temple with my knuckle as easily as I would a small child. You would have thought that I hit her with a Mac Truck.
My momma taught me from a young age, "You are bigger than the other kids so you have to be aware of that when you play. And don't you ever hit a lady. But if that woman hits you like a man, then you respond in kind."

Exactly correct. I trained MMA for 15+ years and my favourite instructor was a 3rd degree black belt named Kara who was 26. She was an amazing technical coach and mentor in every aspect of the game but never did any sparring that involved more than touch contact as she had no buisness striking with the guys and would get man-handled by 16 year old high school boys just due to the physical strength difference. EVERYBODY respected her completely and nobody ever put her down for being physically disadvantaged when compared to the males. She was and still is an amazing part of our martial arts family.

I tried my hand at a "boxing exercise class" 10 years ago when I was 45 yrs old and often paired up with this very athletic 25 yr old woman, because I fed off her energy and enthusiasm, and her ability to perform the drills far surpassed most of the other dummies in the class. A few months in I started sparring with the other guys and she expressed a desire to try it...I was very apprehensive to get in the ring with a "girl", and after a few light jabs in the first, and only round I hit her in the mid section with maybe 30% power and down she goes...GAME OVER! I felt terrible as she was a very nice person, but in hind sight I probably did her a favour as it was probably the only time she had ever actually been hit (tapped)...and now she knows.

She was 115 lbs and had a year of muay thai training, and any moment I just felt like I could destroy her. Now I had a little crush on her so I never went hard with her but just when people say there isn't a difference and me knowing and feeling that I could half kill her if I tried...Yeah women as much as you want to keep spewing that nonsense, it is very very true

And I guess against a man they would "Lose" it cuz they know this isn't a pad anymore and I'm not strong enough to go full force against a man. Even in Jiu Jitsu an art designed for smaller people to defend themselves to handle bigger people the male and female differential when it comes to skill drops off around the 50+ lb mark. And nobody would deny that. Now please stop pretending that in general, men aren't physically superior. Look at men's world records in any sporting event and then look at women's. Look at every example of elite men competing against elite women, or even high school boys competing against elite women. There's a reason women's world records are usually equivalent to or worse than high school boys elite performances. My teachers started putting women who were going to tournaments against me and told to me that if I could knock the foil (sword) from their hand I'd get a free session. After 6 months I got the nickname "The Wall" and they had changed the "free session" to "half off".
Just the reach/strength difference was enough that with a simple whip of my arm I could rip the foil clean from their hand or at the very least cause so much vibration/shock their hand would eventually go numb after enough strikes. The whole while they couldn't get in close enough, quick enough to land points even though they were in tournaments and I didn't even have 4 months experience.

A friend of mine has a niece. The niece has a friend. The niece’s friend would always talk reckless, which was actually quite cute. But when she did and someone didn’t like what she said, she would take off her shoe and threaten to hit the person.
    This terrified me.
We were in the middle of the Hood. She’s going to be out somewhere, away from us, and think this tactic will work. I’m Terrified.
So one day, after the shoe came off, I put my hands up and started walking towards her exclaiming, “I swear I will not hit you, but I need you to swing at me, hard as you can.”
    She did several times.
The shoe slapping against my caged guard as I continued forward. She steps back, I step forward. Maybe 10 strikes from that shoe before she was backed into a corner.
I then dropped my hands and showed her my arms which had 0 damage.
She was visibly a little shaken (I’ll take that to my grave, unfortunately), but she completely understood my point.
This was 25 years ago, and you see it still stings my soul.
    Thanks for listening.

She's a big girl built like a football player she takes after her daddy. The one day she found out how much I weighed and made a threat against me. She said I could take you. She was 17 or 18 and I was 40. I looked at her dad, he gave me the look. I turned and looked at her and said I'm not from your generation! I will bust you up!! The absolute look of Terror on her face from that statement. She figured out that she f***ed up real fast. She was a lot quieter and more respectful after that.
