Yoga poses like those are such a... weird thing to do with your sibling. I get actual yoga, but poses like those look like they’re for couples. I would never do that with my brother
yep, unless his dad is latin and gets all his genes from his dad, then that's not his real family. probably an actor on behalf of the production company that casts youtube context (there are entire teams of people that work to write scripts for YT money) he's put there to make the family more engaging and present the script.
Aside from the "hinted" incest, this grown ass man of 25, Brent Rivera, is stuck in his teen years when he was popular in 2013 when he was 15. He's 25 still trying to relate to CHILDREN.
My little cousin(9) is an avid Brent Rivera fan. I’ve noticed she started acting different after she started watching his videos. She constantly talks about getting a boyfriend and told me that she was going to get me a boyfriend, today she talked about licking toes, she copies TikTok dances that he does(most of which are kinda weird for a 9 year old to be doing), and now she hides her iPad while she watches his videos. So obviously his content may be “targeted” for kids but from a kids point of view it feels like they’ll get in trouble for watching it. I think that Brent has to target his videos towards kids because older audiences wouldn’t watch his content because it’s simply cringy and honestly a little creepy. Kids are being used to make money off of low effort content and it really is only making negative changes. All I gotta say is do better, seriously.
It bums me out this comment is so recent…I don’t keep up with Brent Rivera outside of commentary videos, but this video is almost 4 years old, so if Brent’s content hasn’t changed in all that time, he’s literally polluting a whole generation 🤮

@@evschroecki'm genuinely glad you were able to grow past it. i _guarantee_ most people did or will do the same. but, there's also concern for right now. regular exposure to behavior that goes unquestioned normalizes that behavior, good or bad. you grew up and went, "hold on, shane jokingly using the N word and pretending to want to fuck a little girl is actually super cringe," but other kids _acted on_ that normalized behavior before they got the chance to grow up. whether that means saying something offensive and hurting others, or falling victim to abuse because they don't immediately see the red flags. does that make sense? they've posted about it online. like, nobody is saying "watching brent rivera WILL make your 9-year-old freebase cocaine" lol, but it's easy to see how a kid learning "it can be normal and funny to pressure your sibling into doing a sexual pose or making out with somebody for your amusement" can create problems for them in the short term at least. and the commenter's cousin is hiding the content from other family members. hence looping in their adult role models.

Brent and his sister remind me of that episode of Friends where Rachel starts dating this guy who is insanely close with his sister, that they kiss each other on the lips and still take baths together.
I was thinking about why he does the overprotective brother thing, I think it's because he's trying too hard to portray the opposite of what he actually does, which is to sexually exploit his sister for views. If he portrays himself as meddlesome and judgmental in his sister's relationships, then it looks like he actually cares about protecting her, so he can turn around and do the exact opposite in practice

Brent has that fake hyper "Fred" energy of someone that I wish would somehow survive a terrible car crash and then somehow not survive a small fender bender on the ride home.
@Johan Liebert It is a term. "Coercion" involves controlling behavior. This is the term that is used. It is a psychology term. And "Familial" just refers to Coercion between family members/relationships. It's a version of the term "family." Trying to find a perfect link for this has been a pain, but here's one example of the term "Coercion" literally being used (by the people who are helping the victims of it). www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/domestic-abuse-guidelines-prosecutors You need to read up on Psychology terminology.
He reminds me of one of my cousins who was constantly crossing boundaries with us . The way he has complete disregard for the how uncomfortable his mother and sister are and how he puts his little cousin in inappropriate situations pretending it’s fine
10:46 they live in a cartoon universe where the world resets every day, that’s why the brother was so shocked that the sister and his friend where making out, even though he already knew
Friend says he'll do another Never Have I Ever if he can write all the questions. Brent proceeds to screw him over by saying "We're going to do all the questions I wrote instead". Brent proceeds to get noticeably angry when his friend slips a question into the hat anyway. Just amazes me he seemed to get really offended that someone would dare pull a fast one on him, but he went through with it anyway.
Ellie Lancaster and what was that mother doing at a nude beach in clothing, that’s pretty weird. I mean if I wanted to go to a nude beach then I wouldn’t want tourists walking around in their clothing - because they think being nude is awkward - watching me. That destroys the whole purpose of a nude beach
That’s pretty dramatic. Families can be very different from each other and there’s nothing wrong with siblings being close, especially considering he at least acts like a gay stereotype. My boyfriend’s family all kisses on the lips, my family doesn’t even hug each other, there be variety yo

My sister and I are half siblings with different fathers, so we look extremely unalike from each other. That, coupled with the fact that we spend a lot of time together, and are very close, has made it increasingly common, as we've both become adults, to be mistaken for a couple. In a really weird way, it's almost complimentary, because it shows how good of a relationship we have as siblings, which is nice, because lots of siblings don't get along as well as we do. That being said, it's still very embarrassing and awkward when it happens. We're not a couple, it's not a cutesy, funny joke to tease at at or indulge, it's fuckin' weird, gross, and completely unnatural.
Hmmm perhaps they are related and Brent is lying that this girl is his sister just to make her "admit" to doing inappropriate things with her actual brother for views. That's why they're so uncomfortable. But hey, that's just a theory. A game theory. Thanks for reading.
In my middle school, there were literally a few girls getting pregnant and smoking weed. I think whispering "bad words" is more of a kindergarten thing.
@@diamondsrubies1964 Sure. Freud is considered the father of psychology (altough there were people before him) and he wrote a lot about incestuous feelings (see Oedipus Complex). I dont agree with his work and his thoughts, but joking about it is fun.
His sister says “oh that’s nice” when he answers he’s never fantasized about someone in the room, like that one was up in the air -_- Though I guess she could suspect him of fantasizing about her boyfriend

somethings wrong w him. if i wrote questions for my mom for never have i ever itd be like "never have i ever gotten in a fight in school",not some weird sexual stuff
Agree. Even more than the sister stuff, I thought that was weird. I'm now in my 30s (probably older than everyone else watching) and never in my entire life have I initiated a conversation about anything sexual with my parents. When I hit puberty they gave me a book on puberty rather than having to talk to me about it. That's how things should be.
I hate that whole "protective" male relative shtick. I hate it when Dads are like "When my daughter brings home a boyfriend I'm going to scare him, lol" or when brothers are like "uh you can't have my sister" - because it basically implies they own that female relative and she's got no agency or will of her own. It's so idiotic. Meanwhile, the son gets a slap on the back and a "go get 'em tiger"
@Drinker_Of_Milk taking interest in someone's life =/= acting like their daughter/sister having sexual relationships is awful and infringes on their relationship with her, reinforcing gender stereotypes
That kid seems like he has a personality disorder. Seriously so weird. His parents need to stop enabling him and protect their daughter. If Mommy is vacationing in Greece sounds like she can afford her boy some therapy.
What about this video makes this guy seem harmful or dangerous in any way? I am not seeing it at all. Being weird does not mean ‘his parents need to protect their daughter’.

I think Eddie should have a series entitled: “Hey, maybe don’t do that” where he goes over the dumbest crap on CZcams starting with this.
Like Mike Falzone's "hey... shh... don't" only Eddy loses his god damn mind the whole time.
I agreeee
Only problem is that there are literally like 20 LARGE channels that already make specifically that kind of content.

2.PayMoneyWubby

4.H3H3
5.Jarvis Johnson

@@sloppyphart7879 ever heard of familial coercion?
@Johan Liebert It is a term. "Coercion" involves controlling behavior. This is the term that is used. It is a psychology term. And "Familial" just refers to Coercion between family members/relationships. It's a version of the term "family."
Trying to find a perfect link for this has been a pain, but here's one example of the term "Coercion" literally being used (by the people who are helping the victims of it).

and thats why we need more brothers like you
Thank God... I was starting to think I could never look at half these dudes who are close to their sisters the same
Even if it was a married couple and not siblings, I feel like it would still be pretty strange. Definitely less sketchy, though
Friend says he'll do another Never Have I Ever if he can write all the questions. Brent proceeds to screw him over by saying "We're going to do all the questions I wrote instead". Brent proceeds to get noticeably angry when his friend slips a question into the hat anyway. Just amazes me he seemed to get really offended that someone would dare pull a fast one on him, but he went through with it anyway.
as a retail employee i'd be like wtf, but to be fair i feel like everyone would be like wtf

If my kids acted like that at 7 they'd be in a locked car at the bottom of a lake
Ellie Lancaster omg I thought he was a kid I'm shook now

It's because he makes out with his siblings, not his "friends"😂💀
My sister and I are half siblings with different fathers, so we look extremely unalike from each other. That, coupled with the fact that we spend a lot of time together, and are very close, has made it increasingly common, as we've both become adults, to be mistaken for a couple. In a really weird way, it's almost complimentary, because it shows how good of a relationship we have as siblings, which is nice, because lots of siblings don't get along as well as we do. That being said, it's still very embarrassing and awkward when it happens. We're not a couple, it's not a cutesy, funny joke to tease at at or indulge, it's fuckin' weird, gross, and completely unnatural.
the sister & the boyfriend look more like siblings than the sister & brent do??

somethings wrong w him. if i wrote questions for my mom for never have i ever itd be like "never have i ever gotten in a fight in school",not some weird sexual stuff
Agree. Even more than the sister stuff, I thought that was weird. I'm now in my 30s (probably older than everyone else watching) and never in my entire life have I initiated a conversation about anything sexual with my parents.
