Luke working on cars reminds me of me when I work on cars - lots of struggles combined with liberal amounts of cussing. Luke using his head to hold up the hood was probably the most true to life build scene I've ever seen.
i can also relate, lets do a 40 minute install in 4 hours haha
lost me at liberal

As someone with about $5k worth of mods on his FIT, this makes me happy.
Same here but not quite $5k yet
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
As someone who has paid less for entire e36 chassis, lol.
@@weedshoes5089 how ? That’s craxy
@@supercooldude824 e36 were very cheap for many years. I bought my M3 for $8k in 2011 and my 325i for $4k in 2015. For a while you could easily pick up a runner for $2k, but mine are really nice, so I was happy paying a little more.
$5k into a fit is crazy. Maybe a DC2, eg or ek si. Never a fit.
I will say the Fit is the most car 75% of Americans probably actually need. Insanely economical but with SUV-levels of cargo capacity. It's a fascinating triumph of engineering and packaging.
The funny part is that they sell hybrid fits with 4wd too. And still more space than most of the subcompact/compacy NPC crossovers out there
Sad that the Fit has succumbed to Americas lust for unecessarily large vehicles.
@@jsward96 The Fit actually sold really well in its segment up until it was killed. I think Honda North America killed it because the profit margins were too small relative to the pain of importing it from Japan. Better to push customers towards the Civic.
Luke’s vibes are immaculate. Really a wonderful member of the team.
Yes! We want more content on this car pls. Any more upgrades?? And pls what are the downsides of a Fit
@@mamouddaudasawaneh3069 Dude didnt you watch the video? There are none.
I know this guy personally, he is Lactose Intolerant and is one of the worst human beings I have ever met. Can't believe the fake news Media!!!
Nice to see Luke on the channel more, good video.
Interesting that they have drum brakes on the rear, here they're sold as the "jazz" and they all have discs in that generation
That just told you US market doesn't care for small cars. In the typical US car buyers' minds, small is mutually exclusive with being good/great.
Actually if you buy the base S model you would get drums in the back
@@Goodman-4525 are you sure? I've seen the previous shape with rear drums, but never one of that generation 🤔
I may be wrong, just curious if it's different between markets
@@Love2Cruise true, there's often a "bigger is better" mentality over there with cars
I have a 2018 chevy sonic Rs. 2017 was the last year the Rs got disk brakes. Holding to my tradition of never having rear disks 🤷♂️
I had one back in Brazil. I had a fit 2008, solded and bought a Nissan...I didn't like and sold again and bought a 2009. The best car I ever own!!
Honda Fit (or Honda Jazz) in my country used to be (an still) one the most popular car among teenagers and JDM lovers. It's nice to see that you guys create a content about these car. Would be really awesome if you guys create another series doing some 'minor' upgrades on Luke's car such as headlamps and etc. Salam dari indonesia 🙏
same here in India but only after city
Keep in mind that Fit/Jazz's lil brother, Brio, also the second most popular cars among teenage in Indonesia 😁
@@muhammadyusufaliffarras4813 i still have a 2013 model 😀
@@CreateHarmony oh sorry to hear that, currently I'm working on my 2014 Brio by putting fullsystem exhaust, remapped ECU, stage 2 cams and ported head, making it 'not so fast' by keeping it naturally aspirated, and still saving for turbo and other misc parts by the end of this year 😁
I agree but mostly they just don't build it right. They only replace the exhaust and using fake wheels. Usually they only make alot of noise lol. But for me personally, I'd rather modify the coilovers and replacing the wheels for a better look. It may not be fast car but at least the handling will much better. Salam dari Bali🙏🏻
Watching him make content and not know exactly what he is doing and still finding real excitement in just wheels tires and suspension reminds me of why I got into the hobby especially cause we are at similar points.
Love this guy! He's genuine and hilarious
as a fellow Fit driver and enjoyer i would love to see more of you and your car, perhaps some horsepower related stuff, who knows.
The Sundea Cup series has a power to weight limitation, so most second generation Fit owners don't do much in terms of power mods
They don't make power n/a, the boost options have dried up, so just K swap is left if you want decent power
@@FATmenDRIVEtrucks that's not true, they can gain a decent bit of power N/A. My car makes 118whp (up from the stock 92whp) with a pretty simple setup. Boost options are still out there too, just not supercharger kits. Unequalfabrication is making turbo kits and other parts for these cars.
@@Sebs.garage_What have you done to your L15 to get those gains?
@@adriaanduminy2910 probably new higher cc sprayers, full exhaust, and a remap
So excited to see this pop up on my feed today. Used to have a mildly modified FIT myself, and it was a fantastic little grocery getter. Many are confused by modifying a car like this at all. But in all sincerity the FIT is about as close as you are gonna get to 90s civic hatchback nirvana.
True, fit has that throwback vibe to it, albeit slightly higher driving position but it even has similar torque steer too with old civic hatchbacks..
My ex wife had the 1st gen sport edition and it would rip in canyons. No hp but it could huck into turns really well.
its a cursed EP3 Civic. Kinda like the COD4 remakes.
Luke's the car buddy we all wish we had. Super-chill, ready to laugh, hard working, and takes a flying part to the face like a champ! 🏆
As I was reading this I told myself I bet it’s ab to happen and it did have me a good chuckle
THE FIT JAZZ VIDEO IS FINALLY OUT UP THE EGG CAR
Glad to see you back in front of the camera Luke. I worked on these fits back when I was a Honda tech and they are fun drivers on the street and spirited.
As someone who’s owned a 2010 Honda FIT Sport for 12 years that now has 291k miles (driven daily) and an 03 MR2 Spyder (weekend car) and seeing both cars in 1 video makes me super happy 😃 great content Luke!
291k miles with original engine?
@@abiirmungly2581 yup!
We all know this build isn't over, Luke. Every G&G build takes at least three videos!
Great job, the care looks fantastic. If you're happy, we're happy!
It’s great seeing Luke work on cars again! I’m starting to have a greater appreciation for Fits now haha
I own a fit before. Fun car to mod. Now i own a civic fd 1.6
Adding struct bars around fit, can let u have more stability. U will feel the sense of secure.
Going for a hks full exhaust system can help boost the performance. Change of air intake also highly recommended.
Do you still have some mods available for the fit
Fun cars for sure, I met a few people at gridlife this year during the Taco event at Gingerman raceway. Watching then race all bunched up together was very cool and they all looked like they where having a blast! More content on this car pls .
Dude, forget the algorithm, more Luke! Watching him work on cars is fantastic. Love to see him learning and experiencing the joy of his work
Awesome video Luke! Used to own a 2009 Fit Sport- they are indeed underrated. Great to see a Fit getting some action😂
YEESSS! Been waiting for some Fit content! We also need more of Luke on this channel.
I owned a brand new white GE8 like this for years and getting to see you do the mods I always wanted to was therapeutic. Loved this vid!
The Fit is genuinely a fantastic car. It’s nice seeing it get the recognition it deserves
Love seeing Luke too. He’s great a great personality.
That car really FITs you…
2nd gen Fits (this one) are such good looking little cars! I love them and seriously considered buying one when my Accord got wrecked a couple years ago
The packaging on the Fit is just hilarious. Rear suspension optimized for cargo space, the front suspension being under the wipers, and the gas tank is under the front seats!
Love these types of videos with people who don't do this all the time. He made all the right choices.
I'm the type of guy that will go in and change all the end-links, suspention, wheels/tires, paint/rebuild/lube calipers, and I've never messed around with steel braided brake lines. Hats off to you
Honda fit have a special place in my heart. I recently tuned and documented a k24 swapped 2016 Fit and it is probably the best car I have ever street driven.
does the A/C system still fit?
@@DreamDestinations123 it should but we don't have it installed currently
Had an 09 for 8 years and 185k miles until an accident took it outm One of the best car I've owed .
Love love LOVE seeing you on the channel more dude! About time you got your car upgraded too! 👊👊👊
I like this guy! Luke definitely looks to be really young so it gives me hope and confidence that there’s other young people out there trying and failing at new things. I’d love to see more of him in the videos. He seems like a very genuine addition to the channel
Glad to see Luke back on camera! Hope to see more like this!
so happy to see another luke video. the ‘algorithm’ is right.
I love that spirit of practicality and simplicity
I like when Luke is on the channel. Brings some more variety to the two amazing Bens in the channel. Luke just seems like a super genuine guy and I hope we get to see more of him on the channel
The Fit is such an awesome all rounder. Can daily drive it, take it to the track, take it to go camping inside it. Can't think of any other car that's as versatile. I really need to get one lol
Nice car dude, good to see some more budget friendly builds that make sense.
Wow, great informative video, I could tell you had fun doing these mods! After I wash my 2009 second gen Fit I stand back and admire the style and beauty of it. And like I said before, it's a blast to drive.
Your channel seriously just keeps getting better and better. Keep it up
Nice Fit! I suggest doing a Progress rsb, stainless rear brake lines, dhpa front calipers, wk motorsports shifter and an axle back exhaust. These little cars are so much fun with some simple mods.
Genuinely excited to see tons of mods for this car
Love seeing Luke get out from behind the camera again, your extended team are all great, glad they're getting showcased more!
Luke! 🎉 congratulations
Im happy to see this little beast on the channel and hopefully we can run together on VIR sometime soon!!
A wholesome, simple, appreciated build for a dedicated team member. Love it!
Very refreshing to see a more modest build! Now let’s see a build off between the FIT and that orange spice Fiesta st on the lift 😈
You guys are Just Amazing. I love watching your content, always assertive and down to earth point of views.
AND AMAZING FOOTAGE, as always. Keep lighting us up with content and passion for cars! We love y’all! ❤
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
As a fellow fit fanatic, glad to see your enthusiasm for the best car ever made. I went from a 93 25th anniversary Trans am to a honda fit and it was the best purchase I've ever made. Reliable, efficient, fun, roomy, and yet compact. I even moved across country in a fit with 1200lbs of tools and all that I could "fit" inside! 2nd gen is my favorite generation, but I'm biased because that's my daily driver! Good content man!!
underrated probably isn't a word i'd use for the fit. it's track potential has been seen and utilized for some time now. that being said, i sure do love seeing a new one built up.
it's called honda jazz in my country
Same here
You guys have such a great team together now! Keep up the good work!!!
We definitely need more luke content..he’s such a natural fit on video for the gears n gasoline style of filming
My first new car was a 09 fit sport bought it directly from Honda.
I now daily drive a s2000 and I can still agree with you Luke, that the fit is the best car ever made, it was perfect.
Similar story but mine was 08 VBP sport paid like 15.5k lol
2000 Mazda Miata SE, closely followed by 2002 Civic EP3 Type R from the UK but the fit works as a decent analog for something the yanks should have got.
Builds that anyone can do at their home, love the content!
I waited so long for the fit series. I'm so happy!
Hard to beat a good honda, alot of cars are not well rounded while there are some that are hard to ignore just how great they are! Some of the most fun I've ever had was in low powered cars! Hondas have always had alot of bang per buck, and its impossible not to admire them for it! Absolutely loving your content, keep em coming G&G!
Good to see luke getting screen time
Great job Luke! Hope to see more of you and your build in the future!
I'll forever miss my old Fit... Thank you for making this video and having so much fun with it ✌
Even more underrated would be the 2nd gen insight. Sister has one and it handles like its on rails, looks cool, and gets fantastic fuel economy. Only thing that lets it down is the awful jittery cvt they came with. In japan they modified/raced a couple when they were new.
Its funny cuz it shares a platform with the fit
@@ShaiyanHossain pretty sure it’s based more on the civic than the fit, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a mix of both with a bit of crz as well
The fit always seemed like a better continuation of the early civics despite having a twist beam rear suspension. I’ve always wanted one but surprisingly my wife has put her foot down and said it’s an old man’s car. I’d like to pick one up as a daily or track toy in a few years once prices level out.
Have her test drive it. She'll change her tune
@@pfunkle she’s kinda numb to anything car related. I had her get in and test drive a friends 1978 Corolla fastback and she thought it was a pile of crap. Him and I love the thing
@@MrMcTavishOBS time to "begrudgingly" settle for a GR86 😉
I absolutely LOVE my Honda Fit. Mine is on Bilstein coilovers. Shifter feel is fantastic and is a blast to toss around.
Please make more progress and content on this car. I would love to see it!
Need more of this, immaculate vibes from this video
Now just gotta polish up those headlights and you're good to go 😂✌
G&G should sponsor luke with a pair of updated headlights with projector lamps!
Sooooo… K swap?
Good to see Luke back! He embraces the meme potential of the channel; while giving out good videos! And the Fit looks amazing with the wheels and the lowered height.
Such a feel good vid! We need more of this spirit in the world.
Wtf is up with the background music
It’s Chinese bro. Respect
KSWAAAAAAAAP FIIIIIIIIIT PLSSSSSSSSSSSS
That would be nice
Please don't... The beauty of the Fit is in enjoying and pushing the stock drivetrain. Easy mods and quick results is the way to go, and how it still gets to keep the daily driver status.
Been waiting to see Luke’s fit!
Love the content
I own a GE8 and I absolutely love it. I’m slowly working it up to where I want it. The corners on it are Amazing. This video makes me proud of my lil fit.😊
Bite-sized yet practical and spacious inside. Love the Fit
This is so pure, pure everything. Approved!
Now i had the time to watch the video, happy for youe project, i love honda's Fit and happy to see you more on thr videos, you are a great addition to the tram.
Honestly been waiting for luke’s next build haha
People have to own one to understand, don't they? Just incredibly well thought out cars! Family vehicle + sports car with minimal tweaks, cheap and great gas mileage. My 2017 EX-L (comfy seats) just has a rear sway bar to bulk up the resistance on the torsion beam and upgraded tires and it is soooo much fun... even better to drive than my old WRX with Tein coilovers, because of the weight difference. The CVT shifts *fast* and gets 40+ mpg on the highway. I have happily given up straight line speed for this wonderous little go-kart for half the price.
Excited for this series!
I love my Fit as a daily too! This would make it sooo tempting just to up the performances a tad. Very cool to see your hitch bike rack on your drive too!
Great video! I currently own a 2010 Fit Sport manual and loving it! I also own an E92 M3 and yet I still enjoy driving my Fit.
Ayy, luke, my man!
Good to see you back on camera! And with a cool little car too
first time watcher here. quality video, well made, and such a cool build. new subscriber
Good to have Luke on the channel nice!
Brilliant. Nice job guys.
Oh wow! I didn't realize that it's already 1M subs! I think I found this channel when it was almost 300k subs. I think Luke wasn't around yet when I found this channel. Time flies so fast. Keep it up Luke!
Thats awesome my guy. I used to own one of this Fits and love it. Had to sell it back in 2014. Miss it everyday, 2 Civic Si’s later I still one a Fit. They dont have a ton of power but with simple mods like this, they can be plenty of fun. Maybe I’ll find one soon.
Nice job Luke! Looks great.
MY wife have a 2009 honda jazz sport edition. People under estimated this car. One day we drove to ikea and we purchased mattress, bed frames and 2 night stand and other stuff. I told my wife it's not going to fit. She told me to just watch.
She actually put everything in the car. I was shock. Keep in mind we bought a queen size.
She love her jazz went see floor it on the autobahn and vtec kick in.
Great video. Need more of Luke.
Dope soundtrack. Great vid 👍🏽
I would love to see this build continue to see what you can really get out of a Fit
More coverage on this car please! Let’s see his first track day!!
I learned to drive with my mom's honda fit (well, jazz over here). And honestly it's just a fantastic car. She's had it for 8 years now and 120'000km, nothing out of usual maintenance work required, ans it's incredibly practical for the size.
This is a nice mix in content 👌
I love luke so much
Luke content is always S-tier
Wish he was more often on the channel, his videos are my favorite
Much love Luke ✌️ glad to see the fit getting love
finally a honda fit series😭 keep em coming
The Fit is such an awesome little car, so much fun. Also Luke is amazing, he is the purest of us. 😊
I just bought a 2017 exl two weeks ago and it's really amazing!
Thats was so out of the box, I love it
