growing up my bedroom was in the basement. I constantly heard my parents and family or our large dogs walking around above me. When I moved out and got my first apartment the noise of people walking above was kind of soothing and actually helped with my homesickness.
Had something similar, but the ending was different:
I, too had my room in my parent's house's basement until i moved out. Then i was in a little tiny house all for myself, but heard footsteps above me. Above was only the empty attic. Then i heard sounds coming from where an old sewage pipe was supposed to be.
It were 2 rats.
I literally had discovered a Skaven undercity. And *IN THE NAME OF THE TWIN-TAILED COMET!* they were purged!

I’m so with Henry and the husband on this! We ask our significant others we are going to get food. Concern about your welfare, we ask do you require nourishments? You respond “No I am not.” When we return or you discover what we have, you are outraged we didn’t get you some, as if we deprived you of a meal. Then you bombard us with unyielding rage, complaining we don’t care about you! If you don’t like the food we are ordering, that means you don’t find the choice of food appetizing but you lied that you are hungry!
And most of the time i will make a second stop if you want different food than i, its not that hard

We in the U.S. and Canada get a somewhat distorted view of this. Those two countries have very large immigrant populations, so we see people from different ethic groups all the time. Most other countries are extremely homogeneous. Like 95%-99% of the population will be the same ethnicity (or close enough that you can't tell the difference). So seeing someone of a different ethnicity is a really unusual event.

I left 2 of them because I was punished for every act of integrity and was practically fired for it, at my second job.
People don't always appreciate you if you do your job better than them because then they can't be excused for doing it bad/mediocre.
Right now I am working at a place that doesn't exactly compliment you for a good job, but why should they, if it's supposed to be done right in the first place?

@Seba Gab I feel ya. I was ready to walk out of my current job because it was hyper stressful. At one point, I was training guys while having to train myself. As an apprentice, I was supposed to train with the journeman, as per union rules and good practice.
The chief engineer and asset chief engineer both died within a year of each other. I was promoted to interim assistant chief while the new assistant assumed the role of chief for about 2 months. That was possible for me because of the way I had to train myself.
Once in a while, if you can push through, you do become stronger. Also, the current asset chief engineer happens to be my best friend, and the new chief is an absolutely wonderful dude.
I was extremely lucky, though. That place was a shit show under the "old bosses."
I saw the cosplay and it immediately reminded me of my time watching Cardcaptor Sakura as a kid. Awesome cosplay, Jeannie!!

However, most of his fellow inmates are talking about how they will find their next one when they get out... and telling the officers what they want to hear to get their time shortened.
So yeah, 5 year age gap that started at 17... don't just presume it was him. For all we know, she may have caught him in a stupor and decided to baby trap him.
I know people will turn this into an "age is just a number-thing" in an attempt to "own" me but let's be real for a moment: 18 is an age that was just choosen at some point, it could've been 16 or 21 aswell. I don't have an issue or want it changed but: the human brain is fully mature at 25.Hell, I have met people so stupid an naive they are still getting taken advantage off way past that age. It's "only" a 5 years gap and he stayed with her. Maybe she's smart and he's the one who isn't mature for his age. Feels alot like fake outrage.
Also, i dont know whats with americans and overly protecting 16 y/o, sure around my country 16 isnt a adult but everyone expects them do at least be councious of adult behaviour, they arent children anymore.
It's also worth noting that depending on where they are that might not actually be illegal. Not just country, either, but many states have an age of consent of 16, or some kind of "Romeo and Juliet" laws that would allow for a certain amount of age gap.

Honestly, if they have a healthy relationship, they're kinda lucky. Yeah the ages are a bit questionable, but to have stayed together at that age with the pressure of a child, and to have had the relationship stay well enough that they continued to build a family together is amazing. Some people can't even do that in their 30s. Will it stay like that? Who knows, but just because there's an age gap, doesn't mean you can't assume either side is deliberately manipulating the other.

Why are we supposed to be shocked by a 5 year age gap? First of all, 16 is age of consent most places, and so it's none of your business in the first place... but secondly, high school is the primary social experience most people that age get. Traditionally in America, it consists of 4 grades, all intermingling with each other. It is entirely natural to develop friendships with an entire group of people who are 3 to 4 years on either side of you. It's not inconceivable that you then meet and become friends with younger or older friends of your younger or older friends.
This is not a pro grooming message. If he's trolling the high schools, that's a problem... but that is almost certainly not what happened.

When I got my first apartment two college girls rented the unit above mine for the fall semester. It wasn't long before the girls became VERY popular and vocal as well. A week ago Moist Critical made a video about the clip [5:30], it seems to be a sort of trend that is awful and only meant for attention. She isn't the only one posting those types of TikTok videos. They never apologized for the videos and it only serves two main purposes: shame men (potentially putting them in danger), and discredit actual cases where women are made to feel uncomfortable in the gym.
The last time I went to a gym I met a girl with a similar nasty attitude and who looked at me at if I was filth, this was way before TikTok existed. I wanted to ask her a question, I was still new to going the gym, but she walked away giving me a disgusted look before I had started my question. I felt embarrassed. I felt out of place. I haven't gone to another gym since then; there's no point.
A literal blind guy was attacked by women for allegedly staring at a gym girl even after he told her he can't see. That's the world we live in.

I eat lunch at work at 12:00 and then dinner at home at around 18:00-19:00 (6p.m.-7p.m.). Dinner is always around the same time (I'm usually the one making food). Either you eat now, or you do it later when you're hungry.
