@@vincentfransen970i just figured it out, go to settings, tv and display thingy, video modes, allow variable refresh rate. Tell if it works with you. I cant enable it cuz i have a shitty tv lol.

My Xbox S series does not have this display, and I have a 4K, HDR TV. Junk video.

Setting isn’t even going to pop up if your not on a PC. If your TV runs 120 hertz native, which I really don’t know if any do, it’ll be 120. But to switch that setting you need a monitor

Frame rate/FPS =/= frequency/Hz . Many people don't udnerstand these terms correctly, as you do. At first, you can have i. e. PC set up to 120FPS&60Hz (yes, it's technically possible with better GPU and worse monitor), secondly, imho 120FPS&60Hz is still better than 60FPS&60Hz setup, at least I see a tiny difference. Kinda stupid that you can't force higher frame rate on Xbox Series X with worse tv that doesn't support 120Hz - this was a live saving feature on PC sometimes.

They are totally different things. One isn't related to the other. Fps is how many frames your computer can generate. Hz is the monitors maximum refresh rate. So basically fps is how many single frames your computer/graphics card can draw in a second, and Hz is how many the monitor can display. One is to do with the computer itself the other is the screen. Running a game at 120fps on your computer won't suddenly mean your 60hz monitor can perform better. However that said it can help with input latency and overall game responsiveness. The game may feel better to play but you will only be getting 60hz still out of your display. Your right most people don't understand the 2.

It’s only for Xbox Series S|X and even then you have to have a display that supports 120Hz (which displays up to 120FPS)
Most TVs will not have the 120Hz option, it’s best to play on a monitor nowadays to you can actually see more than 60FPS for games that support it
