@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIALon Fortnite with my cousin Xbox it’s stuck on 60hz no matter what. The hdmi supports 240hz and his monitor is 240. His Xbox is a Xbox series one S
@LoFlake then watch my fortnite video that's is in the description, which I've already addressed.
@LoFlake also, your xbox will only ever do 120. You could have a monitor that does 700hz. Your xbox can only do 120. If you want to go to above that, buy a PC.
@LoFlake ps, hdmi only supports 1140p@120 even on PC XD so no, your cousins xbox doesn't do 240. And it never will.

I dont know if you’ll respond but what about the video modes to allow 25 and 50hrtz? And those other things? Or is that only for 4K use?
I personally keep it off.
Leaving home early from work after seeing this just so I can try it out if it works then my man you getting a sub also if it don’t work and the screen is just black how would we fix it
If you follow the guide you won't have this issue.

You're welcome 😊
I did it in the exact same order but there's a purplish color on my screen now. Is there something I can do?
Hey man, I don’t see “refresh rate” underneath resolution, could you assist. I’m on an Xbox one
Depending on your monitor it may or may not display the option. The oldest xbox (which I'm assuming is the one your speaking about) is likely going to have issues outputting anything higher than 60fps regardless. The original s console aswell as the original x console are more than capable of this (not the series consoles, but those are for sure the better option)
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIALmine does the same and I’m trying to play halo, is it impossible to get the 120hz on your screen with the older Xbox one?
is it works really? the other video that a commented on it didnt did well but i will try this tommorrow thanks man
I have this, and I believe two other videos that are covering this topic.

Oh, and read the description next time you could been back in business within minutes.
I doubted u but dam nvm thanks
I have just one question I play on xbox 1 and I wanted to get the 120fps setting on fortnite and this hasn't happend may you reply or make a video on this? If so,thank you much
Already have two videos on this
I'm not tech savy, but what did this setting or changes do?
screen will refresh the picture on the screen twice as fast - and usually this can also reduce input lag.
woah lol it worked for real
:D
hey i did the everything in the video fidelity and overscan and when i went to get the refresh rate it didnt pop up. im on xbox one with a crua monitor
Same here, trying to figure out the crua monitor
yeah i think it is the xbox one idk if it supports it
@@shirleybraucht8792 I actually figured it out last night after tweaking some settings. Got it to run 1440p at 120hz
can you tell me what to do
If you wouldn't mind sharing what you did with our other friend here, that would be wonderful! Ps, I'm glad you were able to figure it out! 😀
I have an 144hz monitor and when I try it it says “out of range”
Try different color space options aswell as swapping between standard and rgb.
Ive done what u said,i have a 144 hz monitor and it says 120hz but when i load fortnite in settings i dont see the setting that i can do 120 fps?
Fortnight only supports 120hz on the SERIES consoles as that version is the one with the extra setting
When setting the hertz to 120, my monitor said “input not supported.” I have an acer monitor with an xbox one s. This is the monitor, right? It’s not old or anything, though
Sometimes it could be the monitors fault I have a new one but I'm replacing it because it's 144hz but I can't get 120hz on d2..
Also if you do what's in this video you should have 120 fps by default
@@kulvirmahil1412 On my monitor when I do what’s in the video it corrects to the 60 because the monitor physically can’t run that
Sounds like you answered your own question :p
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL thanks!
I tried following the steps but it’s showing a big black border on those specs (1080p at 120). When I select 1440p it fills the whole monitor but does not support 120hz. Any help? My main game is warzone.
Your monitor if 1440p. Try messing with the actual settings of the monitor, as there should be a option somewhere to "fill". May also be under "overscan".
The reason it's smaller, is because your TV isn't automatically changing to 1080p. It's staying in 1440 while your console is at 1080. You must force it to 1080.
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIALwhen I tried to put the refresh rate to 120 my tv said it was an unsupported mode am I screwed or do you think there’s a way to fix it
Yo dude I know this is old and you might not respond but when I put my TV on 120hz it started bugging and stuff is that normal?
Read the description
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL my screen didnt turn black i could see the left side but the other side was glitching green
So it isnt supported. Try a lower color space, or bit per pixel. worst case scenario - lower your resolution and it will for sure work. supposed to be at 1080p but if you lower to 720 should also do the trick but thats a last resort.
How do I reset this because it wouldn’t let me do 120hvz so I changed everything back and my graphics are still slightly blurrier
make sure to set your resolution back to 1080p after changing HZ
Is this for TV only? And not monitor? Cuz i got 120 on my monitor without doing all this on xbox series x and monitor
Works aslong as your tv/monitor supports 120hz. doesnt matter if its a tv, or a monitor.
Heard somewhere that xbox one x can run 120hz. Is that true? Cause in my settings says i can but only have a 60hz tv
Please watch the entire video.
Do you know how i can get the 120fps on Fortnite? Can’t find your video on it. Saw you said you had it in the comments
It's a short, not a full video.
czcams.com/users/shortsW4tXwVsTbqw?si=GuIbc7vapRk3oy-l
Ohh i think it doesn’t work the bc i have Xbox one s
It is in the console in 120hz now but can’t see that setting in fortnite
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL do you think it is because i have a Xbox one s. I have it setted in the settings to 120fps
thank you, jesus i was losing my mind lmao
No problem 😀
Didn’t work for me my screen was glitching out when I put it to 120hz so I put it back on 60hz if you could help suggest something else please
your monitor doesn't support it if that's the case.
Why when I do 120hz it stays at 60 also if I get it to work on 120hz will it let me change it in Fortnite? And how
I have a video specifically for fortnite. Watch that. Also, your TV must support 120hz in order for this to work whatsoever.
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIALwhat the vido titled
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL u should told us that first
@@Araxckxx watch the fortnite video if it's a issue lol
quick question can I put the resolution at 1440p after this?
Likely not but you can try.
I have a tv but it won’t work and it can run 1080p and 120 fps and it gives me same confirmation as you and it won’t work
Same bro
Must be 120hz Tv/Monitor, if not - it will give no signal/unsupported mode as your tv/monitor doesn't understand the signal.
I did all the steps but i have a black bar on the bottom that says "!please change source resolution"
This is because your monitor doesn't support this
What do I do if my screen says invalid format ? Ins been like this for about 10 mins I’ve restarted the Xbox and unplugged it and it’s still showing up
Because you confirmed the setting without waiting the 15 seconds before it reverts to the old settings. Little late now.
And based off of what you said, your monitor doesn't support it anyhow.
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL what should I do then?
@@Whii3 read the top of the description
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL nvm I fixed it myself
Its not working with me my tv shows the120hz but i cant select it every time i put it on 120hz it change to 60hz
Your TV doesn't support it
does this work for an tv? because i tried it (yes my tv supports 120hz) and i followed all the steps it even shows the 120hz options and lets me do anything you just did as if i had an pc but i can’t get to 120 fps
If its showing the option but not working - your tv infact does NOT support 120hz.
When i change it to 120 uertz it just takes a few sec on a black screen and it keeps going to 60 i cant change it
Because your monitor doesn't support 120hz.
It didn’t work at all. I’m doing the exact same thing and I put it at 120 fpS when I look into my game it says 60 and it keeps changing to 20 and 60.
just because your xbox is set to 120 doesnt necessarily mean the games will run at that. an older xbox can output 120hz, but may only be able to achieve 40-60fps on some games. or maybe even less. newer the hardware, higher the numbers will go. also - up to the developers of whatever game your playing if they even want the game to run that fast (spoiler alert, most keep it at 60)
I was trying for so long to
to ?
My tv says 120hz and ive done everything but i cant seem to get it to work
Please watch my updated version of this video as I believe I cover this.
Ermm so I did all the steps but when I did the hz setting it said this is not supported but other than that I saw all the other comments and it looks like it works so I would recommend trying this
Your TV probably doesn't support it.
I did see some setting but the refresh rate I didn’t see for the Xbox one no X or S
this clearly means your tv doesn't support it .
Im on xbox one s and play siege, will this make my hz actually 120? Ik it wont be 120 fps but will it actually be 120 hz and somewhat improve? Lmk
Depends if the game supports it or not
Google search could answer that
If your hz is set to 120 then it will always be 120hz, but that doesn't necessarily mean tour going to get 120fps. Depends on hardware, the game, if the developers enabled it at all, and so on.
My most recent video is a great example of what I mean.
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL naw fuck all dat u the g for responding that quick at 1:35 am fr but u think I'll work for rainbow six siege?
@@notyep8632 I don't Play seige I'm not sure.
Did everything as you said and still my monitor goes black and says “input not supported” BUT my monitor goes up to 165hz so I am very confused.
You will only ever be able to get 120hz, no higher.
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL Yeah mb I miss worded. I know I can’t go above 120 but the problem is that when I press the 120hz option it goes black and says “input not supported”
@utter7465 change color space and bits per pixel, keep trying different options until it works. My monitor supports 36 bits per pixel whereas I have friends who can only run 24 bits per pixel
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIALThing is it’s been on 24
then try 16.. lol .. if it doesnt work - your monitor isnt compatible. it should work. @@utter7465
So how does this actually affect the game playing experience on a 4k TV?
You will not be able to run 4k @ 120hz on a xbox. no matter which model you have of console or tv. either 4k @ 60 or 1080p @ 120. not enough bandwidth in a hdmi cable. when xbox switches to DP (if ever) then and only then will you be able to go higher.
My monitor is supports over 120fps but isn’t 4K do you need a 4K?
120 is only supported in 1080p (sometimes 1440p)
W mans
:)
When I’m on 120hz I have this horizontal line how do I fix that do I need a new tv ?
Your tv may not support one or more options you selected. mess around with the bits per pixel, as that's usually what it is. Other than that, no idea.
Good vid but why does my screen turn a bit lighter?
may be a mixture of the settings. the colour depth, or colour space could be the reason. try changing that back to whatever you had it at before.
On the 120hz it said not supported or somthing, could somone explain?
Your monitor doesn't support it
If i have a tv with 60 hz ,is it ok to do that ? that is, I have a Samsung TV with 60 hz 4k , and I think this video refers to 144 hz monitors . Is it good to do the settings ? Pls help me
No this is incorrect. It will not work.
Thanks
@@TURTLETIMEGAMINGOFFICIAL will I have more fps if I set it to 1080p?
@@sebidavidescu1742 no. It will be stuck at 60.
I did all of this on 60fps tv and xbox one. The only thing it does is make your fps more consistant. Before i had like 40 fps on apex. Now i have steady 50 to 60.
Hey! I have a 185hz monitor, and when i click 120hz it says "Unsupported Mode."
usually means something isnt supported- try different settings in the Bit per pixel section until it works. some monitors only support 24 BPP
