So many useful tips! Moving abroad can really be a hassle if you don't prepare well. But in the end, it's totally worth it! 😍 Greetings from Finland!

Moving abroad has had a pretty significant influence over my personality, identity and life. A challenge that I think is shared by many who move abroad is developing an identity - which I call the “fused identity” - that can lead you to feel a little different from everyone else. This is why I feel many expats might feel like outsiders more than they feel like locals wherever they are. I chose to make this the focus of my first ever episode on my podcast, “The Simple Complexity”. Give it a listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, PocketCasts or wherever you listen to podcasts and let me know what you think!!

Gave up little over a minute in due to endless 'rabbit.' When one sighs, and perhaps whispers 'Over at last' Emily moves on to discussing beverages. Following serious illness / intensive care one's time is regarded as being precious and worthy of respect.

My hack is get an up to date phone that allows you to have an esim and a physical SIM card for the same phone. Set up the esim for your home country phone number and plan. Then get a physical sim on arrival for your new country with a prepaid plan. This way you have access to a phone from day one and you have a local phone number for your new friend. All on one device. No lag time.
