When asked about his unique voice Robin replied "I dont sing with my voice, I sing with my heart" If you really want to see him pour his heart out, check out this live version of I cant see nobody. m.czcams.com/video/ZYO4KQ4s0II/video.html&start_radio=1

I was a teenager in the 60's and Robin sang lead on many of their songs. He had the voice of an angel. The first Bee Gees song I heard in 1967 was sung by him and THAT was what made me a fan.

Another great live heartfelt Robin performance is "I Can't See Nobody" Melbourne 1974. It was delivered straight from the heart.

For confirmation that Robin's vocals are irreplaceable to the band we look to songs like "Alone" and "For whom the bell tolls". I come to appreciate Robins voice more and more over the years.

BeeGee's disco music was exciting. Before disco it was beautiful.

JOKE was Robin’s showcase 1960’s song to sing without his brothers at concerts. WORDS is Barry’s. Lots of video options. I would recommend either 1979 or 1978 concert footage.

The Bee Gees had several noteworthy hits during the 60's and made many TV appearances performing their songs. But then their 70's disco hits launched them into worldwide super stardom. This beautiful song is the perfect choice for Robin's distinctive voice. Gets me every time! Can't wait to see the HBO special, they made an indelible mark in musical history.

"Words", "I've just Gotta Get a Message to You", "How can you Mend a Broken Heart", if you decide to react to more early Bee Gees
Also, if you are going to react to more early Joe Cocker, "Hitchcock Railway" " Feeling Alright" "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" are great upbeat songs

Love the early BeeGees the most. Heard more of Robin's beautiful voice. Less of Barry's falsetto that was so prevalent in the 70s disco era. Should have done the original 60's recording of this one

They originally released that song in 1968. That is 53 years ago! They have written and sung over 1000 songs. From 1958 through the 2000's. Barry put out a solo album called 'In the now', ( love the song Grand Illusion), and another one with country artists doing Bee Gee songs called Greenfields.

If you want more early Bee Gees... but something completely different than the beautiful, melancholy ‘Joke’, May I suggest a little known song from 1972 called Paper Mache, Cabbages and Kings. Quirky, fun and maybe even a bit odd, but I love it.

It's quite not the way, I'm thinking! Their voices are absolutely equal to me, even Maurice's, who had the perfect instinct for threepart harmony. No competition was between the brothers, 'cause it all worked in the right way for them. The crack-moment came, when Robin thougt, Lamplight and not First Of May should be A-Side. So their manager, Robert Stigwood, choosed First Of May. And he was right with that decision. But better would have been, A-Side First of May and Flipside Black Diamonds. And then the next single A-Side Lamplight and Flipside Marley Purt Drive. But that's history.

This is Robins Signature song and he always does it credit.
One fun fact here is that he infact sings it wrong at one point in this version. First time he is singing "Till I Finally Died Which Started The Whole World Living" He Instead sings "Which Started The Whole World laughing"

Unfortunately, many reactors & the younger generation don’t have the same appreciation & respect for well-crafted music like this! You prob noticed Barry stepped back as Robin sang his little heart out…..& Robin does the same thing when Barry sings Words”(which you should check out!)! It’s out of due respect for the other to have the spotlight on only him🎼!

Still the others are good in their own way also like being funny or just a good truthful reaction but diggin your to the point serious reactions.
