This was very informative most people just show you a few bags , which I find irritating , what is the point . Also the links in the description are handy , great vid !
I have found to disinfect pond water, add 9 parts scotch to 1 part water, and shake for 30 minutes. Pour over ice in a frosty mug and fill to the top with more scotch. Repeat as needed.
When the Coronavirus has gone, I really do fancy doing some motocamping. Sounds great and I'll be taking some of your tips on board too! Thanks for the vids. Keep them up! Cheers
ok i think if you are staying in a few places for a few days . i do not worry about cooking gear ?always some where to buy coffee, and a snack , i got a really good two man tent , with cover space under the fly , and inside , have to take a blow up bed , and a good sleeping bag ?and a blow up pillow , i seem to get better organised after every trip ?and learn something , i take a telly fishing rod small tackle box and water bottles , good mate safe driving , george tasmania ?
I am into bike touring and the goal for us is lightweight and compact in size. Here are some tent brands that will save you on a lot of weight and size: Hyke & Byke, Big Agnes, Marmot, Kelty, and Eureka. Sleeping pads: Sea to Summit and Klymit series have nice sized and lightweight sleeping inflatable pads.
Great suggestions Frazer. I'd like to make one small recommendation which might turn out to be life saving. At 5:20 you tossed your First Aid kit into the saddle bag, I'd suggest these never be hidden from those we'd like to offer first aid in times of our greatest need. I always stow these outside on the bike in obvious view of anybody seeking to offer assistance. Access to these kits should not be an obstacle if we experience a mishap which leaves us incapacitated and unable to communicate to our rescuers. Otherwise you've done a great service to us all. Cheers...
Nice video man. I like all the lights you are using, very simple, id recommend a light like the luci light (it sticks with your solar panel theme) take care, ride safe!
Good video, thanks for this... I like the frying pan with the closing lid... I am heading off on a 2000+ km ride in just a few weeks time. Will be camping out along the way here in New Zealand.
Wow what a brilliant video. I'm going get into biking after a short 35 year break my goal is to pass my test and go camping for the 2020 Isle of Man TT on my yet to buy Royal Enfield Interceptor. Videos like this are invaluable to people like me. Thanks for posting 👍
Now that sounds like an awesome plan! I wish you all the best with building your camping kit, and hope you get your Royal Enfield Interceptor (great choice of bike). All the best!
I'm, also, a born again biker after nearly 50 years out of the saddle ( 68 now ) Did my CBT in Dec 2018 and passed my test Feb 2019. Bought a Honda NC750X ( was thinking about the Interceptor, but when I passed my test there was about a 5-6 week wait on it and I was impatient to get going, and the Honda was another one of the bikes I was interested in, so bought a good S/H one - love it ) Planning on doing an off road course in September, and then get an RE Himalayan, as well, to start doing a bit more adventurous touring, No motorways on the Himalayan as I don't think it likes them very much, but can be ridden off road, and is fine on the A or B roads Just found Frazer's channel and and getting some camping tips. Keep it up Frazer. Good luck with the test, assuming you haven't taken it, yet. You might need to get your order in for the Interceptor as they're selling like hot cakes.
Great video sir, me and my girlfriend will be going on our first motocamping trip next year. Definitely giving me some good ideas, one question what is the model of your coleman mattress?
Thank you very much! I wish you all the best with your first motocamping trip. I cannot remember the exact model of the Coleman mattress, but I would now recommend a foam roll up pad. I've had so many puntures over the years, and it can ruin a great trip. All the best.
GET RID OF YOUR POTS AND PANS AND KETTLE AND JUST GET A SET OF ARMY MESS TINS. THATS ALL YOU NEED TO COOK YOUR FOOD AND EAT YOUR FOOD OUT OF AND ALSO USE FOR WASHING IN AND ALSO BOILING YOUR WATER FOR YOUR CUPPA
Chemicals are not filtered out by such filters. If you use them I would have a close look at the water source. If there is any chance of chemical pollution (f.e. agriculture, settlements...), I would not use it.
hello, we can produce these bags, and have many stock for travel bag, packing bag, they are easy to organized some small things ,welcome to contact my whatsapp: 08618675258063, email: aliceliu@zkkbag.com
Thank you very much. I usually purchase food on location, and store the food in the ground if it needs to stay chilled, or just in the tent. All the best
Thanks Bob, Hope you had a good ride down to Weston Super Mare last month. Thanks for your continued comments, they are all very much appreciated. All the best
32 degrees, wow! I just noticed at the start of your video, you stayed at the Commodore Hotel. It wasn't by any chance the one in Kewstoke, just across the road from the seafront. I stayed there for a couple of nights about 3 weeks ago. Glad to hear you had a good trip. Take care
+Frazer Langford. It was the Hotel at Kewstoke.. we have stayed there a few times as it is away from the busy town with safer parking for a bike. Regards Bob
Hello, Scotland is a great choice for some enjoyable riding. My panniers are 45L, but can expand to 60L, ideal for carrying big loads. Have a great trip!
Hello and thanks, I use a program called 'Sony Vegas Pro' however I think I have a very old version. I'm sure the latest version has tons of new features. Take care and all the best
Thanks for the video! Could you put some average prices of what the item costs? also, what's your take on bringing a firearm for defense from animals, (and people ) as well as hunting in an emergency?
Hello, the prices are so varied from website to website, and they are always bringing out newer models, so it is difficult to put a rough price. In fact I found my tent on a couple of sites, the same model ranging from £80 to £140.As for the firearm, I think it is ok to carry one in the right circumstances, for example if I was on a tour in a foreign country where there are bears etc, I wouldn't be staying there without a firearm. However in the UK, I generally carry a mallet for camping/building purposes, but if someone attacked me I wouldn't hesitate to use it in self defense. Thanks for your comment
Hi Frazer! Thanks for the video. I like the pressure monkey and the water purifier and I'd like to get one but I can't find them online. Would you mind telling us where you got your kit from please mate?
Hello, If you go on Ebay and search for 'Ridge monkey' there should be loads on the first page. As for the water filter, a google search for 'Grayl water filter' should take you to a few suppliers. All the best
Hello, unfortunately I am unable to post links on the comments, but an Ebay search of 'folding wood burning stove' brings up the stove on the first page. All the best
Hi, I usually wear the most practical footwear for the adventure. Most of the time I wear comfortable waterproof trainers, other times I wear Motorcycle boots. Also, the weather plays a big part in what footwear I choose. Hope this helps, all the best
Hi Fraser craig again just a quick question if I may I've recently last year passed my Motorbike test and as your a biker thought I'd ask you what cc bike is best for a first bike any advice on this when you've time mate would be appreciated thanks 👍
Hello again, In my opinion I would go for a 500cc. Most of the 250 sports bikes have double the performance of a 125 (as you would expect). But a 500 gives you a nice jump in to the mid bike range. I done a bit of research myself after passing my test, and I ended up with a Kawasaki ER5. Great bike for commuting, a nice 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds and very reliable. Good luck with finding your bike!

Excellent video and very useful tips. I will bear these in mind when I go on my first motorbike camping trip (hopefully) this year

Thank you, great suggestion! I have now moved it to the map holder on my tank bag. Clearly visible and waterproof, thanks again.
That's an awesome idea...
wow that frying pan flip thingy and that water filterer are a great idea
i see i'm not the only one than
Instead of a water filter, you could pack some moringa seeds or chlorine dioxide. The latter one is also a strong disinfactant for wounds #firstaid
Great video, great advice, thank you.
Gonna be off on my own soon for a bit of this, so will take on board all your advice
Thank you very much, good luck with your trip, and have fun!
