To answer Hassan's question, even jokingly, one should not be disrespectful or dishonest. Islam has given us clear instructions and we can avoid a lot of trouble if we abide by those.

In Sana and Azekah's case, I saw a vlog posted by Azekah that it was her last day on set and Sana wasn't present. She was shooting with Bilal and Yasri Rizwi ma'am. And the pics were from the same day. Why the people have to comment hate on every post when they don't know the backstory. These days people are using social media as a means to support your favorites less and hate on others more.

Its sad that even in this day and age women can’t stop commenting on other women’s bodies. Agree with Aamna that it is not so simple as just saying ‘chill karo yaar, wazan kam kar lo’. As someone who has been through being on the heavier side and losing a significant amount of weight it is an extremely difficult process that takes the life out of you. It is a whole lifestyle change, not just a matter of eating less. Wish people could realize this and not make remarks on bodies and weight so flippantly.

Watched Mimi. Such a beautiful, emotional movie. A roller coaster of laughter and tears, with a good message.
Back home, 2 things never change. 1). Victim blaming . 2). Content of our dramas. Almost all dramas are based on just 3 elements, 1). Regression, 2. toxic obsessive relationships , 3). love triangles.
The world is showing an autistic boy qualified as a gifted surgeon, saving lives in ‘ The Good Doctor ‘, while our dramas show a normal boy wasting his life sitting at a mazaar, or suffering from low esteem just for a darker complexion.
If we don’t try to go international and change our content, we have no future.

We wouldn't have an issue with FM's tone deaf comment If she had the same ideology back when she was overweight. What's worse is that she should know how hurtful those remarks would be for someone struggling to lose weight since she herself definitely must have heard people speaking that way about or to her at some point. If you know the struggle the least you could do Is not make it any worse for others.
All it would have taken to fix the situation would have been a simple apology and statement that indicates her perception on these matters have changed now and that it's just a personal opinion but there's a way to say things and that clearly was not the way.
With the Sana and Azeka conflict especially after following HKKST and the infamous saying "don't judge a book by its cover" we really can't say so it's best to keep our mouths shut unless we know both sides of the story. People really need to learn how to be kind and not to be insensitive towards one and another.
But I'm so glad people are more vocal now and you guys have a platform to call out the hypocritical actions of some of the celebrities. We are all learning through mistakes and I hope the ones who have a mass influence on people act responsibly and/or try to rectify their actions upon realising their mistakes.

Weight loss is absolutely time consuming, mentally draining and stress again causes weight to increase. It's expensive, its so expensive and it's utterly confusing. Every week someone suggests you new diet. Then you have to get in touch with professionals and pay huge amounts. Then there are medical conditions, the medicines are expensive, again no clarity around them and do have side effects. Only for people who have gained weight just by over eating it may be easy to loose weight or people like actors who can give their whole time to the process. When you are working full time or a home maker who cooks for 6 other people, changing lifestyle is not a game. It can definitely be done, if one tries one can go to moon but everyone is different. Why shame someone for not being able to do this.

I have not eaten like a normal person in years, I am always managing my carb, sugar etc for last 3 years. I am still big. The only time I did loose weight when for 3 months I left every other task and just stop eating every carb and sugar even fruits like apples and one can imagine this can't be done in long run. So people who say easy are just speaking from a place of privilege and bias

It’s true people don’t realize that it is very very hard to loose weight. Its easy for people who have succeeded in losing weight to look down on others. It’s a shame that they are not empathetic towards people who are struggling. People who are struggling keep trying and have failed so by saying something to them about their weight is just to hurt them and nothing else. It’s cruel to do so.

Pakistani society and culture are 'husan parast' in the extreme, even more so than Indian culture where lots of their top heroines/heroes have been dark-skinned, not skinny, and don't all look the same. Beauty is very definitely not in the eye of the beholder in Pakistan. There is a very narrow conception of attractiveness/handsomeness/pyari/pyara that has remained the same for at least 80 years. Beautiful people are thin, very pale-skinned, with long sharp noses, longish layered hair for women, the same side parting, flicked hair, and very precise, chiseled stubble (which looks weird to non-Pakistanis as a stubble on a man is meant to look rugged!!!) regardless of the role. All this is very unusual. I am born in the UK and this is not true there and hasn't been since the '60s.
I have come to Pakistan at regular intervals in my life and am shocked at how easy people find it to comment on how other people look. This doesn't happen in the UK. It would be seen as very rude and antisocial. Pure strangers in Pakistan have said, things like howww, aap itne dark ho, bleach nahi kerte??? (I don't have dark skin by any standard other than in Pakistan) or hiii, aapki eye brows plick nahi hwi hein?? or Aap tou London se aye ho wahan dieting nahi kerte?? I was 13 years old at the time and the people criticizing were adults. In England, we face racism so bleaching my skin would be a betrayal of my race so I would never do it. This very tight definition of beauty is how they get to cast Ahmed Ji and darken his skin. I think he's good-looking, but he doesn't look like Affan Ji or Bilal Abbas Ji and they are considered beautiful so he must be ugly as there only seems to be beautiful and ugly in Pakistan and nothing in between. I Agree with Aamina Ji I think what Furkqan Ji said is very unhelpful and allows this very damaging discourse to continue.
As for Timeout with Ahsan Khan, I find all the interview situations on Pakistani TV (your interviews are perfect by the way) including news interviews to be highly problematic. They are opportunities for sensationalism, they are conducted unprofessionally and do not show respect to the artists they are interviewing. I really don't know how your adhkaar put up with it. The fact that they have to do these infantile games everywhere they go is beneath them, none of our UK stars would do this stuff unless it's for a charity drive (Electric shocks!!!!! Ridiculous). You say the comment Faryal Ji was asked to respond to was 3 years old, I checked back and Sami Ji was asked whether he had regrets today that a marriage to an actor didn't happen at least 13/15 years ago????????? What the hell??? His answer has the potential to hurt his wife? the other actor? his child??? And the comment by Faryal Ji has ended up hurting Hareem Ji. How were both these questions relevant now?? It is cheap and nasty and Ahsan Ji is too good an actor to be involved with this kind of nonsense.

Even they don’t label you as fat , they just give you the risks of being at this weight and options to reduce it IF YOU WISH TO. I totally disagree with amna saying that you can talk to or comment on someone according to your relationship with a person in public or on a PUBLIC platform. Even if faryaal n hareem r best buddies, faryaal shouldnt hav said that. Similarly amna n hassan being best buddies doesnt giv amna any right to call him stupid in a video professionally done. If said in a casual insta story or live it would hav been totally ok where u r presenting urself as friends and not professional critics.

It really is so shameful that people who are so influential and hopefully well aware are still making such remarks. I would however disagree a little with what you said about the kind of relationship one has with the person they're making comments about. I think it's still wrong especially on TV. Maybe koi celebrity apne dost hi ke baare main joke crack kr rahe hon but we have to realize that whenever it comes to making jokes about specific features of somebody's body, people who have those same features can feel insecure.
