Wow, what an experience that whould have been to be there. The location is incredible. The acoustics must have been amazing. Standing ovation from me. Bravo. Bravo....
I'd just about cleave someone in twain to record there! ;-)
good thing i was not there .....i would have bloody eagle that dude in blue !!!!!
Couldn't put it anybody, 100% in agreement with you, there's something truly magnificent about caves too, transcends all time, just wish all the audience were dressed up in robes too 😊 Spectacular!

J Meyer - I keep thinking the same thing. Even through an amateur capture, you can hear the acoustics rolling around the rocks. When the drums stop before the final recitation, it really takes awhile for the echoes to settle.
Makes me homesick for a place I’ve never been
me too
We are there in spirit
Ton esprit le connait, il s'en rappel❤
I 've never been there but when I saw it first I felt a spiritual connection with those people, place and environment; a strange feeling like I've been there in my dreams or dèja vue.
This Home ist in our Heart...
If the human soul and mother earth could sing together, it would sound like this
Aurora's voice has truly been blessed by Freyja. So hauntingly beautiful
5 years ago this woke something very ancestral and ancient inside of me and I’ve never been the same since . Five years later it still stirs my soul .
Exactly the same with me I listen sometimes and it breaks me I’m not afraid to admit I cry my eyes out I have no idea why but like you it’s like it’s part of me that’s been missing, hard to explain to be honest , maybe it’s from my mothers side she said our ancestors were Norse her maiden name is THORnton so maybe .
Because the sounds in music speaks directly to your heart and soul.
🥰🎶❤️
Heart does not need to understand the Norwegian words, heart understands anyway. 🎶🥰🎶
@@KarinGullhav this is so very true . I do wish I could make Norway my home tho . Watching videos of it , it looks exactly like my ideal afterlife.
Imagine hiking nearby and you hear this
Best. Hike. Ever.
I've done that here, tough the Island is Small so wont take too long, but its very beautiful
Nothing brings tears to my eyes faster than old world stuff like this and Heilung. It's like my spirit hears it way more than my ears.
I want this as my funeral song. A lost soul from Australia!!
It is a funeral song. I would also like this song as it examplifies my believes. Live a good life and live forever.
Spirit of our ancestors crying out for their people to remember who they are. Love this

I have no Nordic ancestry that I’m aware of, but for some reason I’m so drawn this music. It’s so hauntingly beautiful. And there’s something powerful about it that I can’t describe.
This goes beyond your ancestry, whether your Nordic,British,Native American or whatever,it goes right down into your DNA,it fuels that part that the modern world causes us to forget, that part that connects us all,it's part of all of us,it's the connection to our ancestors
the haunting power comes from our folk music often being in the minor key instead of the major. gives it a sad vibe.
@@andruid5054 Well said my friend.

So beautiful! I can't believe some random guy decided that talking during this performance that you really can't find anywhere else would half ruin everything.

Not just the people, but also the spirits of the land and the waters must have so enjoyed this. We should all sing to the lands, the skies, the waters the Goddess and the Gods at every opportunity.
This to be the soundtrack to my funeral
Aurora never fails to make me feel wonderful about earth’s natural creations
Imagine being on a hike a mile away from that mountain and hearing this.
I would be terrified
I wonder how many in that audience stumbled upon it the same way and stayed.
I would think it was the Æsir chanting.
I would go towards the sound and say let me join you to raid England.
I would be intrigued and follow the sound.
Why would you be terrified? This is not terrifying at all, quite the contrary actually.
This is evidence that music is a spiritual thing.
2023 and i still l come back to this song. Still as beautiful and powerful as ever. and very much needed at this time.
That is because the sounds in music speaks directly to your heart and soul.

@@kevinjhonson5925 Actully some International artists have complained about this in Norway. And I have to agree with you. Its disrespectful to both the artist and the other people who want to hear the music. Especialy when sometimes people pay a lot of money to see an artist. They knocked at the door of valhalla with there amazing voices🥺
Today marks the 40th day after the death of my sister from ovarian cancer. Our parents were born in Finland and immigrated here to America, where my sister and I were born. I've read that among the ancient Finns there was a belief that the spirit of the departed wandered the earth for around 6 weeks or 40 days before journeying across the icy black river to Tuonela (or Manala), the land of the dead. I did a ceremony out in my yard tonight to help my sister to make that journey. This song was playing in my mind as I did this.
May your sister rest in power, I believe her journey was safe and she is happy and at peace. The legacy of your parents and ancestors lives on through both of you 🙏🏼
Did I tell you brother that your sister was never lost to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. There are many things you will learn shalom your sister has been safe for a while now. She has no pain no suffering.
Even if it isn't my culture, I can almost feel my ancesters calling.
Me too...❤
I did a DNA test last year, 74% British and Irish, 24% eastern European, and around 2% from the kinds of places this comes from, it's only a little bit but I've always felt it's there when I hear this kind of thing.
Definitely homesick for somewhere I've never been. I wish I even had a home to be homesick for. This made me cry. I've failed my family. I needed this to remind me I can, and have to, do better if I ever want to be able to go home in the end.
The old gods aren’t dead.
They’re training their warriors.
How incredibly lucky these people are to witness such an amazing performance in such a beautiful place. I'm sure that mountain made the music even more spectacular. Chills everywhere.
I was thinking the exact same thing!!!
And some have the nerve to talk through it :(
It sure was an amazing consert!! I was there and by odin it was worth it.

Would be outstanding unreal experience. And - this is very far from the mainland in Norway, 33 nautical miles west of Sandnessjøen in the North of Norway. goo.gl/maps/Zx4r65x6TJWZMT3S7
this is an ancient Norse song of "singing" those who die over to the other side ( Hel, which was positive, not the Christian Hell and its place for the damned)........Helvegen is the road to Hel .......the song reminds us everything dies and that even after dying, one's reputation and life should be honored and remembered......the male singer is Einar Selvik of Wardruna.........
Idk what I'm hearing idk how I even got on this channel but this is Making my heart feel like I'm home it's so weird sorry if it sounds weird pls don't come for me I'm not myself understanding this
His voice is the voice of the gods. Whatever it is called, Odin, Zeus, Yahweh, Jupiter, Brahma ... a man has a frightening voice. The singer takes me to the past, almost to see those ancient battles of gods and people. Souls drowned in the sea of blood. They sing in such a way about something that most superficial people do not see, do not see and feel. People do not feel nature today. That is why such songs have a larger dimension.
That's Einar Selvik for you.
You ever hear a song, and it awakens a memory from lifetimes past? This song does that for me every single time.
Yes, and I have one more. Peace to NordiKa...

I cant believe those rude people in the front having a conversation during the performance. Maybe they should have stayed home to have their important discussion. Wardruna, Aurora and Oslo Fagottkor was powerful.
I agree. Astonishing self centredness.
It's just a conversation. Lol. Reminds me on the other week when a guy talked to me about how great the current singer was, in a pub, and a woman interrupted him saying he should be quiet and not disrespectful. He was perplexed. An hour later, he went on stage as the main gig. Always good not to be so judgmental.

Refugee welcome!
Ive listened to this song several times. I hope when Odin has read the last word of my life that im fortunate to hear this as my mortal life leaves.
I want this played at my funeral
I have listen to this song many times but this version really brought me into deep thought. How we lived as humans in ancient times and how we live now. So much more connected then. Thoughts reinforced with instinctual urges to go back. Walking the planet with other animals, gathering, hunting and raising families. We had intelligent advantages over animals thousands of years ago but sometimes I ponder that we have evolved too far and lost the true meaning to being human.
More human than human anymore
Then, there was dragons!
id say that we have kost what it means to live. to be human sounds like we are a so special being in this world but we arent. if you think about it in the cor we are nothing more than animals. but somehow because of our intelligence we really want to be special and in that we created a fucked up human society in which living means to always try to fulfill the wishes ideals of that so called society in which creation we long since had no play in. so we from scholl to death we work our asses of for nothing. cause in the end we all just want something to eat a family and a place to stay. but now we have states and religions and races and whatever funky reason we can think of to differentiate us from others and than probably hate them for being different. damn i should stop writing comments when im depressed.
@Deathcoldan if you read my comment youd see that i compare humans to animals and in a biological sense ther are no different human races.
And did you really just put family and states on the same level ? I mean i dont know your family but the concept of the nation has absolutly nothing in common with my understanding of a family. Theres a difference between a nation and a tribe .
@Deathcoldan oh goddess's titties. On a scientific level it doesn't exist. People adapted to their environments and it doesn't make one group superior or inferior.
Also the phrase cultural Marxism is so cliche. Please be more creative.
Ok if this will not play on my funeral I will not come
I would love to witness a performance exactly like this. With the mountain too. Seems like it would transport you to another time and place.
Except it doesn't transport you any where. Choose reality over daydreaming.
