One sign I got before the rotor failed is that it’s cover appeared hotter than usual. This fact together with the sudden engine stop and drained battery should be enough data to replace the rotor on time. unfortunately I didn’t and just before I decided to disassemble the rotor’s cover, I turned the engine on on more time and it collapsed , spraying all the magnets fragments all around the rotor and even contaminating the engine. So if you are and Fz1 owner , change the rotor with the updated piece.
@@mobleyMobley replaced the rotor with the updated one made by yamaha . The damage forced me to change the camshaft as well , since parts of the magnets fell inside the engine.
