    Your tutos are very intersting and often more interesting that what we can see on 1M channels. It's clear and complete. Keep'm coming !

      That's a great compliment thank you! It's nice there's a community who is interested in this stuff.

    been learning a lot from your videos. this is a really nice 80s e-piano sound

      Thank you. The wavetables are a lot of experimentation but that one really clicked into place with this patch.

      @@pjamesbridge do you know the Lately Bass patch? Would be cool to see if summit could do it 🤔

      @@ryanmelvey8764 I'm not very good at building patches by ear yet but I'll give it a try at some point

    Arpeggio during the sound design was great idea. Nicely mixed with your audio. Nice tips regarding use of the the mod matrix and wavetables. Just the right amount of simplicity and complexity for a great session. OSC1 fit nicely. Gratefully.

      I am trying to balance simplicity with just a bit of technical explanation and am glad you appreciated the delivery. Thank you for your comments!

      @@pjamesbridge Appreciate the sound design content applying both to Summit as well as Peak owners, or for that matter any "similar" analog/hybrid synth.

      @@winddealer1 I thought about calling this series something more general instead of "Novation Summit..." but I'm new at this and didn't want people to get here and realize it's not for them. You have a Peak right? My assumption is that all the video content has been relevant for the Peak except a few times where I've used Unison mode and the dual filter once...

      @@pjamesbridge Correct, I have a Peak and enjoy content creators like yourself. I Appreciate the level of effort involved in structuring the content, workflows and learning opportunities. Your format is terrific with great audio, video editing and nice pacing. Thanks again for investing your time for your viewers. Gratefully.

    Good stuff , thanks.
    I got my summit today.
    I destroyed every attempt to sound design, really badly.
    This is not usual for me, but I needed some inspiration as it was not cheap to buy for me.
    My end results at making Trax are fine, but I am no wizz kid at sound design thats for sure. 🤯

    • @pjamesbridge
      @pjamesbridge  Před 2 lety +1

      It's a lot of trial and error for me, and trying to keep it simple, which is sometimes hard to do with so many modulating options. Thanks for watching!

    It's simple. The Novation Summit is the best synth on the market since the Access Virus TI. Maybe the ASM Hydra as well. Maybe.

    Cool series! Thanks for sharing how to use this amazing synth. I was wondering, could you make a video creating a Shepard tone? I believe it should be possible, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. Would be awesome for film score music :)

      @pjamesbridge  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you for that! Well, I'm still learning so I feel like some of what I come up with involves a little bit of luck. But I will look it up and give it a try sometime. No promises haha! EDIT: Okay I came up with something I think is at least half decent and posted a video. Check it out!

    Is there a smooth transition when selecting one sound to the next?.....ie..the previous sound still rings on the keys pressed?.....

      @@pjamesbridge thks for your reply...u have a pretty busy schedule I am sure.......but I found a way after receiving the Summit... I just went on multi mode and one of the layers will continue to ring it's preset while the other layer can flip to other presets without cutting out the first preset.....and then whilst playing we can switch it over now the right hand layer can hold the ringing while the left hand layer changes presets..... another way is to split the keyboard.. thks for yr great videos!! Also jus recieved my Hydrasynth Deluxe and the same way works on it as well.....
