- This horse came to us as a "problem horse" that was bucking and biting and really needing some help!! Our good buddy Ryan Rose did the evaluation for his channel and we are bringing you the full training process like we did with Cisco the rearing and flipping over horse.
This is just part 1 of the series so stay tuned as we deep dive into the needs of this horse so we can help turn them into the horse that their owner can get along with and have success for the future!
Enjoy!

Yay! Long, in-depth videos! I love to watch paint dry and see the hues slowly change. So glad that you took her back to the very beginning - basic haltering. When people are told that a horse needs to be re-started, they jump in past this point. THIS is where the conversation starts. Btw, you made me LOL several times. I look forward to seeing her progress. Thanks for sharing!
Glad we could offer a chuckle!
Watched Remy with Ryan and thought she was going to turn out great…not a horse for an amateur, by any means, but the only thing that went wrong in her life was the unfortunate fact that she started out life with the wrong humans. Glad she has a second chance at life (literally) and that she was saved from the kill pen. Love watching you and Ryan. Thanks for all you do for horses 🐴 ❤
Thank you!
THIS should be a PRIMER for ANYONE that has anything to fon with horses!!!!!!!!
If anyone doubts the sensitivity of these animals, all they need to do is watch this!!!!!!!
This was a beautiful exhibition of how to push/not push a horse's sensitivities....
For people that have a bad day with their horses - think of how YOU came into the day's relationship!!!!!
They READ EVERY LITTLE MOVEMENT/LOOK WE MAKE😳😳🥹🥹
THECWAY YOU BREAK THIS HORSE AND HER INTERAVTIONS WITH YOU IS JUST BEAUTIFUL🥰🥰🥰
THANK you for what you do with these great animals.....
Like i said - REQUIRED VIEWING - for anyone that works with horses......❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏
I love RR's talents/philosophies......and im very happy that relationship has brought me here....
To read a horse (REALLY read a horse) is sonething not many people do - and sadly, mishaps happen (truly, they are not 'accidents ') it is generally NOT the horses fault cause the humans are NOT listening to their silent language!!!!!! We humans are verbal/horses are silent observers and process what they see silently....
Bravo for a GREAT piece of video that should be required watching for ANYone that has anything to do with horses👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Love the comment " oh weird it's like they're all connected, like a herd or something" 😂👏
😂😂
I love how realistic you are, and how you are slow and patient but persistent.
Thank you
Looking forward to watching this mare grow up! She has a chance to thrive and learn to trust.
Thank you
I just subscribed! I've watched Ryan for quite a while, but he can't sing as good as you! Look forward to following your methods and seeing Remi become. Appreciate your work and honesty.
Awesome! Thank you! I’ll tell Ryan you said so 😂😂
I found you via Ryans channel. In the UK, I’ve never seen anyone on any yard do anything other than force their will on the horse. It’s so refreshing to see a horse centric approach
Thank you!
Steve Young Horsemanship in the UK is great to watch also, since you are in the UK. He also does demos. And Warwick Schiller (not in the UK but has the same approach). They both focus on horse behavior, influence of your gaze, and talking in a language the horse will understand. As a new horse owner, I enjoy watching all of these types of trainers because I learn from all of them.
@@agelesskelly9752 i watch Warwick as well but will have to check out Steve Young 👍🏼
@@agelesskelly9752 also Sean Coleman is a great uk based guy
Yup, the majority of Europe has no clue about these methods. The East and South live in the Middle Ages where you fight the horse physically into submission and keep it chained beside the cows and the West tortures horses in their own way without any ground work.
And, Steve Young is really good indeed.
Chestnut in adjoining stall: EXCUSE me, but I'M the star, here!
I love you demonstrating listening and waiting and honoring and experiencing this beautiful horse. Thank you
Thank you too!
What a treat!
We get to see this horse through yours & Ryans channel!
TWO, longer horsey videos!😁
Yay! Thank you!
Check out Steve Young Horsemanship.
He helps horses and owners locally in Uk but also travels around the world!
So nice to see someone that is willing too take the time to go back to the beginning to rebuild trust and find the holes in the foundation.
Thanks
I watched Ryan’s video, and she seemed limesuch a promising mare I came over here to see how she progresses. I think with the right training she’s going to be a delightful horse.
Agreed
I love seeing a horse being saved. I found you through Ryan. Your analogies are awesome. I appreciate you not just breaking a horse.
Thank you
Your demonstration of the bubble is fabulous. Also love your dry humor and sarcasm 😂 Really looking forward to seeing this girl get the gift of confidence and security and understanding how to communicate, lucky girl to have ended up where she is! Beginning of a new life for her.
10:24 important shift happens there, love to see it ❤
Edited to add: you made some major progress in this session!! Happy to have found you through Ryan’s channel!
Thanks so much! 😊
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed vision/focus in this horse. She looks to me like she's trying to bring your hand into focus by tilting her head. I mentioned it on Ryan Rose's channel that she reminds me of a friend's horse who had one of those feathery growths on the edge of his pupil, where it blocked his vision looking downward on one side. Also glad to hear you singing to the horse. It probably sounds silly, but I've often found singing calms nervous horses. Great job. She was really enjoying your company, and you will probably be able to do that in half the time tomorrow, and a quarter of the time the next day. She is a very nicely put together horse. If you can get her past this, and I'm sure you will, she is going to make a tough, sound working partner for many years.
Exactly right. Half the time second session. Actually closer to a quarter. It’s filmed and could be up maybe tonight. Thanks for being along for the ride
You and Ryan have such gentle patient approaches with the horses. Clear explanations of what ,why and how you are doing what you do with the horse. Reme is in very good calm hands. Beautiful horse. Nice work.
Thanks!
Great video Jake. Love the finer points and deets about the bubble. The boop makes it memorable. ❤️
Thank you!
She regarded you quite nicely to begin. She is starting to understand that not everything is going to kill her. The language is beginning. Love the new start for her. To me It looks like an awakening. Nice work.
Thank you!
Glad I found your channel .I've followed Ryan for many years , and saw his recommendation of your channel. So pleased you are going to be training this mare and I look forward to watching the series ,and learning more.
New subscriber from the UK.😊
Awesome! Thank you!
It’s so great to see more UK subscribers here and with Ryan. I’m from Dorset. Their respective patrons are great value for money and very worthwhile….just sayin.😊
What I get from this video is that Less is more. Instead of going for Broke from the start. 👍
💪🏻👍🏻
@@peartreeranch I had absolutely zero experience with Horses. I never even road a horse. Let a lone train one. My wife and I adopted 4 wild mustangs, yeah it may not have been the smartest thing we’ve ever done🤷🏽♂️. Nevertheless our journey began. we tried to learn why the horse does what a horse does. Only ask a horse to do what it can handle and no more. (Ask a little , get a lot ).the approach and retreat with timing method. I see it’s the way you and Ryan train and it worked for us. Two of our horse are now under saddle and one probably within a month the last one is a special case. He’s an extremely scared horse, he going to take a bit longer to get ride of the fear. A appreciate videos like your 👍
She seemed a whole more nervous in that small area with him than she did with Ryan in the round pin. Just a beautiful horse. Can wait for the day she isn't afraid..
Yeah the smaller space makes it hard to give her room and not always feel pressure.
@@peartreeranch I know you will get her there and can't wait to see the end for a beautiful life for this horse.
A great demonstration on creating a bubble! So calming and quiet. I also watch Ryan’s videos
Awesome! Thank you!
Ryan Rose sent me 😊
Glad you made it
Your patience is so important. This is a highly frightened horse and you gave her time. She needs to learn how to be a domesticated horse and you are helping to rehabilitate her.
Thanks
This was so cool to see Remy learn to trust & have confidence with you.!!
Yes!
Ryan Rose sent me
Glad you made it!
Thank you for being honest and what you say most people are not that honest and I'm glad you are
You’ve even got me relaxed. LOL
Much Respect. Thank you Sir.
Very welcome and thank you
Heya, Jake. This poor gal seems like humans have been a scary trip. Glad you’re giving her a better chance. ❤️
Yeah we will do our best
Found you through Ryan. I am in awe with your technique and love how you explain what you are doing (or trying to do) in its simplest form. Patience is key. Thank you. I’m looking forward to watching your progress.
Thanks and welcome
I'm watching from the UK I love watching you and Ryan especially after watching horse plus humane society in tennessee trying to save horses from going to slaughter .kindness obviously pays off.
Thank you!
😂😂😂😂 love your voice changes as if the Horst is talking 😂😂😂😂. Oh Jake you said that correct word😅very true. Love it, your personality is fun.😂😅😊
Thanks so much!
Love the concept of "massaging the bubble" this is so true and a great approach to horsemanship
So much patience and understanding. It's a masterclass.
Much appreciated!
This is amazing teaching. I have never heard of a horse having a bubble and how to approach and retreat. Thank you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
I truly enjoyed this video ,love the way you’re showing us how to respect the horses space as well as showing the breakdown of the horses body language ,what the horse is thinking and how we should react to it.Also I never thought about how our shadow can extend into the horses bubble that was awesome.Thank You so much ❤ Would really love the link to see the other horse Sisco and looking forward to the steps in this horses new life .Thank you so much for posting this video👏🥰

Thank you!
Ryan’s the best! I had the great fortune to take a 10 day course with him, I learned SO much! Observing his use of energy up and energy down, how it influences the horse, is always such a good reminder for me. Love watching his videos! 🫏
Jake, I think you meant to say Jake is the best. 😂 Ryan’s great too of course.
First thought was oh no ! Another cowboy! Nice work !!
👍🏻😂
Nice job! Some days it's like watching paint dry but you're building trust and a foundation. 👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you, I've never been a 'horse-person' and you've just shown me how to approach horses and most animals. Patience, reading them, and gentleness. Subscribed.
Wonderful!
This is the second video I watched of this Horse.
After watching both videos, and me being around horses.
This horse has been mistreated earlier in his life.
That's why this horse doesn't trust no one!
I've been around horses that are jumpy or easily spooked.
That's because I've seen the way their owners treat them.
If you get treated a certain way, you too would have trouble trusting others!
This is a really good horse, it doesn't trust people because of something that happened in the past.
Animals and people are the ssme.
If you've been mistreated you're gonna have a hard time trusting anyone else!
It's that simple.
You have to have patience with animals and people as well.
She's a sensitive horse. I hope she can be trained well for her new owner.
I hope so too.
@twildy8917 I really like horses like this and I also have one of them at my side. But I'm lucky, mine grew up with a horse lady as a saleswoman and everything is always easy
The horse being untrained, partially trained, well trained or other is NOT the problem. The horse owner needs training. Sending the horse to a horseman and then sent back to her will not work. The human needs to understand horsemanship and learn horse language.
Soo glad to see her again. She's absolutely a stunning horse. Wonder how she got that nasty scar on the top of leg?! Guess we'll never know....❤🐎❤️
Agreed
New subscriber. I watched the first video with this mare. She's beautiful- happy she was rescued from a kill pen. ❤❤
Thanks for being here!
Definitely takes A LOT of patience. Thank you for the detailed explanations!
You're welcome!
Your approach is SO refreshing! Thank you for understanding the sensitive nature of the beautiful equine. It is so very needed.
Thank you
I really enjoyed this first video I’ve seen on your channel. It was the most comprehendible horse training video to me, that I’ve ever seen. It was also really funny.
Thank you
I am such a horse lover. It has been quite enlightening watching videos on training and leaves me shocked. I knew nothing about there boundaries, every horse i ever came upon i would reach, pet and love dearly. How fortunate i was never attacked 😄
Glad it was helpful!
he needs to get the f over it *GASP*🤣🤣
😂
You're informative, knowledgeable, and full of humor. Enjoyed your video
Thank you!!
First time here from Ryan. Perfect content.
Thank you glad you’re here

Shes still adjustingvto Jakes 'invasion ' of her space....shes trying - shes REALLY trying......❤❤❤
This was fascinating, thank you so much Jake.
My pleasure!
Loved the video!

Love this video!! Thank you for the detailed explanations. Very helpful ❤
Thank you!
Beautiful horse, saw it on Ryan’s,imo she needs much more patience, lots of time, love and treats probably from one person, best wishes from Germany 🍀
Thanks for watching
also many greetings from Germany.
I also followed Ryan's advice and now here
I listened with my critical "eye". until I was satisfied with your nature around the horse. I sub'd. I'll be watching🤠
First time here, loved watching you
Thanks!
This was fun to watch! Just started following your channel and looking forward to the next video with this horse. :)
Welcome aboard!
Dude, you're so funny 😂
Thanks!
You seem to be very intelligent as far as working with horses.
I can respect that more than you will ever know sir .
Thanks
Great video and explanation. It’s awesome to see the emphasis on doing things very slow, being able to read the horse when it communities. Love seeing the gentleness. This is the way to cowboy up! No aggression! You guys rock!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video buddy. Love the way you explain everything.
I appreciate that!
First time I'm waching this and I just love you guys already 😊the way that you explain every step of the way its great. I always had problem to understand some things because I'm new to the horses world but through reading and watching all kinds of trainers I learn a lot and you are really good with how you teach also people to understand their horses ❤.
Thank you!
I can not imagine branding a horse. They are way too sensitive for that. She’s so beautiful & with unusual markings. She seems capable of learning to trust.
She's coming around.
That horse is beautiful.
One of the best videos/commentary I have watched on personal space for the horse and human. Look forward to watching the full series with this horse :) Thank you both. Always my go to when faced with an issue. Favourite line - Oh you booped me and I kinda liked it ha ha
Thank you
I absolutely love your channel! So looking forward to seeing you gentle her and bring out the best in her with your patience and expertise.
Thank you so much!
Excellent timing and patience
Thank you
If you watch the training to the end, you’ll see she is worth working with! Just needed training.
Thanks for the support
You’re an awesome teacher & so thoughtful listening to Remmy. Love your videos.
Great video❤
Thank you!!
Looking forward to seeing Remy's progress. from Anne, in England.
Thanks !
First video watched. I really like your attitude & slow steady progress in building relationship. Very attuned to the horse. Wonderful to watch.
Absolutely lovely to see this equine conversation.
Thanks!
I like your style bro!!!
I appreciate that!
I learned so much about patience with the Parelli Program. Sometimes it is like watching paint drying. Nice job Jake.
Jake and Ryan explain things so much better to me than Parelli.
Thanks!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
It took 32 minutes to catch her, day 1. And the owner wanted to just jump on and ride and was shocked she bit and bucked... So many holes, a grand canyon amount of knowledge and experience she needs before a saddle is even involved.
Anxious to hear how long it takes to catch her on the successive days.
1/4 of the time. 5 minutes today. Next few videos are filmed and almost ready!
Here thanks to @RyanRose!!! Looking forward to your chanel!!!
Welcome!!
She's going to be a nice riding horse 🎉. She has a very unique paint pattern, pretty pony ❤
I truly like 👍 you, dude. 😊
Thanks! 😃
Ryan way too far away but you are maybe an hour. I subscribed. When I can I will see your other posts.
Thanks for the sub!
Glad you
Nice analogy with the whole bar scene lol 😜👍
Glad you liked it!
Awesome!! you are very entertaining enjoyed your video could not stop watching, thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you so much 😁
I like how you’re balancing I hear you and understand your fear with ok it’s time to drop the drama and you put in some effort to try as well.
Gotta have that balance! Thanks for appreciating it!
Thank you Jake!
Thank you!
Great video. So clear what you are doing.
Thank you!
Thanks!
You are welcome and thank you!
Learned a lot from this Video .
Glad you enjoyed!
Super nice real--time video, thnx for all the extensive explanations!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Found you on Ryan Rose channel - excited to see her progression! Love this partnership
Welcome aboard!

Nice - love the Rep- set idea that is a good measuring stick . . I will see how I can measure give a good indicator for future work with my horse. I have 15 yr old we had bad accident 9 yrs ago and he was already a rt brain extrovert & goes feral in a week. So this is a nice tool Thank you
You are welcome! Thanks for watching
She looks like she has a Mustang nose; is she a Mustang Paint? Wow, it's very nice 👌 to watch her training. Is she registered as Mustang? I can tell she has a gental demeanor. She's going to be a sweet ride.🎉
👍👍
💖💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you
I rescued a feral filly from a kill pen in 2022 , I've took things slow and she's been learning at liberty with treats and positive reinforcement, and approach and retreat. We are working on self halter but I can't touch her other than on face, she will eat out of my hand, and doesn't bolt anymore when doing barn chores and walking behind her. My question is will this work with her if I can get her in a closed stall ? In a round pen she is not so relaxed and is better at coming to me at liberty. I need get her halter broke and more comfortable with touch, what do you suggest?
We are doing a series on Patreon on teaching a horse to be better to catch. I’m showing g how I use long sticks to tame her and we will be moving on to “roping” the horse to share about Tami g to a rope and those two different tools help tame to the touch at a distance. I think we are going to g to that next with this horse so you may be seeing g that stuff in this series.
I’m confused. Shouldn’t you retreat your hand before she turns her nose away from you?
