Maybe then he only interfered where he felt like it and knew it wouldn’t have any lasting effects on history (butterfly effect and all), or expose him for existing and being immortal. He knew they would die, and along with them, the knowledge that a little fuzzy blue guy said there would be a lake named after them.
(I highly doubt this series has any actual lore behind it but sure is fun to theorize about it lol)

I was thinking the exact same thing! Puppet history is basically the modern day version of the muppets, plus it seems closer to the adult humour that Jim originally intended for the muppets to have.

Exactly. Kids will always hear something they aren't supposed to. It's up to the parents to teach them right and wrong, not shame them for learning it.

Can we talk about how genuinely and sweetly concerned Jermaine was when Ryan started to "choke"??
Since The Professor doesn't digest his jelly beans, that means that he isn't eating them for nutrition, and must be eating them for some other reason. As we have seen in previous videos, eating the jelly beans from the sealed containers turns humans into puppets. However, the jelly beans from The Professor's bag do not turn humans into puppets. In this video, The Professor established that the bag beans are actually pooped beans, but since the sealed beans are sealed, they must be the eating beans. Once he eats the beans, he absorbs the puppet powers, which is why the pooped beans do not affect the humans that eat them.
Because of this, I believe that The Professor was actually human, but is using the power of his magic jelly beans to become a puppet. By becoming a puppet, he may be able to evade the mysterious genie hunting him down. Perhaps he is even using the game show to get more jelly beans since he cannot open the sealed jelly beans due to the fact that he has no muscles, however, the contestants can open them when they win them. We have also established that the process of becoming a puppet isn't a very pleasant one, so perhaps after the winner eats a jelly bean or two, they no longer want the remaining magic beans and will return them to The Professor. That way, The Professor will be able to get more jelly beans without having to risk his disguise in order to get the muscles to open the bag.
However, it seems that the puppet disguise doesn't work perfectly, and just postpones the return of the genie since it seems that the genie is getting closer and closer. That would explain why he has lived through so many eras, as he has to find a new time to hide in once the genie tracks down where he has hidden. Perhaps by turning other creatures and intimate objects into puppets, it makes it harder to track where The Professor is since he is just one in a sea of animated puppets. Additionally, the songs at the end of the show could be part of or perhaps attempts at a spell that can take him to a new era. That is why he needs them in every show, as he might have to test out or perhaps build up layers of this spell, which each new puppet contributing to their own part of the spell that will help him flee to a new era and evade the dastardly genie. We will just have to see where this goes.

After the season 4 finale, I thought it would be fun to go back through the other videos and find out the real scores in each to see if Ryan actually won any. This will be focused on the points won during the questions only, not the extra points the professor gives out willy-nilly.
Actual Score: Ryan had 2 points and Jermaine had 6. The guest won fairly.
So out of curiosity, how many trophies should Ryan have won? Have you finished your research?

I wrote my master's thesis in history this year and I actually found my topic through this episode. I wrote a comparative analysis of Lady Mary's descriptions of the women she met in the Ottoman Empire and in Europe in her letters. I actually got a high grade for it! Then, during my thesis defence, I got the dreaded question; how did I come up with my topic? I had to say a youtube documentary because I didn't feel like trying to explain the chaotic glory that is Puppet History to my professors. Anyway, thank you for essentially giving me my MA thesis topic!

In 2004 some small pox scabs were found in a civil war book and where sent to CDC where they got studied and in 2014 there were 6 sealed vial of smallpox found in a cold storage and again were sent to CDC for study and 2 were viable and the cultured them for study on the dead virus, however they were then also destroyed. Only place to found sample now is in Russia.

I think the finale will be about the Loudun possessions. The last item on the Prof's semester list (seen at the end of Emu War) looks like it says 'Loudun' and a quick search brings up a town in France that had a bunch of nuns claiming to be possessed by demons/the devil.

They have also been very open and vocal about not always getting the correct strain for that season. Most of all vaccines are not scams. It's a shame that most people are really ignoring common sense and basic science. 😩

Vaccines were responsible for helping to greatly curb or basically eradicate such things like; polio, smallpox, rubella, measles, chicken pox, tetanus, pertussis, mumps, diphtheria, rpv, and so many more. To say that vaccines do nothing and are a scam is totally untrue & complete misinformation.

a) You can, obviously vaccinate against Covid. People are getting vaccinated and they are at much lower risk of contracting the disease, if they ever do contract it, it is milder and go away faster.
b) Influenza is a very different virus from Covid. The viruses most similar to Covid would be other coronaviruses. There are a lot of them. SARS and MERS being prime example.
c) It is rather irrelevant as most covid vaccines are not based on the virus itself but on specific spike proteins from the virus. So totally different story from the flu.
d) The flue vaccine is actually more effective than nothing. Definitely not a scam.

As a pre-med student, let me tell you how this is the most entertaining retelling of the history of smallpox I've seen.
check out sawbones! it's a podcast about all the dumb stuff humans have tried to use as medicine lol it's made by a wife and husband duo and the wife is a medical doctor. my favorite episodes are the Oregon trail, coffee (did you know coffee enemas are a thing), tea, possession, fertility, fever, and body temperature!
Coffee ☕️ is pretty healthy though
