    If the government delayed interest deduction reintroduction. This money could have been used to buy 5,000 houses listed by Barfoots in Auckland. It would mean inside a month 5,000 people out emergency houses. The government would own them just for 5 years. Housing nz would build 5k to 10k house over that time. Rent and capital gain would fund the construction.

    If you cared about Kiwis and our carbon footprint- you'd exit the failing state of NATO and throw our lot in with the global south of which we are a part, embracing Brics nations (the Polar opposite of murica and their repugnant foreign policy, - which lays low our own being complicit in their disgusting actions) ... you'd also borrow the money from China's infrastructure bank and do rail properly. Top to bottom through strategically placed distribution hubs, employing small electric trucks for satellite deliveries from said strategic freight forwarding hubs. It is a huge cost to implement, but bar maintenance- it's a one-off cost, that then starts filling government coffers once it's paid it's establishment cost, then it's all gravey from there. That's how you think big. Also, light rail that is free in Auckland takes a LOT of cars off the road and frees up traffic forced to be there. Doing this will also take heavy trucks hauling freight of the road, lowering highway maintenance, which is huge - more money for the governments coffers to be reinvested in nz and Kiwis.
    Btw "over the last few years" paaaalease!!! 4+ decades of your Rogernomics did this, and what's needed now is a government unafraid of 10+ year infrastructure projects.
    Look around - for one of the richest countries in the world - it's a lot like our dated parliament house that looks alright but is ultimately not fit to live in, apparently.

      The only problem is New Zealand economy gdp $279 billion in 2023 estimate NZ can't just ask rich people immediately for money and I agree with luxon economic needs to grow and New Zealand would get military defense and houses have been lowered down. if people get back to work for the economy gdp and per year salary. law and order has been going good for couple of months i see police almost every when I go for walk around Manurewa. Migration should be accepted since New Zealand had tasm treatment Australia house increase building should be good too and Winston Peter also doing well helping Tonga and Samoa and Cook Islands for climate change and Heath care I am hoping results for next couple of years

      @lyalljunior975 we can ask China- that's what their infrastructure bank is for, and how they built the BRI ...don't believe the debt trap diplomacy propaganda, it's been debunked for ages, they actually forgave some of the loans. Win win is a far better policy than zero sum. the only reason we can't ask is because America wouldn't allow it. They're gonna drag us into another war, and it's only a matter of time.

    • @rp7784
      @rp7784 Před 12 dny

      What do you mean by beat?
      Due to increasing unemployment in NZ more Kiwi's are moving to Australia, attracted by higher wages and lower cost of living.
      Australian transport and infrastructure is more efficient than NZ, which improves their productivity and encourages investment.
      The funding and financing models are also more effective than in NZ, you don't often hear about bursting water pipes or water restrictions in Australian urban centres.
      Canada is in a even more enviable position so I'm not sure what you mean by "WILL BEAT AUSTRALIA AND CANADA".
