they look yummy 😋
Her Vogue video of her eating British foods is such a joy. She's so charismatic to listen to when speaking about food. Must watch.
Agreed
I love that one!!
I've watched that multiple times, I adore her!!
Yes. I love that one
Same here, love that one
As a Brit, we absolutely know that a full English isn’t healthy at all, but we do not care. They taste so good! It’s definitely isn’t an every day thing and even though they aren’t necessarily balanced they do keep you full for a long time. They do often have baked beens and tomatoes so it isn’t all saturated fat and oil and grease
It’s a great tradition!
Tomatoes count as a vegetable right?
@@Kathywake23 they are a fruit but we use them as a vegetable 😊 they are healthy!
I’m American and love a full English breakfast, makes it easy to make it to lunch
Depending on the amount of food and salt I actually think it sounds fine - health wise.
This is the first time I've ever felt like I can relate to a famous actress - we both consume an extortionate amount of eggs daily! I always end up regretting having an eggless breakfast when I opt for something else. They're just so satiating on a morning, there's nothing quite like an eggy brekky for me. But I must say, hearing Florence talk about food in such a healthy and balanced way is so refreshing. I hope that her approach to food will never be tainted by Hollywood - I would be so sad if I heard Florence talk about food in a way that e.g. Kelly Ripa talks.
I have blood sugar issues and nothing keeps it balanced like eggs
Eggs are the main reason why I can't be vegan. Eggs are comfort food, honestly.
Yet the 3 or so billion egg laying chickens live in horrendous filthy conditions and are killed at a year & a half old, bred to lay every day which is unnatural. That's why vegans don't eat eggs not cause we never liked them. Eat something else that gives you comfort, honestly.
Honestly, Florence's language and take on food is so wholesome compared to other celebrities! I totally see what you mean about her sounding like a food writer, I think she'd be fantastic at it 💜 This video was so refreshing!
I love Florence. She's such an inspiration to me, and her relationship with food (plus her Cooking with Flo series) really has helped me in healing my own relationship with food. Seeing a celeb I love and look up to be so positive really makes a difference, plus she helped me get into cooking! ❤️
Aw love that
This video has made me appreciate Florence Pugh even more. How is it possible that I have never watched her food videos???
I love her laid back approach. Like “yeah this is what I eat. And I love it.”
I also love a good “cold plate dinner”. As a kid, my mom refused to cook on Sunday nights more than opening a can or making a sandwich. So in the summer she would just set plates of cheese, cold cuts, fruit, sliced homegrown tomatoes, and sliced cucumber down on the table with a loaf of bread and a box of crackers and you kind of just did whatever you wanted with it. You could make a sandwich or homemade lunchable with lots of fresh seasonal fruit and veggies on the side. (I was always excited when fresh cantaloupe made it on to the table.) As an adult, I will still do this, although often I go a little more Mediterranean and will add in hummus and pita, diced feta, and some olives along with my fruits and veggies. It’s a great summertime dinner for when you don’t want to heat up your house cooking. It’s also great for a fridge clean out.
this is pretty much one kind of traditional dinner in the part of germany i grew up in. it's all about the quality of the ingredients
@@AirborneAshes Abendessen ist Brotzeit! bissle Käs bissle wurscht 😄 mittags gibt's warm
Honestly in the summer, that’s a great dinner. I never want anything hot or too heavy so I snack a lot - so I’d have a cold plate spread out during the day
I love that no part of her interview was about weight. No part. It was genuinely about her love of how beautiful food can be, and yes! Food is marvellous
The way Florence speaks about food genuinely makes me want to eat, like a well cooked meal that I spend time and love cooking. She’s really inspired so many to just love and appreciate eating I feel
I loved her lockdown cooking videos. You could tell the joy she gets from preparing food.
Yes!
I love you Abby, but I also have to shoutout to your editor. The “Stewy-Tea”, chef’s kiss
I’m so glad you did this review. Florence is the bomb. Her relationship with food and her own mental health is amazing. She is so much more centered than I was at her age.
Florence is my yellow. She makes my view on food so much better when I struggle throughout recovery because I am such a foodie. She is such a great human being in general.
Her relationship with food is beautiful! I’m so glad she is a rising star in the industry.
it's so refreshing hearing a celebrity be so passionate about food and eating, she was making me hungry just listening to her. on another note, as someone trying to eat more calories this entire channel is so informative and motivating.
on the marmite issue: vegemite (the australian version) is by far superior, it's less gooey and has more of a spreadable texture, the flavour is also slightly different. i love it to death but i can't have it because of my gluten intolerance. sad times.
You can get a gluten free version of vegemite now
@@sallylatimore7799 omg i'm delighted. i'll have to see if i can order it online
Florence's Dad used to own a great cafe near me...hearing her describe his breakfasts really took me back!
I like the way Florence talks about food - it's so vivid and colorful and sensual, and her passion and appreciation really comes through. It's refreshing!
Florence's WIEIAD was brilliant. I've been doing her breakfast tomatoes since it came out, they're amazing. I love Marmite but I actually have Pernicious Anaemia which, in simple terms is B12 deficiency (it's more complicated than that but I digress) and I find I actually crave it as I get nearer to needing a B12 injection, funny how the human body works.
this is why intuitive eating is so essential. it's truly a gift to be able to feel what your body needs and then act on it appropriately. i've been sodium deficient a few times and when in conjunction with intuitive eating phases it's often been like "huh, craving chips/fries? must be low on sodium" lol
I never thought about marmite for my pernicious anemia! Gonna grab a jar
lmao my doctor mom once told me about her patient who had a craving to eat mud and how she already knew they were iron deficient before the blood test
This is my first time seeing a Florence interview and I appreciate her so much. You can tell she genuinely enjoys food and understands balance.
This is the first interview with Florence I've seen, and I already love her. It's clear that she has a passion for eating healthy food and appreciates the need of moderation. ✨ Xo Heather Thrills
Binging on things you don’t naturally like really resonated with me, especially with sweets during the height of my own disordered eating (orthorexia-like). When I stopped restricting and ate intuitively, I realized I was not much of a sweets person either and just enjoyed it from time to time.
This was really interesting Abbey!! I always love your videos, and you've even helped me repair my own relationship with food and my body. I've been on my own weight gain journey and your tips about meals have been super helpful. Thank you! Love from Hollywood 🤗❤💕💕💕💕💕
Thanks for watching!
I found this interview so refreshing and was looking forward to you reviewing it!
Perfect!
Whenever I was sick as a child, I would stay with my grandmother and she would make me drink a teaspoon on Marmite dissolved in a mug of hot water, she swore by it. Considering she lived well in to her 90s, I think she was on to something.
Now being married to an Australian, it's Vegemite all the way 🙂
Lots of b vitamins as well as magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron and selenium so yes good call to your Gran
Lots of b vitamins as well as magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron and selenium so yes good call to your Gran
Lots of b vitamins as well as magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron and selenium so yes good call to your Gran education is key and people know nothing about nutrition these days sadly
I LOVED this video! It is really refreshing. Also, as someone who’s had a “less complex” relationship with food, I still do relate to some of the experiences Pugh and yourself brought up (ie realizing I actually don’t care too much about sweets when I was old enough to explore my palette on my own). I also never thought to have a charcuterie dinner! I do feel like even those who don’t have the most intense/complex relationship with food, the way which we categorize and stigmatize certain foods will still ingrain itself into how you think about food
Marmite with cheese on toast! It's the best snack ever! Also growing up if my mum hadn't cooked dinner or lunch because our meal before had been a big one and no one wanted something huge, we just routed around in the fridge and helped ourselves, it mainly consisted of a piece of fruit, cheese, crisps (potato chips I'm from the UK) some cold meat etc. We called it a tinkers meal or bits n bobs x
Yes yes yes
I love Florence so much. I love how real she is about everything and I love how she feels about the food she eats. Yay!
Love flo! thank you as always for the education and information!
🥰
Her attitude and relationship towards food is refreshing!
I’d love to see a video on Jannette McCurdy and her new book.
Yassss to a full English and to Marmite ...oh the joy Florence radiates when she talks about food so bloomin refreshing to not hear about lemon water ....yes to the Yorkshire tea !! ❤
well, she is just an absolute delight, isn't she?! I love this one! Thanks, Abbey! 🥰
I love you Abbey! You validate everything I believe about food and nutrition and eating. I do want to say that alongside my ADHD diagnosis I am only now recognising that I do not have typical hunger cues. I recognise i'm hungry when i'm crying over the printer not working, or falling asleep after my coffee. I try to have a bit of a food routine so I have a habit of eating, but I am also working really hard on checking in with myself about hunger. But I have to say that eating what you FEEL LIKE when you're HUNGRY is simply one of the best things! I love food and thank you so much for helping to heal my relationship with food
I hope this is all true cause my god it’s so refreshing to see someone not jump on the “clean food trend” or counting calories I knew she was amazing
That’s how I make my tea too. Not that I’m English but it’s so good that way!
Wait?! Can you please make a video of your weird food combos that you referred to?! That would be a great vid!
Such a fun video! I can’t wait to have a “cold plate” supper with my sons.
Florence is so refreshing, and I agree with you about her descriptions.
“No runny white bleurgh” hahahahaha I hear you
marmite is so delicious and it has such a complex flavor. it’s so umami with a hint of bitterness, and i love a light smear of marmite and butter on toast. a little goes a long way! i love to have this marmite toast with eggs, and i like to make them soft boiled and dip little toast sticks into the runny yolk. Omg, i just ate and i am hungry again
I felt this when she said no runny whites on the eggs yes girl. I truly absolutely can't do slimy egg whites.
Love a girl who loves to eat 😍 I’m also obsessed with the sensory experience of food. Almost everything I eat needs to be enjoyable or satisfying. Never understood people who scarfed down plain/boring foods. I will pack herbs, lemon juice in my packed lunches because those often take dishes to the next level.
I'm absolutely loving the hair styling lately! 😍
Also from 🇬🇧, and yes, we do love a fried egg here! As a veggie, I do a veggie version of an English brekkie and as others have already said, Flo’s tomato concoction is delish!
I loved this video! Made me feel very food safe ♥️
I love this ❤
We called it a Snackies dinner in my family and it always involved all the cheese, olives and baby pickles.
She used to do cooking vlogs on her Instagram story years ago :( I miss them they were so fun to watch
Great and cheery content, Abbey!😊
This was so refreshingly delightful and wholesome!
So I’ve never had marmite but I am fully a lover of the carrots and peanut butter. I started eating the combo out of convenience because I’d normally also bring an apple with me and as I started expanding my foods, raw carrots were on that list. It was just easier to dip my carrots in the peanut butter. Now I just generally like it.
Soooo refreshing!!! Reminds me so much of Ashley graham’s what I eat in a day :) love these women!
I love Florence Pugh! And I love how she talks about food too.
I adore her. She is so genuine.
My mom made us eat “healthy” growing up too so when I would go to friends’ houses, I would go crazy! I would eat all the chips, cookies, candy, etc bc I was so jealous and felt like I was missing out. We also barely ate fast food so when I got a car I would sneak fast food all the time. Now I’m working on my relationship with food after a constant deprive and binge cycle my whole life.
❤️❤️❤️thank you for talking about how important it is to feel hunger. I have gastroparesis and am in a weight loss mode (not a happy thing for me), and cannot feel hunger very often. People think it must be so great but I have to work hard to eat enough to not pass out, hunger & appetite are life saving forces and yes, absolutely celebrate! I come here bcuz I know you will always be talking about the importance of eating, not how to avoid it.
PS between you and Florence, wow this episode was helpful for my right-now appetite, I think due to hearing an RD talk about yummy, gooey, deliciousness and how healthy it can be. Thank you! Had a rough day, almost skipped solids entirely, am now having potato casserole, cream spinach, a lot of lactose pills lol, and chicken. It will cause me some pain but not eating leads to something worse... Really, thank you ❤️ downloading this episode so I always have it...
i love marmite! i often have it for breakfast on a bagel or toast ❤ love florence’s attitude to food
A “half full English” is what you call it when, instead of getting two of everything, which is normal in a full English (two eggs, two sausage, two bacon etc) you just have one. It’s great because you get the variety but it’s not such a large meal. Although I see she said she does have two eggs with it, which makes sense if she likes eggs a lot.
Flo is legit one of my favorite celebs, this just adds to it.
LOVED this WIEIAD so much!!! ❤
Great video, thanks for sharing
Toast with marmite, avocado and sriracha is one of my go to lunch staples. Top it with the runny yolk from a fried egg and OMG 🤤
Love your videos!
When I first saw the original video I was just waiting for Abbey to review this!
What is Marmite though? Never heard of it until I watched the video
It's like a yeast spread. It's very umami, but it's a lovely or hate thing. I love it 😀
It's basically a very salty paste. It's great as a stock in sauces, on toast etc. A lot of people hate it on its own but I recommend it as a stock alternative to everyone.
hi abbey nice to find your channel, lots of great info and cool povs, what's your take ion raw egg consumption besides the salmonella risk? i've been having a couple for breakfast for some time now.. tyvm!!!
LOL LOL at the full english image being vegan! Tofu scramble, what looks like tofu bacon - etc. Looks perfect to me.
I didn't realise that when she said "pepper" she meant capsicum. I was like 'how do chop pepper'? Thinking of pepper corns.
Speaking of eggs, I tried the cottage cheese in eggs trick, GAME CHANGER! Thank you for the idea!
Ooh what is that trick?
Lol I thought that's what scrambled eggs were universally made.
she's just so cute and genuinely relatable though? Like i love her
The most satisfying videos to watch when I’m feeling stuck in disorderd eating! Helps me remember food is and can be enjoyable!💕
What a beautiful woman, inside and out. (Both of you, lol!) I love getting glimpses of Florence's love for her dad and how she honors her relationship with him through making food that are so dear to her heart. It really made me think about food in a different way.
Related to childhood food restriction, I was not allowed chocolate or cheese when I was younger as I was allergic, bad migraines. But once I was older and I grew out of the allergy these were my go to binge foods to the point of bulimia. I am much better now but cheese is still my go to nibble from the fridge. This is why I hate restriction in diet culture. 😒
Love this! Would you recommend 4 fried eggs a day (not in one meal) for someone in their mid 20s?
Tati just did a Q&A video about her diet. “I was making myself sick.” I would love to hear your opinion. I am watching it and have so many questions……..
Tati has terrible food advice
OMG I thought I was the only one who loves that PB and carrot moment!
The way some people describe their cooking has me thinking "yeahhh you don't make that every day"
I find your content so helpful and educational, you are my comfort person! and not to mention a girl boss! i am a nursing student and i always think back to your content when i feed my patients and help prepare their meals. thank you for the no bs and awesome content ❤️
Thanks for being here!❤
I have been living in the UK for military . In my opinion , diet culture , or from what I have seen , is not a big thing here like it is in the state . Food here is hearty and balanced . If you eat out at cafes ,
you will find items like egg sandwiches, salad , sausage sandwiches , jacket potatoes and other items . Also , you will find tea with scones too with clotted cream . It’s pretty delicious.
I was wondering if you could do a review on tik tok fitness and health type ads!?! I get a lot of that weighted hula hoop and the beyond body book! I'd like to see your thoughts on those type things
I just got diagnosed with egg, dairy and wheat intolerance and also I’m vegetarian…what high protein breakfast do you recommend?
The more I hear from Florance, the more I like her. She's the type of high profile woman we need more of in this world. I also love cheese and eggs. And Marmite.
Great video as always Abbey. Florence is cool
Marmite and peanut butter is a magic combo!!
As someone from New Zealand I love marmite and anyone who says otherwise just isn't used to it!!!! I GREW UP on marmite
I appreciate you so much Abbey! I have started telling my kids to choose nutrient dense or balanced foods/meals instead of "healthy". That switch has been such a shift for my family. Thank you!
Wow, Flo! That's a proper Italian salad!
hi 🙂
can you please make a video about histamine intolerance? opinion, advices...
(i'm from different country and this diagnosis not popular here, but i think i have this)
Second this!
Yes Please
This is so refreshing. I love love love her.
Marmite is also a great replacement for beef bullion or beef stock in vegan cooking!
I saw "food aries" and got way too excited. I am a melon.
Hey Abbey could you do a video talking about the resurgence of pro ana content on tik tok, and people idolising and trying the Bella hadid diet? It seems like younger people are going through what we did in the early 2000s and is super worrying!
I first tried Marmite in grad school on plain bread and crackers. It was pretty salty but not bad!
I love Florence!! More cooking with Flo. ❤
I am obsessed with Flo. Thank you for reviewing her WIEIAD!!
It would be interesting to see you review Tirion Law. She's a ballerina with National Ballet of Canada.
That woman is pure class and a joy to listen to ❤
Finally someone else who loves the carrot and peanut butter combo 🤤😂
People think I’m crazy when I say I love this, I feel like almost no one has ever heard of it. But I grew up eating it as a kid and I thought everyone else did too
Mila kunis just had a what I eat in a day! Please review I thought it was great !
It's 11am and I now have a mighty need for a cheese board 😂
