The shooter, known to law enforcement, went on chase with cops, somehow went to the school and entered through a door that’s supposed to be locked, and was left alone in there for an hour and half while cops waited outside? And he used ar-15’s the exact gun the government wants banned.

I know it’s hard to understand but you can’t break apart because your spouse and the children you still have need you.
The way he spoke about her as if she were still alive, broke my heart even more. Because reality still hadn't fully set in. As a mother, I can't even begin to imagine the pain.
That was what hurt me the most is he still hasn’t come to the reality that she’s gone
That's how I felt when my grandmother, who was the closest thing I'd had to a mother because she's the one who raised me, passed away due to cancer. I just couldn't believe or accept that she was gone. I'd have dreams in which she was still there and convince myself that her death was just a bad dream I'd had, only to wake up and be reminded all over again that she's gone. In my dreams, I still lived with her at her house, where I grew up. I mean, that's still the case, even to this day. I still haven't really dealt with the loss. I kind of just haven't allowed myself to think about it too much because when I start thinking about it, I start to enter a depressive episode. And the empty feeling that comes with that is the most painful thing.
Of course, I don't think that could compare to how a father must feel, having lost his daughter in such an instance as this. I think that would utterly destroy me. But I can sort of get what it's like to have a hard time accepting that that person is already gone. That you'll never spend another day with them or see their face again. It still doesn't feel real. I'm not sure it ever will, especially for this man or any of the other family members of those lost.

I can’t help but weep for these parents. As a mother myself, I cannot even imagine me being in their spot, but I feel so bad they’re in this tragedy. Homeschooling is difficult, but do we risk sending our children to school, only for them to possibly face being murdered? Children are in school to learn, not be senselessly killed. My heart is absolutely BROKEN 💔
I started homeschooling my kids in 2020, they haven't been back to school since, and now I know for sure I'm not sending them back, I can't imagine what these parents are going through. My heart is heavy for all the families.

As a mother of 10 years couldn't stop crying this hits different
“I just wanna protect my little girl” is what hit me hard, the fact he can’t even comprehend that his little girl isn’t here anymore . How he cries at the end wishing his “little girl could come home.” I can only imagine the devastation of knowing that that daily walk through the door coming home from school isn’t going to happen now. It disgusts me how we seemingly haven’t learned a thing from Floridas shooting, and other shootings across the states. I pray for some sort of happiness for the families.

Yes indeed, I’ve cried all day for these babies, their teachers & the gunmans grandmom who allowed him to live in her & her husbands home. I have 5 grandchildren & I can’t imagine something like this happening to any of them.

Me too. I have a 6 year old in school and 2 toddlers and first thing every morning they ask for their brother. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be these families. My son's school has a ton of security for a country school in the woods. There was a child a couple weeks ago who threatened him and the child was immediately suspended and sent to counseling. They're 6! They're just babies. What is going on that these kids resort to this?

my tears drop as I see these fathers weep... I lost my 10 year old daughter 4 years ago walking home from school... I know what they will be going through and my heart breaks because I know how hard it was for me to bury my daughter or say my final farewell. May god shine the light during their darkest time... It'll be a very hard journey forward... It's going to be hard... been 4 years and I still go through very bad episodes... My daughter will welcome them into the kingdom of heavens, they will soon be best friends...

That’s why the news mostly broadcasts negative stories. Personally.. given the lack of tears or puffy/pink eyes/nose that comes with crying - he likely was trying to make himself cry for the camera.
Comments (and/or engagement) on videos also contributes to the algorithm; hence the comments somewhat praising the journalist.
