- The taxi driver who rushed a worried father to the grounds of the Route 91 Harvest Festival Sunday is speaking out. John Zerquera-Jimenez drove the worried father who got in his cab as they sped to the area of the concert shooting. The daughter, Ashley, her husband and several others crammed in the back of the cab, but the driver didn't mind. #InsideEdition

Years later and everytime I watch this I cry. The bravery of both fathers, the kindness of letting everyone and anyone pile in, the humanity is just absolutely heart warming. They were heroes that night, and they saved more than just the people who got into the car, but also all their friends and family who would have been broken hearted if they had lost their loved ones. Absolutely incredible. 🧡
Poor dad looks so helpless while he sits there in the passenger seat. There is nothing more stressful than the calm before the storm (ie. The ride to your kids, the waiting in the hospital etc). I've been in a similar situation, having to rush to my child who is in danger and just feeling like I can't get there fast enough. I don't wish that on anyone. That driver was awesome.
