I love reading Addy's books. The doll is gorgeous. This video reminds me of the day that I opened my PC Addy in 1994. I am going to hug my Beforever Addy now. Her birthday outfit is so beautiful!

Ohmygosh I'm so happy it can fit the older dolls!! I wasn't planning on getting this as all my dolls are older thicker dolls, but now that i know these outfits can fit the older girls, i definitely plan to get at least Addy's birthday dress now! I wish it was cheaper than 55, as thats a little high for a single doll outfit, but that is still cheaper than what the original sells for on the second hand Market. I do wish they had made the accessories available on their own, as i would love for my addy to have her accessories. I just got through watching your Kirsten video as well and i love that it seems like american girl is finally listening to us all about bringing the originals back and making the clothes able to fit the older girls as well. Hopefully they keep going in this direction and give the historicals the attention they deserve! And yes on the book sets! Please bring the 6 book sets back!
This Addy and her birthday outfit look really adorable. I would love to get them. I do have a TLC Pleasant company Addy but it would be nice to get a shiny new one. I will have to see. I hope they can do something about the dress for you. That would bother me a little too. My pleasant company Addy dress has perfectly straight lines that run parallel to the buttons. Yes if they bring back the 6 book set it would be awesome! My older daughter was an early reader but intimidated by long novels. These books were a perfect solution. The boots that come with the birthday set are almost the same as the ones with Addy's Summer plaid outfit, my 85 is wearing it right now. Might just have to get this birthday set it is so cute!
As video I'm now extra tempted to get this New Addy rerelease and save my Beforever Addy doll to play Around with her hair and my nieces could play with her too when their older and keep rerelease addy as a display doll
I am so tempted to buy a brand new Addy! My Addy was purchased from an adult, but it was her childhood doll. Although she took good care of her, she did brush out the hair so that the wig is thin now. But that purchase included her meet accessories with a plastic gourd, her birthday dress (with the yellow feather in the snood), her Christmas dress, her nightie, bed, school desk, puppet theater, birthday treats and school supplies.
So sweet! Yeah, AG really doesn't stay on top of proper fabric design alignment, none of their line print pattern designs ever seem to align properly. 😕 A kid probably wouldn't care but as a sewer my eye immediately gets drawn to the misaligned fabric prints, so frustrating! 😖

Everything is lovely. Thank you for sharing all of the details, including Kirsten's eyebrows. I was wondering what they looked like. Please let us know what AG says about her dress and the uneven lines. I'm guessing her shoelaces are burned at the ends too like Kirsten's. I wonder what they would have done back in Addy's day, as you can't do that with natural fibers (they just burn).
I want Addy so badly! Hopefully I can order her when my rewards come, every little bit helps! 😅

I purchased all three of the birthday dresses a couple weeks ago at the Charlotte, NC store and the employee checking me out said they had restocked them three times already! I hope they continue to rerelease!
On another note, has anyone else tried to get Addy’s snood/hair net from this new birthday outfit on an older Addy doll? mine is from the 1990s and this snood barely fits over her hair! Is it just me?
I noticed the page right next to page 1 of chapter 1 that it gave a heads up about the words and language used is something to not say today
The pattern cutting of American Girl garments with a clear one-way print or stripes or dots or checks has been terrible for a couple years now. My Molly school jumper is so bad I will probably never use it. I bought Claudie's blue polka dot dress and the bodice where it's attached to the skirt is off and bugs me every time she wears it. This stuff is not cheap but it is assembled in such a careless fashion that even the doll clothes at Walmart look better.
